4.5 Nice guys do it better Stars
If you're looking for a whole new and sexy spin on a trope that's been done countless times but still an old time favorite? This is definitely the book for you. Yes you get the brother hooks up with his little sister's best friend thing...and yet, it was also so much more.
Josie Butler is a good girl. Having just gotten out of long term relationship that had all the excitement of watching paint grow, and just as much passion, she decides that now is the time to add a little excitement to her life. Considering she leaves for London in two weeks, it gives her the perfect opportunity. First things? No more nice, safe, and boring guys. Nope! She needs passion, excitement, she needs a bad boy....she also needs a to-do list to keep track of this.
Gotta be organized when embracing your bad girl side, right? So imagine her surprise when her best friend's older brother and nice guy, Mack, notices her list the night after.
Mack Kennedy is a nice guy. Considering his ex cheated on him with a bad boy because he was just too "nice" for her, it's not exactly a title he holds dear. But when he finds Josie's list, suddenly he stops seeing the sweet girl next door and his sister's best friend. All of a sudden she's a woman...with breasts...that his lower half is suddenly very happy to get to know better.
When he calls Josie's bluff on the list, she's more than happy to prove him wrong. And when he realizes this, all of a sudden his inner bad boy and caveman come roaring to life.
Thus begins their agreement. Mack needs to get back on the horse, so to speak, and he'll happily help Josie check (almost) every item off her check list and when Josie is off to London, they'll go back to being friends.
Mack may be a nice guy, but let me tell you, when he embraces his inner bad boy? Oh but he does it right.
This book was positively SIZZLING. The chemistry between Mack and Josie was scorching. It was also funny and sweet and everything I absolutely love in my romances.
If you're looking for a new author to love, a heroine to root for, and a hero to pant over, this is the book for you.
I absolutely loved this book. Amy Andrews caught me completely by surprise. While this was my first book by her, it certainly will not be my last. I really hope that she turns this into a series and gives us Sal's book next. A sexy romance that I enjoyed from beginning to end.

"They were temporary lovers, that was all. Sex-list lovers. They were rebound sex."
This was an easy fast read that completely lacked originality but if you are in the mood for a cookie cutter story line with very hot sex scenes and a hea then look no further.
Josie is visiting her best friend who lives with her brother Mac. One drunken night Sal helps Josie write a sex to do list since she has just ended a boring relationship and she yearns to really live it up sexually.
Mac is a vet, he is a nice guy and to most this saying is the kiss of death and sadly his past long term relationship ended because of it. During Josie’s visit he sees her very differently and she has stirred all sorts of sexual feelings in him and for the first time they see one another in a different light.
Mac offers to help Josie cross some items off her to do list and in return he gets his sexual swagger back on. The two decide to just have sex during Josie’s stay and nothing more (you know how this goes).
” Screw it. No more Mr. Nice Guy, right?”
”You and me.” He lowered his head until he was growling in her ear. “Tonight. Naked in my bed. Fucking. Begging me for more.”
This story was extremely steamy and has a nice hea but sadly in a month or so I don’t see myself remembering the characters names or the story still it was entertaining.

Josie just ended a five years relationship. A boring relationship with obviously boring sex. She wants adventure, she wants to live a little and she plans to have all that in two weeks when she will go to UK to visit her mother.
One night, drunk, Josie makes a sexual to-do list. She needs rebound sex, but with a bad boy.
Mack is Josie’s best friend brother. He’s single for six months after his girlfriend cheated. The reason – because he was too sweet and nice.
“You’re just angry because I called you nice.”(…)
“I’m not.”
“You’re not angry? Or you’re not nice?”(…)
“Oh, I’m nice,” he said. “I’m just not that nice.”(…)
“Mack?”
“Okay,”(…)
“Okay what?”
“Okay,” (…) “No more Mr. Nice Guy.”
Mack finds Josie sex list and from that moment he realizes she’s a woman and not only his sister best friend. Mack can’t imagine how Josie will do such things from her sex list, because Josie is mature and responsible. He’s a nice guy, so...he offers to help Josie cross some items off her sex list.
They don’t want to ruin their friendship, so they make a pact – what happens between them in those two weeks isn’t going to change them. When these two weeks are over they’ll go back being friends.
“I hate to disappoint you, but there’s not going to be anything ladylike about me tonight.”(…)
“Good,” (…)“I prefer women with dirty mouths and filthy minds.” He pulled out the two sets of handcuffs.(…) “You up for it?”
As they begin to spend more and more time together between the sheets, they start to fall for each other.

