Lazar Markovic will be allowed to leave Liverpool before the transfer window closes, the Liverpool Echo report.

It is claimed Markovic is not in Jurgen Klopp's plans this season and the Reds boss is happy to sanction a loan move for the Serb.

The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Fenerbahce but struggled with injuries during his time in Turkey.

Markovic played three times for Liverpool in pre-season but hasn't featured in either of the club's opening two Premier League matches.

The Reds have repeatedly been linked with a move for the England shot-stopper since it emerged last week that he was free to leave the Etihad.

Hart, who has lost his place since the arrival of Pep Guardiola, is expected to secure a loan deal away from City over the coming days following their £15.4million signing of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona.

However, Anfield won’t be his destination as Jurgen Klopp isn’t looking for another keeper.

Reds submit bid for Dortmund star

Liverpool have offered Borussia Dortmund £11million for American wonderkid Christian Pulisic, writes Aaron Flanagan.

But it is believed that Dortmund will resist all attempts from Jurgen Klopp, their former coach, to lure the winger away from the club.

Klopp worked with Pulisic during his time at Dortmund, where the 17-year-old was in the club’s academy.

He became an instant hit when he was promoted to the first-team back in February, where he scored two goals.

Despite his tender age, Pulisic is already a full USA international having earned six caps and played during this summer's Copa America.

Coutinho a doubt for Spurs clash

Philippe Coutinho could sit out of Liverpool's trip to Tottenham this weekend.

The Brazilian attacker was suffering from a tight hamstring following last weekend's defeat to Burnley and sat out the midweek EFL Cup win over Burton.

Coutinho did take part in light training at Melwood on Thursday but Jurgen Klopp admits that the Saturday lunchtime showdown could be too soon for his return, report the Liverpool Echo.

“The muscle was a little stiff,” Klopp said. “He felt something so we didn’t want to take a risk (against Burton).

“We left him out of training until now. We have to make a decision with what we can do with him."

Klopp rubbishes Henderson exit talk

Jurgen Klopp has dispelled any questions about the future of Jordan Henderson by insisting: “If I had any doubt, he wouldn’t be here.”

The Liverpool skipper endured a miserable season of injury last year, which threw his Anfield career under a harsh spotlight, writes David Maddock.

Amid claims of Spurs interest, there were strong suggestions that Reds boss Klopp was not impressed with his form and fitness, and may be prepared to sell him.

That tallied with fan unrest and criticism but last night the German dismissed speculation by flatly denying Henderson was on the way out.

“I see him every day in training so if I was doubting him he would not be here,” said Klopp emphatically.

“I like this player and he is very important for this club. There is absolutely no doubt.”
