Suspect turns self in after Anniston man shot to death late Friday night

An Anniston man was shot to death Friday night, and another man turned himself into police this morning.

Calhoun County Coroner Pat Brown said Vincent Tyrone Robinson, 26, was pronounced dead at 12:10 a.m. today.

He died of multiple gunshots in the 300 block of Elm Street at Constantine Homes. Robinson was pronounced dead on the scene.

Karl Griffin, 32, turned himself into police this morning and has been charged with murder, according to Police Chief Shane Denham.

Griffin told police the two men were arguing in a parking lot after 11 p.m. when both of them drew pistols.

Police are still investigating.