Mack is a nice, sweet guy, yeah, but he’s also a dirty talker.
I really like him! Josie was a little childish and a little annoying, but she was ok too.
This one was a nice, enjoyable read,even if it was predictable and the premise was nothing new. It was sweet, sexy and a little funny too at times. The sex scenes are hot and they are many, so everything is good!!:):)
Overall, I liked it!!

I love best friends older brother story but I felt like something was missing. Could be they jumped from knowing each other for 15 years to going through her sex list. Maybe I wasnt ready for a smutty read. Or maybe I just didn't feel the chemistry.
Whatever the reason it was a still an alright book especially if you are stuck on what to pick up next. There was loads of sexy time which is always a bonus. Characters were a bit bland and easily forgettable though.

Recently out of a relationship, Josie decides to take a vacation in her best-friend house before moving to London. In one drunk night, they made a “Sex List” for Josie because she believes the only way of get the "boringness" out of her life is getting sexually adventurous. The problem? Next day Mack, the best-friend’s older brother and one of the nicest guys she knows find the list. And after a few events he’s suddenly not so nice anymore and wants to the list with her.
But there’s the thing with everything that starts with just sex… eventually it gets emotional.
The second problem? When their feelings starts to grow they realize they’re about to live in two different sides of the world.
So they will have to realize two things: how to admit their feelings and overcome the distance… or admit that some things aren’t just meant to be. After, they were just each other’s rebounds.
Rating: 3,5 Stars.
Storyline: A sexy, easy and fast reading steamy romance… with too much steam and too little romance. For a friends-to-lovers kind of story it kind of missed the point where we can see the feelings change and all the lollipops that comes with it. Other than that, it was a sweet, steamy and entertaining reading.
Writing Style: Third person. Dual POV.
Character Development: Josie was sweet but she hang on her mother’s past and on her last relationship too much. Eventually she got over it and well, I liked her. Mack was also good, not an alpha-male in any way (although the author tried to turn him into one), but still a sweet, sexy and very likable guy. I liked Sal too, it would be nice to read a book about her.
Steam: Hot.

No More Mr. Nice Guy is the first book I have read by Amy Andrews, and I know after finishing it in one sitting, that it will 100% not be my last.
Josie Butler, having just come out of a ‘beige’ relationship, with a ‘beige’ guy, is looking to shake up her life in general and her sex life in particular. Things take an unexpected turn for the better whilst she is staying with her best friend Sal, and Sal’s brother Mack, until she catches her flight to the UK to start a new chapter of her life. One drunken girly night, one errant sex ‘to-do’ list, and some crazy-hot mutual chemistry and ladies we are off!
Screaming orgasms should be every woman’s right.
Three of my favorite things appear in this book –
• A Sexy Australian
• Who is also a Veterinarian
• And is extremely proficient when it comes to sexy-sex and dirty talking!
”Hold onto my shoulders.”
“Wh-what?” … “Why?”

And what then unfolds is a writing master class of how to deliver up a book that will grab the reader and keep them entertained for however long it takes too finish reading.
Mack Kennedy – Swoon, pant, swoon some more, then jump on a plane to Australia to find a guy of your own just like him. Tiger in the bedroom (and the occasional alleyway), absolute sweetheart with his patients and a totally lovable all-round good guy, worked for me I have nothing negative to say about him. He stood up, put out, said what needed to be said and backed it all up with his actions.
”First Kisses shouldn’t be like that.”
“What should they be like?”
“Soft” … “and sweet, okay? They should be… slow. They should… build. They should be exquisite and full of ache and want and… anticipation.”
Another winner from the Entangled Brazen stable, and I hope we don’t have to wait too long for Sal to get her book, the little snippets you are given into her background in this book, make me think it will be another out-and-out winner!

'No More Mr. Nice Guy' perfectly executed it's job in being a quick smut read with fun, frolics and dirty talking.
It was one of the hottest reads I’ve read from 'Entangled'.
It could have easily been much more. I would have loved to have seen the development from beta to alpha.... and from friends to lovers. But it was satisfactory - for an erotic read – to just be told about it.
Shall be looking for more from this author.

