Bad news for Thor: Loki has returned.

Actor Tom Hiddleston, who plays the trickster god in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, posted a photo of himself in character to Instagram on Tuesday. Hiddleston simply captioned the picture, “He’s back!”

Hiddleston will reprise his Marvel role in Thor: Ragnarok, which is out in theaters next year.

“I’m so excited about playing him again,” Hiddleston said earlier this year at Wizard World in Philadelphia when asked about his return to the character. “I’m four years older and Chris [Hemsworth, who plays Thor] is four years older, and there will just be new things we find in it. The most exciting thing about him is that he is always a trickster. It is trying to find new ways for him to be mischievous, because I love doing that, and I hope you guys love watching that.”

In addition to Hemsworth and Hiddleston, the third Thor film will also feature appearances from Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, and Mark Ruffalo, who plays Hulk in the Marvel films.

“The last time Loki and Hulk were in the same room didn’t go very well for Loki so, he’s got a few chips on his shoulder, but um, yeah, it’s fun,” Hiddleston teased, referencing the famous scene in Marvel’s The Avengers that can be seen below. “You’ll see.”
