They've done it again!!

These fucking two have manage to having me ripping my fucking hair out and had my adrenaline pumping like a motherfucker for the third fucking time!

After Broken Prince my mind was all over the bastard place! I had no fucking clue what was going to happen next and my nipples were so erect with excitement to find out!

Oh my REED!!! I don't think I could love you or your balls anymore if I tried! You make me swoon so hard one minute and ripping your clothes off the next!

I know I should probably be talking about Ella now and she will be next but first let's talk about WADE!

My vagina loves him! Every time the fucker pops up my girl has a little pool party in my knickers! She wants a sex sandwich with him and Reed...in the school toilets just like Wade likes it.

FUCK ME THEY WOULD GET IT!!!

Now back to the story.

My Ella is like a little ninja! I love how strong she is and how protective she is with the ones she loves! How can you not love her and Easton's friendship *sigh* too cute!

I can't even go there with this story as I know a lot of you are waiting for this fucker to release (even though I've told you daily to stop being a huge vagina and just fucking read them already!) so I can't tell you who fucked me off and made me stabby...

But I will say I had so much fucking hate for some people in particular that I wanted to jump in my kindle and set their private parts on fire.

This is what this series does to me, it makes my fucking chest hurt and I'm wanting to throw myself out my window at the same time.

I feel like I'm on a motherfucking high when I'm in this adventure and I never want to come down.

These Royals ruined me from the very beginning and they will continue to ruin me (and my muff gate) till the very end.

This isn't over for us. I WANT MORE!!

Gideon needs a book!!

The Twins need a book!!

My Wade needs a book - where I just hold his willy throughout the whole story. Wade + Jodi + Wade's Willy = A mess.

I need to ROYALS TO LIVE FOREVER!!

Fuck, I'm already having withdrawals!!

Give me Easton's book NOW!!!!!

I never want to say goodbye!!!

Fuck my face I LOVED IT!!!!

RUINED!!!!

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS.

What I was expecting to happen when picking up Twisted Palace:
 photo 219fa5aa141805491600461570_700wa_0_zpsjvteez93.gif

What actually happened while reading majority of Twisted Palace:
 photo Dog-and-Girl-Falling-Asleep-on-Couch_zpslyk8hx00.gif

UNTIL the last 15% or so. That was when all the action FINALLY took place. But I am sad to report that the ending may have been even worse than the lackluster build up.

I am not exaggerating when I say LITERALLY NOTHING happens until the last 15-20% of the book. Which made me think what was the point of even having a third book? This was my biggest issue here. The authors could have easily added on another 100 pages to Broken Prince and explored that ending in a more thorough way. Especially considering the majority of what happened during the first 80% or so of Twisted Palace added absolutely nothing to the overall story or plot and was just a lot of mundane situations. The lead up was a snooze fest and chore to get through.

Majority of Twisted Palace summarized:

Ella: We need to find Brooke's killer.
Reed: I didn't kill Brooke.
Ella: What If Reed killed Brooke?
Reed: I didn't kill Brooke. But Ella, let's make out.
Steve: *I'm just here to be the annoying parental figure with no purpose and an extremely low IQ.*
Ella: We need to find Brooke's killer.
REPEAT.

I am sure many people will exclaim how awesome this last book was. But I am sorry to say I am not going to be one of those people. Yes this series started off with a bang, yes the authors are incredibly sweet, but this was a huge disappointment and as I said they should have just expanded Broken Prince and called it a day instead of dragging out this story.

I originally gave this two stars but the more I thought about that ending, the more annoyed I became.

❗️SPOILERS BELOW❗️

It was completely rushed and maybe I missed the explanation to how Steve was able to get in and out of the penthouse unseen and with no video footage? Huh? Did I miss this? Did he manage to avoid being caught on video by taking the service elevator? Ok but still. There were cameras OUTSIDE which is mentioned when Reed was accused. So how was he not seen? Did he scale the fucking walls like spiderman? And how in the hell did the police not question his whereabouts during the time he left the airport from the time it took him to get to the penthouse, murder Brooke, then catch a taxi and drive for another 20 or so minutes to the Royal's house? Wouldn't they have questioned him? Get his alibi? Why wasn't Steve's affair with Maria explained in more detail? All we get is that letter that was so conveniently shoved in a lamp and then found which offered no details. Or even Dinah's supposed failed attempt at murdering Steve during their hang gliding trip? How was that just skirted over? What about Brooke's backstory that was eluded in Paper Princess? Nothing on that? Maybe they are leaving these details for other books? Whatever the reason, we should have had a more detailed ending especially considering so many tidbits were mentioned throughout the first two books but they went nowhere and led to nothing. This was a 3 book series. I expected answers.

1 star for Reed because I loved him from the start. But, that's it.

Whew! What a ride this has been! After all the turmoil and drama, we finally get the answers to our questions in 'Twisted Palace'. Of course, they don't come easy and they won't come without widespread repercussions for all of our favorite characters.

Picking up where 'Broken Prince' left off, the Royal household is facing its biggest battle yet. Arrest, murder, dirty judges, blackmail - you name it! With everything that is going on in this book, the return of Ella's supposedly deceased father, Steve, is barely noteworthy in the big scheme of things.

Never have Reed and Ella faced more uncertainty about where their relationship stands, than they do in this book. Reed's very freedom is at stake, as he faces criminal charges for Brooke's murder. While Ella is determined to stand by her man, Steve is hell-bent on keeping her away from Reed.

It seems that Ella got settled into her new life with the Royals just in time to be uprooted once again. Now that Steve is back from the dead, he's determined to make up for lost time, going from deadbeat father to overprotective dad in the blink of an eye. His high-handed approach definitely didn't win him many fans, least of all Ella.

At a time when she wants nothing more than to be with, and support, Reed, Ella is forced to keep her distance. Steve is completely opposed to their relationship. As a result, Ella has to sneak around and deceive him to maintain her relationship with Reed.

In fact, Steve proved to be a major player in this book. He singlehandedly changed the dynamics of Ella's relationships with each of the Royals. For being such a close friend of the family, he worked hard at distancing Ella from them right from the start.

Initially, I thought that he was trying to overcompensate for his lack of presence in Ella's life up to that point. Regardless, it didn't make me a fan of him. In fact, I pretty much detested Steve for the entirety of this book.

Eventually, we get the answers that have alluded us to this point. Be careful what you wish for though. The answers will turn Ella's, and the Royal's, worlds upside down yet again. This series certainly closes with a bang!