Ok, it isn't as easy as that... Mr. Nice Guy, Mack wants to dirty up his image and Josie... Well Josie wants it dirty!
Obviously the "in the name of the list" plan doesn't stick and those pesky emotions get in the way. I still found enjoyment in its predictability and although a short read, I never felt as though it was rushed or had chunks missing. I found both MC's pleasant and likeable, the plot was engaging with the right amount of steamy interludes. All in all, I found it a quick, simple and fun.

This started off really good, Vet Mack finds a sex 'to do' list that his sisters bestie wrote one night whilst sloshed and takes the piss out of her about it. When she accuses him of being too 'nice' he proves her wrong by taking her hard and fast down an alley.
The rest of the book is them ticking things off the list, but reiterating that it is only rebound sex and that the whole thing will end when she moves to London in 2 weeks time.
That's about it really, it was good for a filler read on a Saturday afternoon. I liked Mack, he was pretty hot stuff.

What can I say… I liked it. I would give it 3.5 stars.
Yes the story line was predictable. Yes it’s been done lots of times before, but isn’t that why we love these types of books.
This story was fun, romantic, and sexy all in one. And let’s be honest, who hasn’t had a crush on a friend’s brother at one time or another?
It was an easy read with a happy ending.
Indulge. I don’t think it will disappoint.

Holy hell… I practically devoured this book in one sitting. Amy Andrews made her readers see that being nice pays off in the long run. This book was sweet, fun, sexy, and sizzling. Amy definitely took a fresh new spin approach on a storyline that has been used before. She surprised me on how she made No More Mr. Nice Guy her own. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for this author. So if you are looking for a sexy fun romance then look no further because this book had it all from humor to steam and romance.

I enjoyed the majority of this book. It was lighthearted. It was steamy. It played out nicely.
The main characters were easy to like. And I truly enjoyed my little romp with them. I found the plot a little tired. It was extremely predictable. But that's the easy read I was expecting from this book. My only real problem with it ... The use of the word Cunnalingus. Could there be a more horribly suited word in the entire English language? Lol! I can think of at least a dozen replacements ... All of which are way more fun, way more sexy & don't make me think of my high school sex ed class.
Overall another fun Brazen title added to my shelf ;)

I was looking forward to reading this after I read a lot of my friends reviews on here, I even pre ordered and I could not wait to jump in.
I'm sad to say I was bored. Josie annoyed me Curtis this Curtis that blah blah. Mack bored me he was no alpha male he did not get my juices going. The story was about the sex list and nothing else.
I found myself skimming the last 30% as I do not like DNF and I wanted to know how it ended. I know I am in a minority here as everyone else gave it 4 or 5 stars but you can't like them all.

Mack Kennedy has known Josie since was a girl, given she's his little sister's best friend. He shares an apartment with his sister, above the veterinary surgery they jointly run, and Josie has decamped there prior to moving to London.
Mack comes across Josie's list, and struggles to not only see how she has not managed quite a few items on there already, but figures he might just be the man for the job.
On a rescue mission to pick up Josie one night, and following a conversation between them that suggests Mack might be too nice for the "list job", they find themselves getting hot and heavy in a dark alley. If there were any lines to be aware of, to not cross, this now puts them in a very blurry place.
I really enjoyed this best friend's brothers tale. Their history had given them familiarity, but their determination to conquer Josie's list made for great reading. It had many delicious elements to it, making this first time read from this author, a winner for me. Here's hoping it's Sal's turn next..

I LOVED this one! I'm a sucker for the Entangled/ Brazen books and this one did not disappoint! Super hot easy read. But a surprise for me..this was the first Brazen book that ever made me cry I think! One scene with a horse... seriously brought the sniffles on. Very moving scene. I love a friends to lovers book, especially when the couple has a long history of friendship like Josie and Mack had...

I laughed at their banter, sighed and swooned over Mack's exceptional skills and had a little cry at the heartfelt. It packs all the feels.
Amy Andrews isn't a new author to me and I know she does sexy, but this is by far the hottest I've read. She has brought us a fun, entertaining, scorching hot read with an injection of sweet that I didn't want to end and when I'd finished I may have been a little cheeky and asked her if we are going to be treated to Sal's story. The answer? YES *happy dance* and from what we have seen of her personality, her love for Mack and Josie, their sparring and glimpse of her past, I absolutely cannot wait. Impatient? Me? Damn right.
“...I feel like I’ve been hit by a Mack truck. And I want to do it all over again.”

