TCU Baseball proves they fear no one with 2017 schedule

It’s something TCU fans have come to adore about the Frogs baseball team. They’ll go anywhere, play anyone, at any time. In past seasons, TCU has gone on the road to play the likes of Vanderbilt, USC, UCLA, Arizona State, Rice, Ole Miss, and Cal State Fullerton, while also hosting schools like Michigan State, Gonzaga, and a few of the other road schools already listed.

Last week TCU announced its 2016-17 schedule, and it affirmed that mantra that has been so fitting for the Frogs in the past.

TCU will play ten non-conference games against 2015 NCAA Tournament teams throughout their non-con slate, including games against Arizona State, Rice, Dallas Baptist, and Long Beach State.

The Frogs will also play Texas A&M, LSU, and Ole Miss as a part of the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children College Classic in Houston over the weekend of March 3-5. Frog fans should turn out in a big way for that weekend, as it should see some incredible baseball.

TCU will also mix in games against Penn State, Cal, UC Irvine, UT Arlington, Murray State, Abilene Christian, and UT Rio Grande Valley to round out their non-conference schedule.

The Frogs also face a tough Big 12 schedule that sees the travel to West Virginia and Texas Tech this season. The Red Raiders were one of three Big 12 schools that qualified for the NCAA Tournament, while West Virginia probably should have been the fourth, but was kept out by the committee.

TCU’s home conference slate includes series against Oklahoma State, Kansas, Texas, and Baylor.

The Big 12 tournament will once again be in Oklahoma City, and will start on May 23rd.