Like the earlier books in the series, I found myself completely obsessed with 'Twisted Palace'. From the time I started this series to the time I finished it, everything else in my life was put on hold. This story consumed me.

Even now that my questions have been answered and the trilogy has drawn to a close, I want more. I annotate get enough of these Royals! I am hopeful that the author will write more books featuring my favorite Royals. I'll definitely be one-clicking anything that even hints at an appearance from my favorite family of excess. I loved this series and will definitely read future works by this author.

Twisted Palace is a book I’ve been eagerly anticipating for months. Those of you who have read this series understand me! After the last book, I had my theories, I was a nervous wreck and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen to my beloved characters. I was more than ready to be ruined once again by these Royals…
This house is ridiculously large, ridiculously beautiful, but everyone inside of it is so messed up. Including me. I guess I really am a Royal.

Ella Harper has only been with the Royal’s for a short time, but she’s embraced them all so intensely. None more than Reed Royal. I love Reed and Ella’s relationship, but something earth shattering is threatening it. There is so much going on in Ella and Reed’s life. It seems like they can’t catch a break no matter what. It’s a lot for any relationship to handle, especially one with so many things fighting against them.

Reed Royal is one of my favorite of the Royal bunch. I loved him even more in this book. The sacrifices he was willing to make, the love he had for Ella and his family, he was pretty fantastic.
Reed’s not the destroyer. He’s never destroyed anything in his life; he’s always been the protector.

Ella’s always been a ‘runner’. It’s in her nature. But Reed is someone she won’t run away from again. It’s him and her. I love that she fought her instincts and stuck it out. I truly love this couple together.

Once again, the duo of Erin Watt shocked me. After Broken Prince, EVERYONE was guessing about what really went down… I thought my theories were so clever, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. I love being surprised in a book. So I wasn’t too upset with that. I do believe that this is the conclusion to Ella and Reed’s story, but there is SO MUCH more I need to know. About Gideon, Easton, the twins, even Callum! These Royals have captivated me and I can only hope we will be getting many more books to come! Easton has always been my favorite Royal, but I am so curious about whats going to happen with Gideon, I almost hope he’s next…

Twisted Palace is 100% addictive, just like the others in this series. These books are pure crack for a reader like me, and I can’t get enough. I love the tension, the guessing and all the drama that takes place. I can’t wait for more Royal’s and I think most lovers of this series will enjoy this conclusion.

"These Royals will ruin you."

I didn’t expect any of this and my brain is in overdrive now. This society, I’m having a difficult time forming coherent words, I mean what in hell, the things that go down in these books are crazy I’m going out of my mind here.
The things the protagonist has gone through in her 17 years of life are unbelievable and should never have happened, the things she’s had to do to survive in this harsh society are infuriating and see her put on a brave face in society makes me want to scream. And for someone to go through what she did but continue to survive and brave her way through her life is truly impressive. This girl is something fierce.

It was like I was on a sugar high that wouldn’t crash throughout these books, I start one and I can't stop till it's done. It’s so uniquely addicting I couldn’t stop, the characters were all so different from each other and AAH just everything was so mysteriously waiting to happen. I was infuriated yet so curious and interested throughout this book it’s crazy, I’m going to say crazy a lot. The social circles, the stereotypes, the politics, the money, the ego, hell everything is infuriating but watching how Ella makes her way through it is very interesting. And even more than that watching how and why this social structure came to be is amazing.

Ella is pulled out of her life in the poorest part of the country and is thrust into a life of money beyond her dreams, but the money comes along with trouble, trouble she might not be handle. Ella’s mother died a while ago and she never knew her dad but now a man shows up in the school she worked so hard to afford and tells her that her father was his multi millionaire best friend who also died recently and tells her that he is her guardian. And in order to perform his role as her guardian he takes her back to his house, which is practically a palace, and introduces her to his 5 sons who want absolutely nothing to do with her. Now after so much has happened she has truly become a part of this family and found her place in this society it’s mind blowing.

Watching her grow to be an integral part of this family that was never supposed to be hers is heart-warming. Just seeing how badly that family needed someone to pull them all together was heartbreaking. And then watching their friendship bloom and seeing them have fun just makes my day.

The best and most emotional part of the 3 books so far is the depth of emotion. The loyalty and love all the royals hide under each of their masks is mesmerizing. In the beginning they each seem so superficial, spoiled, and infuriating it didn’t anger me but it confused me because no person has their guard that far up without having gone through something very serious. Then after a few chapters there are small cracks in the mask popping up her and there which may be as small as a suppressed smile and then as we move through the story all those breaks add up to the amazing people lingering beneath.

Just reading about how funny, loving, caring these people can can be makes me so happy I can't describe it. Each of them will go to any extent to protect the people they care about and their undying loyalty to their family is beyond this world. Every moment of happiness is cherished and watching them open up to each other is one of the best experiences in reading this series.

This is a beautiful story about the most amazing people in the world and right now I'm grinning so hard my cheeks are hurting.

I know that the reviews for this series are very very mixed, and I probably just made it even more confusing but if you’ve made it this far might as well finish right, I know I am going to.

I'm going to miss these Royals.

Alright guys, I have a confession to make. *takes deep breath* Igotanarcandididntknowit. That's right, I got an ARC and I realised it two days after the release date. Why? Because I'm a freaking moron Because I forgot to check my Kindle. You are allowed to throw tomatoes my way.

Fine, that's enough.
That being said, this is probably the most belated ARC review ever written, but you can probably guess what I'm about to say; I devoured Twisted Palace. I did find some plotlines and scenes far-fetched, I did get angry at Ella a couple of times, but there's something about this series, something about these Royals, that forces me to step aside all reason and enjoy this addictive ride.
It's my drug.
“This house is ridiculously large, ridiculously beautiful, but everyone inside of it is so messed up. Including me. I guess I really am a Royal.”

A paper princess.
A broken prince.
A twisted palace, hiding dirty secrets and betrayals, hopes and dreams that were crushed, love that turned to ashes. Just when Ella finally feels like a Royal, it is taken away from her. Just when she lets someone in, he is ripped away from her. Against the forces that are trying to tear their family apart, against the gossip and the malice, the whispers and the contempt, the Royals must stick together and prove that breaking them is not an option.
“I'm a Royal, baby. I don't run. I fight.”