Please in another lifetime... may I have the balls to write a drunken list like the one thought up by our main character, Josie. Yes, it was her liberated girlfriend who pushed all the drunken buttons and helped to make it all happen... but damn, the discovery of that list and what happens next.... is what dreams are made of....
We have Josie- and she has a best friend who's older brother, Mack, is smokin' hot.... but also just plain nice. So nice his ex went and dumped him for a "bad boy"; tells him grit was what she wanted... not nice.
Mack has been lost... he has been shaken up by all of this and hasn't had any action for quite awhile. Josie just dumped her ex because she really never had the passion... it was dull and went on for too long. She is making a change in her life... she is going to leave the country and go to London in two weeks to try new things... thus the drunken list.
And what a list.... so when it is discovered by Mack while Josie is coming to from the drunken night before... our story takes off...
Ar first Josie is rightfully embarrassed... Mack looks at said list and is surprised Josie has put some of these things down to try ....for others... he scratches his head... because for her to have been in a long term relationship and never to have experienced them... what the heck was the guy doing????
Now Mack is seeing Josie differently... they have been buds and really great ones... but she is all woman now in his eyes and he really doesn't want her risking herself with just anyone to do these things... he somehow decides to take her by the hand and do them to her himself...
He just needs to convince her he isn't only "nice" but has the "bad boy" in him for her list....
Ok... this is where I advise you to wear fire retardant undies and handle your E Reader with care.... because Mack will set you on Fire... He is the whole package... he is a dirty talking stud who knows what he is doing at all times...he has the goods and causes our Josie to become addicted to his touch... Hell, I was only reading about his goods... and I was addicted!
This was a very fun read and I am glad to have met Amy Andrews. She writes sassy, sexy and touching. She doesn't take her self seriously yet gives us a story with a fresh feel. I will be looking for more from her.

I'm a big fan of the Entangled Brazen collection but this was my first book by Amy Andrews. It was a hit for me! It was fun and sexy. Both characters made me laugh and were easy to like!

Josie barely registered the low request. She couldn’t think for the sight of him below her, his head so close, so intimately positioned, a look of utter purpose in his eyes.
“Wh-what?” she asked, her voice husky as her lust-drunk brain scrambled to keep up. Hold on? “Why?”

I loved that even though they had been friends for so long they ended up having amazing chemistry together. Josie certainly brought out something in Mack I could certainly appreciate it.
“You and me.” He lowered his head until he was growling in her ear. “Tonight. Naked in my bed. Fucking. Begging me for more.”
It was a quick read but totally enjoyable. I'd recommend for readers that like other Entangled Brazen books, and readers that like contemporary romances with a side of humor. A solid read! I'll definitely be reading more from this author in the future!

The ending was just WAY TOO ABRUPT for my liking. Before settling on a rating, I need to reconcile the many things that I DID like about this novella w/ the things that I was less than thrilled about. Overall, it was a fairly enjoyable read for me, & it was the kind of smutty, lighthearted read that I so desperately needed. Most of my Goodreads friends know that I spent last week in "BOOK HELL"— the WORST kind of Book Hell during which, I was forced to give one of my favorite authors 0.5 stars for her latest novel. So needless to say, the novella No More Mr. Nice Guy was a most-welcomed distraction. I just need more time to come up with a suitable rating.

