MINSK, 15 August (BelTA) – As of 15 August Belarus harvested more than 6,225,700 million tonnes of grain, the Agriculture and Food Ministry informed.
Minsk Oblast is the leader with 1.6 million tonnes of grain so far. Brest Oblast has harvested 1.1 million tonnes Gomel Oblast and Grodno Oblast over 1 million tonnes each. Mogilev Oblast has cropped 852,500 and Vitebsk Oblast - 536,300 tonnes.
So far, 82.2% (1.8 million hectares) of the areas sown with grain crops have been harvested in Belarus.
The average yield makes up 34.3 centners per hectare.
Belarusian agrarians have delivered 727,700 tonnes of grain as part of public procurement contracts, or 67% of the plan.