But not every fight can be won. You can bleed, bruise and weep, but it won't be enough. That's the reality this utterly dysfunctional family must accept. Erin Watt did a marvelous job describing this hopelessness, this agony that sipped into your pores and seized you like poison. A nightmare you couldn't escape. But the authors also painted vividly the love, the family bonds that seemed twisted and strained but had the potential to survive, with the proper motivation. And that's what I enjoyed the most in the final instalment of this trilogy, the way this bond was salvaged.

“In some small corner of my brain that is now in control, I feel like if I love him hard enough, long enough, I can keep him with me forever.”

Reed and Ella were finally a united front, and that put a big smile on my face, despite the hardships and the trials they endured. The tension, the scorching looks and touches and kisses were always there, but so was a love so palpable and heartwarming that made me fly. Reed could be so sweet, caring and thoughtful, but also dangerous and sexy, messed up in a way that didn't disgust you but intrigued you, you couldn't help but drool a little. Combined with the suspense element, and the perfect way everything came together in the end, all the questions answered and the truths revealed, the result was absolutely delectable!
The reason though I didn't give the fifth star was Ella's behaviour under certain circumstances. We've known her as a brave, at times provocative character, yet when was involved, she became so meek and spineless you could barely recognize her. And how could she say yes to what Jordan asked from her? I expected a different reaction, I expected her fire and spirit, but I didn't get it.
“You. Us. Forever.”

Erin Watt created a sick modern fairytale, with its moments of tenderness and devotion, that left its mark on me. And I loved it!

Alright... I got it, it is fiction, and I do not really know everything about US legal system but:

Most of the book (like 70% or even more) is just about nothing pretty much. It is just bunch of What Ifs and .

But the ending is certain redemption. I would like few chapters more, so that way we would get more answers:

I would love to read something about the twins in the future. And even Easton.

ARC given in exchange for an honest review.

Don't read if you haven't read the previous two books to avoid spoilers.

3.5/ 4 stars!

Is it selfish to say that I want more Royals? Because I do! Man, I can't believe it's over. They've gone such a long way! From hostility to love, all in the span of three beautiful books.

Broken Prince ends with two shocking incidents––. The fragile palace of the Royals continues to crumble and fall as Reed faces trial over the death of his father's fiancee, and Steve takes his rightful place as Ella's father.

The life of the rich isn't so glamorous as it looks. Murder, betrayal, deceit––all caused by hunger for power and money. The Royals know better than anyone how money and selfishness could cost their happiness and peace.

I love hate-to-love tropes sooo much, and these two definitely had an enemies-to-lovers relationship. I love how much Reed changed since meeting Ella, and I believe they became better people thanks to each other. They both needed love, and it was perfect that they got it for each other.

Some of the characters took a step back to focus more on Reed's case, Ella and Steve's reunion, and the mystery of Brooke's death. But the main stars were Ella and Reed and their unwavering love.

Still, the third book painted other characters in more vivid colors. Characters such as Jordan and even Dinah showed more complex facets, and we see a bit more of Val, Wade, and Easton. It made me crave to read about them!!! Seriously, guys, I can't wait for Easton's story! I hope they make one for Wade, the twins, and even Gideon.

Ella is and will always be my home girl. I've always rooted for her because she's such a strong, independent, but caring and loving person. She entered the world of the Royals as an outsider, but instead of letting it break her, she made their world adjust to her. She didn't bend and go with the flow; she stood her ground and fought the shark-infested waters of Astor Park with nothing but her courage. I'm so happy she came out brighter and more beautiful than ever, like a phoenix from the ashes.

And I live for the family dynamic of the Royals ever since Ella came in the picture. They became more like a family again, and they were happy and united. I loved how protective they were of Ella. The difference between when she first arrived and the present is so obvious and still so heartwarming! They wholeheartedly welcomed her into their pack, and excuse me I'm emotional right now I can't. Hahaha. Easton and the twins treated Ella like their sister, and Callum was such a loving father figure despite his faults and mistakes.

I do believe, however, that the ending felt a bit rushed. I had my guesses on who the killer was, and reading the book made me question my bets, but it kind of felt too convenient. For me, it would have been better if it had a few more pages in the book to ease in the conflict resolution in a less abrupt manner.

Since the focus was on Ella and Reed, some of the subplots were discarded. There were some things mentioned in the first two books that were all but forgotten in Twisted Palace. I wish they were resolved or addressed.

I'm still so sad that Reed and Ella's story is over. I know Erin Watt might work on Easton's story next, and I can't wait for that because Easton is my favorite Royal, but I'm going to miss having these two in the spotlight.

Over all, The Royals series is a juicy, scandalous, exciting, and unforgettable series; one I'll read over and over again. Yes, it has its cliche points, but it's what I loved about it the most! It also has such a strong female lead, amazing side characters, and a happily ever after it fully deserves.

Thank you, Jen Frederick and Elle Kennedy for teaming up and giving us the wonderful series that is The Royals. I hope you continue to work together as Erin Watt because I have fallen in love with her books, and I look forward to reading more!

UPD: October 21, 2016

Finally! More negative reviews arrived. It's so good to know there's more and more people who see this book for what it really is

Okay, here’s a thing: I didn’t plan on reading this book, like ever. I was a tiny bit curious about the mystery part, but it was almost an nonsexist interest. Why then did I read the book I hate in advance? Reviews. That was my reason. I wanted to go read spoiler review to find out what was all this fucking business about, but I found only one 1-star review on this book. ONE. No way. All GR is booked with 5-4 star reviews praising this book till the sky and beyond. Reviews filled with pictures of bare chested, abs filled pals and squeaking gals, excitement spilled like a used sperm (I never said I’d go light on fans, so go read something else if you a fan of this series. Shoo!). But for the love of all that chocolate, I can’t get the fever over this overly dumb book series. So here we go.

Warning! Major XXXL sized spoilers ahead! Don’t read it if you are planning on reading this series. You might not want to continue after my review. I can be very persuasive with words and images.

Also, Gelis, you wanted me to review this book, I hope you won’t regret your wish. The beast is unleashed…

Ladies and Gentlemen! May I introduce myself. My name is Grinch and we are gathered here tonight to watch a spectacle called Twisted Palace. Take your sits and help yourself to popcorn. Tomatoes are also available. Yes, here, in that bucket. Use it freely whenever Orphan stripper or Creepy dad or Douche boyfriend or Creepy step-mother -- oops, sorry, this one is dead already, so you’ll save a couple of tomatoes for someone else – Zombie Papa which rose from the dead in the end of book two if you remember -- appear on the stage.