Update at the novella's 25% mark:
I'm only 25% of the way through, but here are my initial thoughts....
- IMO, the writing in the beginning is a bit shaky, a bit awkward. However, I'm willing to overlook the opening pages since the story IS a novella. The process of beginning a novel is difficult for ANY author, but I imagine that it must be doubly difficult for an author who is writing a novella & who is thereby trying to introduce & develop characters, create a plot & write a satisfactory conclusion all within a mere 200+ pages. Plus, the writing DEFINITELY improves quite drastically as the storyline progresses.
- The heroine (Josie) has been best friends with the hero's younger sister (Sal) for the past 15 years. Sal's brother & the hero of the story (Mack) somewhat reminds me of those uber-alpha heroes that author Kristen Ashley is famous for creating-- "somewhat" being the operative word. Mack is fiercely protective, & I have to admit that in the beginning, he does come across as a bit of a Neanderthal. (There was one instance, in particular, when I found his comments on Josie's attire wholly offensive & inappropriate). HOWEVER, Mack is a very interesting multi-dimensional character. He's very sweet, considerate & chivalrous. Plus, he's a veterinarian who works extra-long hours & who's devoted his life to caring for animals! Mack must certainly be a genuinely good guy because 6 months ago, his longtime girlfriend broke up w/ him FOR BEING TOO NICE!!! By the time the novella opens, Mack is in limbo. He's definitely still "one of the good guys," but he's also put forth a more hardened persona. He's trying to reconcile the "good guy" that he's always been (and STILL is) with the primal, more virile side of himself that is now manifesting.
- Like Mack, Josie, too, is in limbo. After ending her 5-year relationship with her boyfriend Curtis, Josie is trying to reconcile the "good girl" that she's always been (& the "safety net" that she's always craved) with this sudden urge to get more out of life. She wants to live on the edge, & she believes that dating a bad boy may be the requisite next step in acquiring the type of life she covets.
There are several things about this novella that stand out...
1) I LOVE the fact that Josie's ex-boyfriend isn't portrayed as a cheater or a sociopath with a secret alternate life. Their breakup was civil & mature, & it didn't leave Josie completely broken... it only left her "confused" (and rightfully so). I find the author's portrayal of their breakup quite refreshing: At twenty-five, after the most unexciting marriage proposal in the entire history of unexciting proposals, she'd suddenly realized her life was dull & predictable, and she wanted more. Deserved more. And so did Curtis. He deserved a woman who was totally into him. Not someone who was only there because he was the safe option.
2) I also love many of the novella's hilarious quotes & the witty dialogue. In an effort to live a more exciting life, Josie (with the help of Sal) comes up a "sexual bucket list."
Furthermore, the banter between Josie & Mack is truly pretty hysterical at times.
Gosh, these two are cute! The "Anne of Green Gables" comment had me LMAO! :)

Update at the novella's 25% mark:
I'm only 25% of the way through, but here are my initial thoughts....
- IMO, the writing in the beginning is a bit shaky, a bit awkward. However, I'm willing to overlook the opening pages since the story IS a novella. The process of beginning a novel is difficult for ANY author, but I imagine that it must be doubly difficult for an author who is writing a novella & who is thereby trying to introduce & develop characters, create a plot & write a satisfactory conclusion all within a mere 200+ pages. Plus, the writing DEFINITELY improves quite drastically as the storyline progresses.
- The heroine (Josie) has been best friends with the hero's younger sister (Sal) for the past 15 years. Sal's brother & the hero of the story (Mack) somewhat reminds me of those uber-alpha heroes that author Kristen Ashley is famous for creating-- "somewhat" being the operative word. Mack is fiercely protective, & I have to admit that in the beginning, he does come across as a bit of a Neanderthal. (There was one instance, in particular, when I found his comments on Josie's attire wholly offensive & inappropriate). HOWEVER, Mack is a very interesting multi-dimensional character. He's very sweet, considerate & chivalrous. Plus, he's a veterinarian who works extra-long hours & who's devoted his life to caring for animals! Mack must certainly be a genuinely good guy because 6 months ago, his longtime girlfriend broke up w/ him FOR BEING TOO NICE!!! By the time the novella opens, Mack is in limbo. He's definitely still "one of the good guys," but he's also put forth a more hardened persona. He's trying to reconcile the "good guy" that he's always been (and STILL is) with the primal, more virile side of himself that is now manifesting.
- Like Mack, Josie, too, is in limbo. After ending her 5-year relationship with her boyfriend Curtis, Josie is trying to reconcile the "good girl" that she's always been (& the "safety net" that she's always craved) with this sudden urge to get more out of life. She wants to live on the edge, & she believes that dating a bad boy may be the requisite next step in acquiring the type of life she covets.
There are several things about this novella that stand out...
1) I LOVE the fact that Josie's ex-boyfriend isn't portrayed as a cheater or a sociopath with a secret alternate life. Their breakup was civil & mature, & it didn't leave Josie completely broken... it only left her "confused" (and rightfully so). I am so in love with this.
Mack is amazing, Josie (Josephine) is funny and kinda sassy (love the name, guess you guys know why) .
I read it in one sitting. It was entertaining, funny, real and by all means HOT!
Why did I not give it 5 stars, then?
I am gonna tell you. I would love to have read an actual conversation between the two of them. Hearing them getting to know each other. They did try, but it soon ended in a VERY HOT sex scene. I know they have known each other for 15 years, so it is a different situation. They are already familiar with each other, but I guess I am a bit old fashioned, then.
As much as I enjoyed all the hot sex scenes, I do occasionally enjoy conversations.
It was not that they didn't exist, I guess I just wanted more. And by all means that is positive because it has been a long time since I instantly liked the main characters as much as I did these two and want to know MORE. Reading about their thoughts was helpful and I enjoyed it tremendously. I will totally recommend it, especially if you are in need of a little fun, but SEXY read.
This will not be the last I read from this author. Very well done Amy Andrews, well done.

