What followed thereafter was waiting but the collabo never came to pass, and no one was talking about it.

On Wednesday, Diamond's manager Sallam SK finally said that the collabo failed to materialise after Lil Wayne's management declined to shoot its video.

Speaking on Wasafi FM, Sallam SK said that the two, Diamond and Lil Wayne managed to record the audio, took it through the whole process where it was accepted.

However, WCB management dropped the song after its video shoot failed.

"The song went through, it was accepted, but their agreement was Lil Wayne had not planned to feature in the video. So we decided we would not do the expensive project without the video. (Nyimbo ilienda ikakubaliwa lakini katika makubaliano times ilikuwepo wao hawataweza ku-shoot video. At the moment tukaona kwa nini tunafanya project kubwa halafu haitakua na video, so we just deiced to skip it)," said Sallam

Sallam added that Diamond is very choosy when it comes to working with international artistes, where he starts by considering how famous the artist is in Tanzania, how his home fans will accept him among other considerations.

In Kenya, it is singer Akothee who managed to record a collabo with the 'Inama' hitmaker.