*the lights dim* *creepy music begins* *the curtain opens*

Scene 1. Interrogation.

Detectives Cousins and Schmidt: Where were you between eight p.m. and eleven p.m. tonight? How long were you sleeping with your Creepy father’s Creepy step-mom? Why did you kill her, Douche boyfriend ? Did she make you mad? Threaten to out the affair to your Creepy dad?

Douche boyfriend: You can twist my nipples, you can grip my dick until it milks, but I won’t tell you the truth, because you are too dumb to understand my depth.

Grinch: Cousins? Schmidt? Really? No other name for a detective?

Detective Cousins: “Answer me, you little shit!”

Douche boyfriend: I am barely holding myself from beating the shit out of this lame detectives.

Grinch: Oh boy, you are a mighty King Kong, alas the caged one and handcuffed.

Detective Schmidt: “We can ask you questions, and you can answer them. There’s no law against that. You can also volunteer information. For instance, we can move this process along if you explain things like why you have blood on your shirt.”

Grinch: Um, nose bleeding?

Douche boyfriend: I’m not a saint and have never claimed to be one. I’ve gotten into my share of fights. I’m ruthless when I need to be….

Grinch: My pink shoes are trembling.

Douche boyfriend: But…I’m not this guy. The guy who gets dragged out of his own house in handcuffs. The guy who has to watch fear fill his Ex-Orphan stripper girlfriend’s eyes as he’s hauled into the back of a police cruiser.

Grinch: Cry baby, cry.

Detectives Cousins and Schmidt: Okay, that sucker won’t tell us anything. Let’s go get his lawyer.

Scene two. Nudists.

Ex-Orphan stripper: Couldn’t sleep all night. Did my Douche boyfriend killed his Creepy step mom?

Douche boyfriend’s womanizer brother: What the fuck is going on?

Grinch: Dude, you are naked!

Ex-Orphan stripper: Your brother was arrested for killing your Creepy step-mom *tells in detail all she knows*

Douche boyfriend’s - we share a girlfriend – brothers: So you’re saying your Douche boyfriend knocked up Creepy dad’s child bride and then offed her because he doesn’t want to have a little Douche boyfriend running around?”

Grinch: Dudes, you are naked!

Ex-Orphan stripper: Does no one in this family believe in pajamas?

Grinch: Guh, finally someone noticed three nude dudes in the room!

Scene three. Homecoming.

Zombie dad: Who are you?

Ex-Orphan stripper: Um…

Zombie dad: *waits for the answer*

*Douche boyfriend interrupt the scene with his grand homecoming. Ex-Orphan stripper flings herself at his abs.*

Ex-Orphan stripper: I know you might be a killer, but oh, how I’ve missed your magic fingers. It was so hard to sleep without them being pushed down my lady parts.

Douche boyfriend: I--

Creepy dad: What where you doing at your Creepy step-mom’s yesterday before she was killed?

Ex-Orphan stripper: I hope for the sake of his magic fingers he’s not the killer.

Douche boyfriend: I was creeping around, trying to talk to my Creepy step-mom after she called me, while everyone was away having a dinner.

Grinch: Oh, god, that's not suspicious at all!

Creepy dad: And where have you been all this time my creepy Zombie friend?

*Everyone’s attention abruptly turns to Zombie Dad*

Zombie Dad: Played Robinson Crusoe on some god forsaken island. And now that we’ve established that, will someone tell me who the fuck is this girl?! *points at Ex-Orphan stripper.

Ex-Orphan stripper: Don’t you recognize me Zombie daddy, I am your little girl.

Zombie Dad: My what?!

*A long process of explaining how one can make a baby and with which parts. After everything's settled Douche boyfriend drugs Ex-Orphan stripper up the stairs to make out.*

Grinch: Me Tarzan, You Jane alert!

Scene four. Slip her some tongue.

Ex-Orphan stripper: Mm, can’t think with your tongue down my mouth. But don’t stop, your tongue is so delicious I may come right this moment.

Grinch: Jeez, don’t bite it off from the excitement, girl or it’ll be awkward.

Douche boyfriend: I didn’t kill Creepy step-mom, do you believe me?

Ex-Orphan stripper: Oh yes, your tongue convinced me that you didn’t.

Grinch: You know what? I’ve changed my mind: bite it off!

*Distant screaming distracts our love birds from devouring each others tongues.*

Grinch: Thank God!

Ex-Orphan stripper: Who’s screaming?

Douche boyfriend: It’s Zombie dad’s wife.

Grinch: I bet she didn’t expect to find herself in one of the episodes of the Walking Dead!

Scene five. Back to school.

*Douche boyfriend and Ex-Orphan stripper are back to school. Everyone gives Douche boyfriend sideways glances. He’s a star now. He killed his Creepy step-mom, everyone wants to take his autograph.*

Scene six.

Boring shit here. Skipping…

Scene seven. Cookies.

A very strange talk about cookies occurs. Someone gave someone their cookies, but they took them, because other cookies were temporarily unavailable. And now these used cookies feel.. used?

Grinch: ……

*one minute later*

Grinch: I get it guys! Cookies as sex. Some one had sex with someone and then they went and had sex with someone else. The ones they had sex with first, now feels used. Phew, I wouldn't be able to look at cookies and not think about this book now *gags*

Scene eight. Creep.

A scene where Douche boyfriend says to Ex-Orphan stripper in a low gruff voice:

Douche boyfriend: I notice everything about you, baby.

Grinch: Geez, that is not creepy at all.

Scene nine. Sexist talk.

Ex-Orphan stripper: You should be a virgin.

Douche boyfriend: What?

Ex-Orphan stripper: Think about how many problems would be solved by that. You wouldn’t have this thing with Creepy step-mom. The girls at school wouldn’t be drooling all over you.

Douche boyfriend: If I was a virgin, all those girls at school would be trying to get in my pants so they could say they were the first to climb Mount Douche boyfriend.

Grinch: Am I the only one who wants to chop his dick off?

Ex-Orphan stripper: Girls aren’t like that, they wouldn’t compete to deflower you.

Douche boyfriend: Girls are exactly like that. Why do you think Queen bitch's after you all the time? You’re competition, babe. Doesn’t matter what you’ve got downstairs, most people are competitive as shit. And the kids at Astor? They’re the worst of the lot. If I was a virgin, that’d be one more contest for someone to win.

Grinch: Sexist much, huh?

Douche boyfriend: We can play I’m the virgin and you’re the experienced upperclassman after I pop your cherry.

