Fractured Silence in the newest, fifth, installment of Carrie Ann Ryan’s Talon Pack series. The book follows Parker, Brandon, and Avery as they find one another and complete their triad bond/mating. This book, and all of the Talon Pack novels, are so incredibly good at keeping me entertained. They have action and tension woven throughout each and every page and I’m in awe of Ryan’s ability to create such a vast world. Even better, Carrie Ann Ryan’s stories never feel stale. Even though I’ve read triad books in this series before, Ryan was able to create new energy in the relationship, mating and sex scenes throughout Fractured Silence. Never once did I feel like Avery, Brandon and Parker were extensions or copies of previous characters or that Fractured Silence copied previous scenes. However, even though I’ve read previous Talon Pack (and Redwood Pack) books, I got a little lost in the world here. The characters and rules of this series weren’t fresh in my mind and I didn’t feel like Fractured Silence gave me enough information for me to pick relevant items out of my brain. As a result, I was lost for a good portion of this book regarding the rules of the Talon world. For example, I was completely lost was when Avery’s role in the pack (aka place in the hierarchy) was announced. It seemed like the announcement by Gideon was a big deal and that Avery was very unique, but I’m not gonna lie, I had no idea what was going on here! As well, Fractured Silence was extremely plot-heavy. At times the romance took a backseat to the larger Talon story arc that finished up in this book. I would still categorize this book as a romance, but this one bordered on too much plot and not enough relationship for me. A copy of this book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Carrie Ann Ryan’s FRACTURED SILENCE, is an amazing addition to the Talon Pack Series. Parker Jamenson is the son of three Packs and part of a prophecy; Brandon Brentwood is the Talon Pack Omega, and Avery Montag is the daughter of a traitor. The triad needs each other in more ways than one. This contemporary PNR is suitable for adult audiences. Parker, Brandon, and Avery are likeable characters. Parker was goddess-touched and became the voice of the wolves. He is from the line of the first hunter. He is dying and needs to find his mate. Brandon has been struggling with being Omega and is also in need of a mate. Avery is a noble character. She is nothing like her father. She is a good person that wants to make up for her father’s treachery. She is brave and nurturing. She goes through a lot of changes in this story and handles it with grace. The three characters have wonderful chemistry and complement each other well. They are stronger and better together. Once again, Carrie Ann Ryan does an amazing job with her plot. McMaster continues to be an interesting threat. He is a deceptive opponent that should not be underestimated. The prophecy was well integrated into the novel. There are some tragedies that the packs face that made my heart break for the characters. FRACTURED SILENCE is full of details and surprises. The story is skillfully written and hard to put down. I love this series and cannot wait for Carrie Ann Ryan’s next book, DESTINY DISGRACED. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I've read each books three times all the way thru every book in this series. Each character was so enjoyable. Thank you. I truly recommend this author & looking forward to reading more of her works.
