Know where you can find someone eating a giant bowl of Blue Bell ice cream while watching Joel Osteen on the television, all in an attempt to avoid rush hour traffic? Houston, that's where.

We came across this post on Reddit written by an Australian looking for tips of what to do and how to get around during his/her visit to the Bayou City.

Par for the course, Reddit came to the rescue, offering up tips to get around and even invitations to go have a beer or meet up at an Astros game. Way to make the city look good in front of company, Reddit!

They also offered this Redditor tips on where to eat and visit. NASA came up on the list, as did 8th Wonder Brewery and Neils Bahr. All good choices - but this post got us thinking: aside from the "where to go" tips, what would someone need to know about the people who live in Houston?