Grinch: Now, where did I put those scissors?

Scene ten

Ex-Orphan stripper: I can’t stop doubting my Douche boyfriend. What if he killed his Creepy step-mom? And I don't have his magic fingers to convince me otherwise now.

*monologue goes for hours*

Grinch: Boring shit *yawn*

Scene eleven Sucking and Suckling.

*Douche Royals have dinner with Zombie dad, but everybody sulk, and the dinner goes really boring. After the dinner Ex-Orphan stripper and Douche boyfriend can’t stop groping each other, because it’s so stimulating to make out with both your dads in the house.*

Douche boyfriend: Yeah baby, suck my dick!

*sucking sound*

Ex-Orphan stripper: Yeah baby, suckle my pussy!

*suckling sound*

Grinch: *gagging sound*

*Zombie dad interrupts the scene by nocking on the door.*

Zombie dad: Ex-Orphan stripper, open the door! I know you are sucking Douche boyfriend's dick in there!

Ex-Orphan stripper: *opens the door* And what if I am? I am 17 y.o. I can suck whatever Royal douche's dick I want, maybe even Creepy dad's!

Zombie dad: Pack your things, you’ll go live with me and my Creepy wife.

Scene twelve.

*In which Creepy Zombie dad’s wife sneaks into Ex-Orphan stripper's room in the middle of the night and practically admits she tired to kill Zombie dad.*

Grinch: It’s sad you didn’t succeed Creepy wife.

Scene thirteen.

*In which Zombie Dad has a sex talk with Ex-Orphan stripper.*

Grinch: Jeez, why everyone in this book have a sex talk: brothers, friends, dads, lawyers – everyone obsessed with sex. And especially with Ex-Orphan stripper and Douche boyfriend’s sex life. What’s wrong with you people? Why no one discusses who killed Creepy step-mom?!

Scene fourteen. Fuck time.

In which Ex-Orphan stripper and Douche boyfriend after all this time sticking fingers into each other finally decide to fuck *epic music plays in the background*

Grinch: *turns off the music* Oh jeez, I hope it won’t come down to trembling mountains.

Ex-Orphan stripper: Look baby, I’ve bought a sexy Victoria Secret lingerie.

Douche boyfriend: Holy fuck, baby. In this pretty lingerie I’ll even let you twist my nipples and stick your fingers down my ass.

*nipples twisting and fingers sticking continues*

*some tongue gets involved in the process*

Ex-Orphan stripper: Yes, lick my skin off me with your tongue, baby.

*a process of breeching a very tight virginal vagina occures*

*hours later*

Douche boyfriend: Finally! I am a king of the mound!

Ex-Orphan stripper: Oooh, it feels as if there’s a giant sausage inside me.

Douche boyfriend: I am a King of the mound!

Grinch: *tries to escape the room, but it’s locked.*

Ex-Orphan stripper: I was a virgin five minutes ago, but now I feel like a professional prostitute. Let’s go for round two!

Douche boyfriend: You are so talented baby! My dick can’t get enough of you!

Grinch: *tires to knockout the door and get out of this fucking room*

Scene fifteen

*In which we find out that Creepy ex-mom was pregnant with Creepy dad’s child.*

Creepy dad: But… but I had a vasectomy.

Grinch: The fuck is going on?

Scene sixteen.

*In which Douche boyfriend is proposed to plea guilty and get 10 years of jail instead of 20.*

Douche boyfriend: Ex-Orphan stripper, I think I must take the deal.

Ex-Orphan stripper: I don’t want to talk about it, better fuck me long and deep.

*Douche boyfriend sticks his dick deep deep inside Ex-Orphan stripper*

Douche boyfriend: We can’t solve anything by having sex.

Ex-Orphan stripper: If you’re so eager to get locked up for twenty years, shouldn’t I be getting all my sex in now?

Grinch: Real smooth, girl.

Scene seventeen. Snowflake.

Creepy schoolmate: Ex-Orphan stripper, remember how I helped you to sneak up with your Douche boyfriend so you could bang him without your father knowing about it?

Ex-Orphan stripper: Um, yes?

Creepy schoolmate: I came to collect a favor. I want to go to the school ball with your Douche boyfriend.

Ex-Orphan stripper: No way! Why?

Creepy schoolmate: Because he has excellent abs, and he’d killed his Creepy step-mom and is popular now, he’ll help me win “Snowflake Queen” reward at the ball.

Grinch: Snowflake Queen?

Creepy schoolmate: What?! I want to be a special Snowflake Queen. You have problems with that?

Grinch: *turns on special snowflake alert and flees the room*

Scene eighteen

*In which boring preparations for the ball and prison occur between Ex-Orphan stripper and Douche boyfriend’s bang sessions. Still no one tries to solve Creepy step-mom’s murder.*

Skipping… And then skipping some more boring shit.

Scene nineteen. Revelations.

*In which we find out that Zombie dad banged Creepy dad’s wife when she was alive, and that’s why she killed herself. Not because she hated her husband and kids, but because she felt guilty.*

Grinch: Gosh, did anyone in that family didn’t fuck someone they weren’t suppose to? This fucking Santa Barbara is getting on my nerv—

Ex-Orphan stripper: Shut up, Grinch, we are having an emotional moment here. So, Zombie Dad, you banged my mom, but you loved your best friend’s wife and banged her too? Or, and also your Creepy wife, you banged them all, didn’t you?

Zombie dad: Well, my dear Ex-Orphan stripper, when you are putting it like that… I guess I am a huge dick of a person. I wonder why never – not once – anyone thought I might be the killer of the Creepy step-mom? She might’ve blackmailed me as she did before with your Douche boyfriend, and what an honest man like me would had left to do with that?

Grinch: What indeed…

Ex-Orphan stripper: OMG! You killed Creepy step-mom!

Grinch: Finally! Your IQ is not zero after all, it’s 1 point!

Zombie dad: I grabbed her by the hair and slammed her forehead against the mantle.

Grinch: *creeps slowly toward the door*

Zombie dad: I thought it was my wife. They all look the same from behind. I thought she was again cheating on me—

Grinch: Oh saint man, she was cheating on you? How could she! You never cheated on her in you life, never. You didn’t deserve such nasty cheating wife.

*Zombie dad turns his blood-shot eyes on Grinch*

Grinch: Oops *continues to creep toward the door quicker*

Ex-Orphan stripper: You need to confess. I don’t want my magic dick of a Douche boyfriend go to jail.

