Public forums scheduled on opportunities for Berkeley County students

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Berkeley County School District will host a series of public meetings about opportunities for students, plans for growth, district finances, the next generation of high-tech jobs and how individuals can get involved.

According to a news release, attendees will hear a short presentation and have an opportunity to ask questions to a panel of district officials.

The seven meeting dates, times and locations are below. Each forum will be in the auditorium or multipurpose room of the schools listed.

  • Thursday, Sept. 29 at Stratford High School beginning at 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016 Cane Bay High School beginning at 6:30 p.m.
  • Monday, Oct.10, 2016 Berkeley High School beginning at 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016 Timberland High School beginning at 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2016, at Daniel Island School beginning at 6:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 27at Goose Creek High School beginning at 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov.  at Hanahan High School beginning at 6:30 p.m.
