Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight champion Conor McGregor will battle lightweight kingpin Eddie Alvarez for the 155-pound title at the upcoming UFC 205 pay-per-view (PPV) event, set for Sat., Nov. 12, 2016 inside Madison Square Garden in New York City.

And he'll do it as the -150 favorite (down from his opening line of -185).

That's according to the oddsmakers over at Bovada, who pegged the newly-crowned lightweight champion as the +120 underdog. "Notorious" has opened as the underdog just once during his mixed martial arts (MMA) career and that was for his UFC 178 showdown against Dustin Poirier.

A fight that saw the line close at -300 for the Irishman, who won by first-round knockout.

Alvarez, meanwhile, has yet to open as the betting favorite for any of his UFC fights. In fact, he was +240 when his fight against Rafael dos Anjos -- once tied to McGregor -- was booked for last July. The former Bellator champion took the Brazilian to the woodshed in that fight and emerged with UFC gold.

Can he do likewise against McGregor?