Zombie dad: Hm, maybe we can pin this all on my Creepy wife?

Creepy wife: You killed my best friend of a Creepy step-mom? *points a gun at Zombie dad*

Grinch: *almost at the door*

*floorboard squeals* *all attention turns to Grinch*

Everyone: What the fuck are you doing?

Grinch: I am just walking, breathing, don’t mind me.

*Zombie dad lunges toward the gun* *Creepy wife shoots him*

Zombie dad: I can’t believe you shot me, bitch.

*curtain closes* *Grinch finally makes it out the door*

Epilogue.

Zombie dad goes to jail. Ex-Orphan stripper gets to attend dance school where she’ll learn to be a professional stripper properly. Douche boyfriend gets to attend boxing lessons, where he’ll add more abs to his collection. They both get to stick fingers into each other freely now. Douche boyfriend's womanizer brother found a girl, and apparently doesn’t want to stick his dick in other girls. The following books are probably going to be from his POV an—

Grinch: Who cares! Am I the only one who’s interested in how Creepy dad managed to knock out Creepy step-mom, if he was sterilized? No one? Ah, shit, this book was a waste of my time and boring as fuck. Go on, continue sticking your fucking fingers down your fucking asses. I am out!

*slams the door*

End of spectacle.

thank goodness my life is relatively free of any drama because this book had enough to last me a couple of years. which means i am most likely going to take a break from this series. i feel like i am just too exhausted with all these teenage shenanigans, and this was a decent enough conclusion to everything that has been happening in the last three books, so i feel okay hitting pause. thanks royal boys - its been fun!

My least favorite book in the series. I mean, I did enjoy it (the last 15% was the best), but the first half was a bit boring. Also, there were too many loopholes in the story and too many eye-roll moments. I didn’t love the heroine and the ending was a bit unbelievable and rushed.

Usually when I want a book really bad and have to wait for it, I end up disappointed. So maybe it's me. It's probably me.

DNF @ 6%

Twisted Palace is a book I don't hate myself enough to finish. I clearly hated myself enough to read both Paper Princess and Broken Prince. The funniest thing is, I don't seem to have unpopular opinions a lot when it comes to books but when I see people liking this series I want to kill someone.

description

Now, here's the thing, I did only read 6% of the book. Which may not seem like a lot to you but it took me around two hours to read. Due to this, I can't talk a lot about the plot, so instead I will take my classic form of "what the fuck" review and use quotes that had me wanting to kill not only myself but everyone else in my house.

As a disclaimer, I hate everyone in this book. Not a single person is redeemable. I don't get the point of such sexist, male dominance, and weak female characters which feature in this series. In fact, it seems like these authors have tried to write a book based on an algorithm and failed horrifically, insulting everyone in the process.

This will also contain spoilers for books one and two but I don't care.

“Detectives Cousins and Schmidt don’t seem to care about my last name. For some reason, I find that kind of refreshing. I’ve gotten a free pass my entire life because I’m a Royal.”

description

Ever heard the phrase hate at first sentence? I think I just made it up, so probably not. I knew almost instantly I was going to DNF this book. I forgot how absolutely obnoxious the Royal boys are. Trust me, it's not cute when a boy is that obnoxious and sure of himself because of his last name. After this Reed goes on to list all the things he's been allowed to get away with. An undisciplined rich boy? How not hot.

“Not that I want girls lining up for me. There’s only one girl I care about these days—Ella Harper.”

description

I mean, hey, not like you slept with your dad's girlfriend and she could be pregnant with your child.

“I hate that I revealed even a trace of helplessness in front of this man. I don’t show weakness. Ever. The only person I’ve ever been able to lower my guard around is Ella.”

description

Sorry, had to kickstart my heart after reading that because I died from how disgusting that is. The helplessness he showed? Not wanting to go to jail. Oh no, fear. Shame. How could you live from asking for *gasp* help? I fucking hate Reed.

“I release a slow breath. “Yeah. I was at the penthouse earlier. But I didn’t fucking kill her.”

description

When you're portraying a "closed off badass" in such an incorrect way that the word fuck is the only semblance of his uncaring nature you have a problem. Literally. Let the kid go to jail, maybe he'll realise that his last name doesn't matter when he drops the soap in the shower.

“Because the sky is falling!”
He blinks groggily. “Huh?”
“Shit’s bad!” I yell, then force myself to take a deep breath, trying to calm down. It doesn’t work. “Just meet me in Reed’s room, okay?” I snap.”

description

Now, POV change. Ella, the most pathetic female lead I have ever had the disappointment of reading. That's right disappointment. The former stripper virgin turned rich girl who's dad is like actually alive? Honestly, don't get it. Don't care. Though, I will mark this spoiler,

“I didn’t hear a goddamn thing. I…ah…” Shame flickers in his blue eyes. “I kinda pounded a mickey of vodka when I was at Wade’s tonight.”

description

Brilliant, I say to myself while trying not to grit my teeth too hard due to not wanting my dentist to hate me. Do it for your dentist, I think to myself, ignore the idiocy. Unfortunately, I can't. Sure, kids are reckless and I know plenty of people of dumb people but not this dumb. I also had to google what a mickey of vodka was and what I got was this:

A 375 ml bottle of liquor. In the United States, the term “mickey” is slang term for a date rape drug, and 69% of Americans were unaware of its more benign Canadian usage. Mickey is actually one of a series of uniquely Canadian booze measurements revealed by the survey.

So, did he pop a date rape drug and then drink vodka? Or if not why is he usually a Canadian booze measurement?

“You haven’t told me why you’re packing,” Easton says in frustration.
“In case we need to run.”
“Us?”
“Me and Reed.” I bolt to my feet and race over to Reed’s dresser to raid his sock drawer. “I want to be prepared just in case, okay?”

description

Nope, sorry, can't act like I care. Because honestly how much of an idiot is Ella? Let me run away with the guy who maybe killed someone who I've known for about five months max but I am in so much love with despite the fact he made the whole school hate me and bullied me. Wow, girl get your fucking morals in check you're a mess.

“Are you serious?” Sawyer demands.
“The cops just took him away,” I whisper.”

description

Ms. I'm Going To Whisper Despite Reminding Us Eight Times What A Big House I Live In. You think I'm kidding? I'm not. Before this interaction happen she has reminded us as the readers what a big house she lives in and how much money the Royal's have, because it is so important we don't forget this or else there will be no plot.

