Media Access Request Form: Funeral Service for Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, Maranatha Baptist Church, Plains, Georgia
This media registration notifies The Carter Center of your request to access the courtesy broadcast location on the lawn outside of Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, Georgia, on Day 6. The funeral procession will arrive at the church at 10:50 a.m. The funeral service begins at 11 a.m. and departs the church at about 12:30 p.m. There will be a pool camera inside to broadcast the service.
You must choose between the courtesy broadcast locations in Plains (Maranatha or downtown), or have enough staff and resources for both locations.
There is limited space for standups and trucks outside the church. Media wishing to access this area should RSVP via this registration request form by end of day on Friday, DAY 1, 11/24/23. If your application is approved, an email communication is forthcoming. We will provide further logistical instructions to credentialed media, but it's important to note that all trucks will need to be marshaled, credentialed, and parked on Tuesday, DAY 5, 11/28/23. Please schedule accordingly.
Once your space is confirmed by The Carter Center, upon arrival you will be required to present current media ID with your photo in order to access the site. The location will open at 5 a.m. on DAY 6, 11/29/23 and media must be in place by 6 a.m.
