Who We Are
What We Do
DuPage County ACT-SO is a mentoring and enrichment program that encourages high academic and cultural achievement among Jr. High School and High School students of African descent. The DuPage County ACT-SO Chapter which consists of students from DuPage, Will, Kane, Kendall, and parts of Cook County has a year-long program that culminates in a competition held in the spring with 70-100 students competing annually. There are 32 ACT-SO competition categories encompassed by the Sciences, Humanities, Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Business. There are almost 200 chapters nationwide.