“Easton rubs his chin. “Mom always wanted a girl. She talked about it a lot, said a girl would’ve softened us up.” His lips twitch. “But I don’t think girls make me soft in any way.”

description

INCEST JOKES?! CUTE. I literally puked in my mouth while reading this. This is not cute. This is not funny. This is one of the most disgusting things I have read and could probably be placed straight into Fifty Shade of Grey and no one would blink an eye. This book is filth.

“You’re not running, little sis. You have to know it’s a stupid idea.”
I stare at our entwined fingers. “I’m a runner, East.”
“No. You’re a fighter.”

description

A SISTER YOU MADE OUT WITH (I'm pretty sure). I can't. This made me literally puke. I had to stop reading. I have never been so disturbed. Ella isn't a fighter. Ella isn't a badass. Ella is one of the stupidest and most naive characters I have had the displeasure of encountering. So, guess what? I made it stop after reading this. I couldn't. In a way, they are step sibling and guess what kids? Making out with your step sibling is still incest.

I honestly can't with this book. It is bigger pile of trash in the first 6% than both books combined. It was the most disturbing and degrading YA book I have read. I couldn't put myself through the pain that this book would cause because no one should hate themselves this much.

description

Problem here, everyone likes this series. I don't get it. How can you stomach it? How is this hot for you? How is this appealing? How are any of these characters anything but assholes and idiots to you? I mean, congrats if you like it but I can not and will not put myself through this degrading book. Every character is trash, every scene is trash. If I could, I would purge this book from the world.

"... All these things are part of what twisted us up inside, but somehow those tangled strands fused until we were whole again."

4.5 Stars!

(I buddyread this book with my fabulous sis Bea. Click her name to read her fantastic review.)

Talk about one of the most overwhelming twists of the year. Twisted Palace practically made me sit on the edge of my seat. And I never got to sit back.

I admit I didn't quite trust this book to stun me the way the previous books of the series did to me. Seeing mixed reviews did that. But after finishing it, I could say Elle Kennedy and Jen Frederick did not fail. The conclusion of this series is truly amazeballs!

After a set of cliffhangers in Paper Princess and Broken Prince, we finally get to have a satisfying ending. And we get to have the ultimate answer to the million dollar question: Who killed this character???

Twisted Place may have a slow-building plot but it surely brought me on a roller coaster ride because of its good amount of mystery. As I was reading it, I found myself collecting clues and piecing together some explanations but no sooner than I have formed an answer in my mind was it immediately taken away in the most insane twist. THAT TWIST, everyone, was the twist that I was looking for... and was thankfully given. I swear that revelation was something that I did not see coming.

description

There are things that stood out in this book including Reed and Ella's romantic and character development. The spark that these characters ignited was so bright, almost blinding. And I loved it. They have been through the rough patches and the bumps in the road but still, they both ended up so strong and solid together. I really bought the affection they felt for each other.

I loved that Ella remained tough in her decisions and was basically there for Reed in times of difficulties. Her undying presence and love for the Royal boy and the whole Royal household really worked out so well. And Reed... OMG. This guy. He was nicely fleshed-out. It's such a wonder seeing him grow from a mean character to a kind and dependable one. In this book we finally see a different Reed, one who can definitely control his anger issues.

Let's face it. Series-enders with a combination of fluffy and dark themes like The Royals is a risk, and a lot of series have failed when it comes to satisfying the readers with a great conclusion, but I am happy to say that the authors in this series were able to give it to us. At no point did the overall intensity of the book feel forced.

There may be some unnecessary dramas here and there (which kind of pissed me off at first) but soon I realized that they are necessary spices. They were actually the things that brought steam in this finale. And even though I was expecting more action, I still found myself getting thrilled and nervous because I knew that anytime a bomb will drop.

All in all, I was satisfied with the series' ending and right now I'm having this separation anxiety because well... the series already ended. It's sad to say goodbye to Ella Harper and the Royal Boys and everyone that complete this series. Twisted Palace was brought out in an epic way and the series, as a whole, was one of the best series I've ever had the privilege of reading. I will definitely recommend it to the fans of this genre. :)

The royals are like the apple in the fairy tale. Golden on the outside, but rotten to the core.

Well...damn. Color me conflicted. I struggled with my rating for two days after finishing it. Because see, the thing is, I'm freaking conflicted! Am I even making sense here? Of course I'm not! Because I'm conflicted I tells ya! Bah. Just bah.

To say that I've been anticipating this book as much as a virgin's first orgasm would be an understatement. What? Is that not a saying? Well it should be. You get what I'm saying here, right? I. Needed. It. Erin Watt has been teasing us mercilessly for months. Ever since I finished Paper Princess, I've been practically foaming at the mouth for this conclusion. That book was my catnip. Teenage angst and drama mixed with enough sexual tension to make even a nun frustrated. What? Is that not a saying either?
In some small corner of my brain that is now in control, I feel like if I love him hard enough, long enough, I can keep him with me forever.

Basically, I've been building up the conclusion in my head for months. But in order to do the book and myself justice, I went in with zero expectations. Like none. Will I love it? I don't know. Will I hate it? I don't know. I left it all to the fates and jumped right in...
Loving Ella is one of the best things I've done in my short life.

So how do you make all of the teenage drama even more extreme? Throw in a murder mystery into the mix. It was basically like Gossip Girl meets Cruel Intentions meets Pretty Little Liars. Craziness ensues. But if you've read the previous books, this is nothing new.

I highly enjoyed the first 80% of the story. I loved Reed, I loved Easton, I wanted to throttle Dinah and punch Jordan in both ovaries. Nothing new. I was still just as invested in Reed and Ella finally doing it...I mean...their relationship. What? You get teased for two books and tell me your ovaries don't turn blue. Quit judging.
Reed's not the destroyer. He's never destroyed anything in his life; he's always been the protector, even at this moment when he battles his own lust for control.

Quit the battle and just give in, Reed! Be like Nike and JUST DO IT!

But I digress. This book was a solid 4 stars for me. Even with all the murder mystery and additional drama added to the mix, it was still a page turner. And then that ending happened...

Of all the crazy drama twists that can happen, I think that ending put most soap operas to shame.

It was so over the top, it was so crazy, that it totally killed everything for me. Le sigh. Don't get me wrong, it certainly didn't discount the fact that I enjoyed the majority of this book, because I totally did, but c'mon! Perhaps the argument can be that with the way the series progressed it's only fair to make it finish out with this crazy bang, but I'm not of that mind. It was simply too OTT for my tastes.

