Women’s Golf Day  |
Turtle Hill Golf Club at Fairmont Southampton is excited to host the Women’s Golf Day for the fourth consecutive year on Tuesday 4th June 2019. The event will start at 4pm with golf followed by socializing.
Women’s Golf Day is an experience happening globally where women and girls may experience golf for the first time or where current players may play and engage with women interested in golf - women’s golf.
The Golf Day is a one-day event, celebrating girls and women playing golf and learning the skills that last a lifetime. The day consists of a choice between playing and coaching, followed by complimentary cocktails and socializing!
“We at Turtle Hill are excited to support this global movement and encourage women to see the benefits of golf for building relationships.” said Scott Roy - Director of Golf.
Scott continued, “Turtle Hill is, in my opinion, the best course on the island for either beginners learning the game and gaining confidence to those who are experienced looking for a challenge. If you have ever considered playing golf, June 4th is the perfect day to start. If you’re already a golfer, it's a great day to find new partners. No matter your playing ability, you're welcome to attend.”
Join in on the fun
Participants have the option of:
Taking lessons
• 1/2 hour on the driving range or;
• 1/2 hour chipping and putting
Playing
• 9-Hole Scramble or;
• Play their own ball (as long as the round can be completed in by 6pm)
Then the fun really begins... two hours of socializing from 6 - 8pm. Sign up! The HGA is a group of golfers who play around the island and call Fairmont Turtle Hill home. On Sunday they played their Tickle Pink Tournament. Over 40 players participated and sported their favorite pink attaire.
Congratulations to Lisa Chardson for taking top honors with 37 points.
Jevon Roberts had low gross score of 56 followed by event organizer Rajesh Pachai with a 59.

Turtle Hill would like to say THANK YOU to Dionne Waldron for her many years working at Turtle Hill. She will be leaving us to pursue other opportunities.
Dionne has been with Turtle Hill for 9 years and has been instrumental in the display and ordering of the shop merchandise. She has been a strong member of the Turtle Hill family and will be greatly missed.
We wish her all the best in her new adventures.