My Opinion:
Loved it! Very sexy book, that had a great mix of scenes and enough emotion to grab you and make you want to finish reading this. Josie and Max have known each other for years and after Josie makes a drunken list, Max starts to see her in a different light. How can you not fall for a sweet, sexy vet like Max?
I totally enjoyed them becoming a couple. I do see Amy has a #2 book about Sal that I will just HAVE to read! Great writing and you will want to turn those pages and will be sad when they end. This steamy read goes by to fast but you will love it. Age old tale of friends turned lovers but it is so sweet and wonderfully written and there are some steamy scenes! You will fall in love with Mack and Josie. It is a must read!

This was my first Amy Andrews story and I just loved it to pieces!! Lordy, Lordy....where is my "Mack" truck??? Why am I always in the wrong line??? ;)
Ms. Andrews has written a really great story....except....it was tooo short!! I am such a greedy reader...always wanting more!! But I must admit, that this was perfect. It was very funny, sexy, beautifully written and even had me tearing up during one of Mack's Vet calls. :( All three characters in this book were fabulous. I truly adored Mack and Josie together exploring her "List." I think that their years of friendship set them up to be the perfect couple, even though, neither would admit it at first. And Sal's reaction was just as I expected! (what a way to find out your brother and your best friend are hooking up!!!) hahahaha ;)
This was such a treat that I look forward to more from Ms. Andrews. :)

I'm not gonna lie , that book was PURE SMUT ! and damn but it was H.O.T ! , It never got boring , it just kept getting hotter and hotter , the storyline isn't that strong which is why I only gave it 3 stars . but like I said , It was too hot in the book to care about anything else ;) I loved our not so nice hero , I liked the heroine , a really fun read !

2 Disappointing Stars.
Man, I was so excited to read this! But shouldn't have expected more since it's a Brazen book and they usually never do it for me.
Basically, Josie has just come out of a extremely boring five year relationship that was very passionless. She decides that she needs a bad boy to spice up her sex life. She's like
And Mack, her best friend's brother is all like
There are many tropes in this story as well: friends to lovers, best friend's brother, and friends with benefits. It's very rare that I find a book with the 'friends to lovers' trope in which their friendship actually feels genuine instead of a cop out way to go from 0 to 100 without having to do much work. And I did not feel fifteen years of friendship between Josie and Mack. They went from purely platonic to wanting to jump each others bones in one night.
You'll like this if you just want a smutty book because it's just sex, sex, and more sex. I personally need a little more meat in my books. I also understand that since this is a Brazen book, the main ingredient is hot sex but I've read numerous Brazen books which have the right balance between sex and plot.

Adorably erotic, endearingly sexy and lustfully loveable!
These two! So what do you get when you mix the best friend’s brother and a need to get over an ex? No More Mr. Nice Guy! Mack and Josie are the cutest, sexiest couple I have come across in a while. One of my fave Aussie romances of all time. Ms Andrews has written a book that's original, hilarious and engaging. Oh and HOT. HOT I SAY. I adored Mack as a male lead and while I liked Josie this book is special to me because it introduces the heroine of the next Naughty or Nice book, Sal, a woman whom I would gladly buy several shots of tequila. "If you build it, they will come," indeed Sal.
