Video Editor/Producer - Digital Content 

Description

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), headquartered in Daytona Beach, FL, is currently seeking a full-time Video Editor/Producer – Digital Content. Reporting to the Director - Digital Strategy, this position is responsible for conceptualizing, shooting, editing and producing video content for LPGA.com and LPGA Social Channels. We are searching for an exceptional story teller that can showcase our exciting athletes and organization across a variety of digital mediums.  This position is based in Daytona Beach, FL and will be required to travel approximately 30% of the calendar year (regularly for several consecutive days) and will work a varied schedule.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Produce/shoot/edit feature videos and shows/projects for LPGA.com and LPGA Social Channels by utilizing research, writing and video production skills
  • Oversee the creative execution of ideas from start to finish: ideation, scheduling, writing scripts, directing staff and talent during shoots, logging footage, editing and posting to LPGA.com and LPGA Social Channels
  • Oversee the management of the LPGA video platform (Ooyala) and the video section of LPGA.com through the use of a CMS (Sitecore)
  • Create motion graphics (intro/outro/lower thirds) that provide LPGA brand consistency throughout all LPGA.com and LPGA Social Media videos
  • Edit highlight packages and write voiceover scripts for talent
  • Provide guidance and direction to talent, players, employees, etc. during voice-over sessions and on-camera projects
  • Work with players and/or agents to schedule interviews and/or other shoots
 
Position Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Television/Film Production, Communications and/or related area of study
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in video production including single and multi-camera field production
  • Knowledge of interviewing and green screen lighting techniques and all phases of post-production
  • Strong storytelling skills required
  • Ability to shoot and edit is required
  • Knowledge in the area of asset management preferred
  • Experience using DSLRs for video capture is preferred
  • Strong golf knowledge is required
  • Sports production background preferred
  • Experience developing program content, generating creative treatments, organizing show rundowns, script writing for a wide variety of programming
  • Experience with the following production systems and/or technical equipment is required: non-linear video editing (Final Cut Pro X), computer graphics (After Effects, Motion, Photoshop, Illustrator etc.), logging and asset management systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are a must
  • Must be collaborative, a team player, detail oriented, able to deliver accurate, creative work within tight deadlines
