Wabash captured its fourth consecutive "Little State" title by placing five runners in the top-20 among Division II, III, and NAIA programs at the Indiana Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships Friday night.

The Little Giants raced through the rain-soaked course to capture second, third, and fourth places atop Little State division.
Mason McKinney earned runner-up honors by crossing the finish line in 26:31.38, placing 17th overall against all men's runners.
Dominic Patacsil placed third in the Little State listings with a time of 26:44.96 (21st overall).
Colin Rinne finished fourth at 26:48.78 (25th overall).

A pair of freshmen completed the team scoring for the Red Pack. Johnny Kirts posted a time of 27:39.11 over the 8,000-meter course to finish in 13th place (47th overall).
Sam Henthorn raced to 17th place by finishing in 27:44.64 (51st overall).

Murphy Sheets scored a 30th-place finish with a time of 28:10.53.
Aaron Tincher placed 42nd by posting a time of 28:38.29.
Jonah Woods toured the course in 29:11.70 to place 58th.
Free Kashon finished 60th with a time of 29:17.43.

Wabash scored 39 points, easily outdistancing Marian University in second place with 96 points. Indiana Tech finished third with 119 points.

Eight Little Giant runners competed in the men's open 8,000-meter race.
Hayden Baehl was the top finisher for Wabash, placing 33rd out of 93 runners with a time of 29:15.30.
Robert Wunderlich III crossed the finish line in 29:15.88 one spot back in 34th place. Drew Brake ran a time of 29:28.52 (37th place), while
Chandler Steward finished in 29:46.61 (40th).
Matthew Bailey turned in a time of 29:54.05 (43rd). An
Drew Lukens finished in 31:14.58 (62nd).
Spencer Shank placed  81st with a time of 30:00.94, while
Steven Reidell finished in 34:58.26 (86th).

The Little Giants return to action October 1 at the NCAA Division III Pre-Nationals as a preview of the championship course for the meet to be held November 19. Spalding University serves as the host school for both races.
