The suit specifically mentions the “touch disease” video from troubleshooting and repair website iFixit, noting that the defect causes a gray flickering at the top of the display.
As iPhone repair experts discovered, the problem isn’t due to the screen itself, but a faulty connection on the device’s logic board. The suit also mentions that a metal shield, like the one on the iPhone 5s logic board, could have prevented the defect in the first place.