Do I still consider this series to be one of my favorites? Absolutely! Do I wish it ended a little different? Sure. But that's not to say I didn't enjoy this crazy ride. Paper Princess is still one of my top reads of the year. Am I let down with the conclusion? Not really. Aside from the crazy drama of that ending, I still read it in one sitting. Am I still foaming at the mouth for more Royal brothers? ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY!!
Ella Harper is all I'm ever going to see, because she's my future. She's my steel and my fire and my salvation. She's my everything.

Finally, we get to all the answers in Twisted Palace, the 3rd book in Erin Watt's The Royals Trilogy.
After not one but two cliff-hangers that ended in Broken Prince, I wondered how much more drama and more twists and secrets and revelations would there be!!!

This book was my least favourite of the three novels. In fact, I totally did not like Twisted Palace. Even the characters I liked before, I started to feel so disappointed in them.

Let me jot down a couple of things that made me so not love the Royals and their stories:
 photo WpWZ6_zpsqw3nhibf.gif
The drama just continues and continues...........everything just felt forced and totally not believable!!!
Reed Royal...........
 photo f679053c8558fdd74f92f9889c283354_zpsoafkzhqv.jpg
He just drove me crazy with all his yes, no, maybe I should.........make up your mind!!!
And Ella.......
 photo erin20watt20edit20220paa1_zpsoyhv4xzx.jpg
what the hell happened to the sassy, take no shit girl............why she took her now alive and appearing father's crap was beyond me!!!!

The teenagers portrayed in this series are beyond awful and horrid. Spoilt, rich, entitled, cruel, envious, egotistical, empty.............
 photo 200_s_zpsxnxwpg28.gif
In fact, there were more characters I disliked in this series than I liked.......

The ending, where the baddie/s are revealed was just too unbelievable for words.........

By the last page, my feelings about the Royals and their world, were something like this...
 photo I_dont_give_a_damn_zpschtcmx0q.gif

Now, I haven't given up totally on this series!!! I liked the first two books and I would be interested in reading some of the other Royal brothers stories!!!! Yeah, sucker for punishment!!!

Farewell boys, I'm gonna miss each one of you... Oh by the way, maybe I'm gonna miss Ella too,but maybe a little bit... :)

Ps. The Royals Series completed now but we will carry on with Easton's book... OMG this will be amazing. I'm so excited to read his story. <3

WARNING! IF YOU HAVENT READ PAPER PRINCESS OR BROKEN PRINCE THERE WILL BE SPOILERS! If you HAVE read those two books, you should be free from spoilers.

Well, this has been an incredible and wild ride and I am so happy to have been a part of it! Every book has been full of twists and turns and Twisted Palace follows in that tradition.

As we discovered at the end of Broken Prince, Brooke has been murdered and Reed is the prime suspect. On top of that, Ella’s father Steve has come back from the dead and shown up on her doorstep. It’s now up to the Royal’s to figure out a way to clear Reed’s name while at the same time managing the gossip around town about them. Along the way they find some unexpected road blocks, and Ella and Reed seek help in unexpected places.

That’s really all I can say without spoilers. I do think fans of the series will devour this book and many will be happy with the series end. I liked that we still had unexpected twists and shocks throughout this final book, the last twenty percent was very thrilling and we receive lots of answers. Ella and Reed together were fantastic, very strong and resilient. They have such faith in each other and their journey from when they met to where they ended up is one full of growth and love.

I enjoyed this book, but it for me it lacked that “OMG” factor the first two inspired in me. It felt as if there was no clear path for a lot of the book, and then everything resolved quickly at the end. There were many points where I was very frustrated with the story. But despite that as I said I enjoyed the end and look forward to more from these two authors, I am beyond excited for a possible book about Easton. (And praying for a book about Wade). (And a book about the twins). YES I KNOW I AM GREEDY! BUT I WANT MORE ROYALS!

This series has come to an end and what a ride has been..
I loved the Royals and their adventures, but I have to get it out of my system before I literally explde.

My reactions and ideas are split in 2 main categories, that are easily to distinct:

The love story
Reed and Ella felt real to me. They are two teenagers that found themselves wanting something forbidden and now in this book, they get to really explore their feelings. I enjoyed how they managed to tare down the walls and admit their love to one another, even when a lot of things were against them.

It might sound a cliche, but Ella changed him with her love and personality. She was one of he most sincere heroine ever, because at her age she was straight forward and honest to everyone, especially to Reed. They were so alike that it scared me, and she was right, they complement each other so good, that their love story can't be anything than honest. I enjoyed her determination into making Reed realize what he really wants and accepting it, shouting it out loud. She was the person that pushed him in being a better person and she has all my admiration for it.

I loved the was they were together, the way they were willing to fight for their relationship and the way they were miserable because they loved each other so much and couldn't be together as they deserve.

"Ella makes me whole. I make her whole. She's my steel and my fire and my salvation. She's everything. "

Reed's evolution book 1 VS. present
Reeds' evolution was remarkable. From the broken boy he was in the first book, you really get to see a different person now. More aware of his mistakes and focused on changing something in his life.
He was more mature in this book, more self aware of the damage his action can inflict on other people, and we could discover a Reed that was not afraid of sacrificing himself for what he though was right. This maturity indeed came because he was part of certain events, but I enjoyed seeing the real person behind Reed's facade. I didn't believe for a moment his bully and miserable personality from the first book.

The Royal Family
I saw a huge difference in the way the Royal's treated each other and Ella, compared to their behavior in the first 2 books. Now they are literally a family and I enjoyed their dynamic, their arguments and loyalty moments. What a change it is, if you consider the way they treated Ella at the beginning. The way they made Ella one of their own made me loved them even more, especially Easton, and I can't wait to read his book, he won my heart.

Book dynamic plot
The dynamic of the book was not for me.. It was hitting you at the beginning, extremely slow in the middle and at the last 10% all things just come like a tornado at you, spinning you around and mixing your feelings. And after his shock, all it's well in the last 1%. Nooo!! That is not how you handle all the information and discovery you had to face. You have to see how you characters cope with it, how they adjust to the info. I didn't enjoy this fast forward kind of story telling, I preferred it being more balanced in action and information.

Annoying characters
Steve!! Steve as I said in the update feed, was the most annoying dad in history of dads and I can go on forever about the type of man he is.. But after reading the last part of the book, I will no longer waste my energy of elaborating this subject.

It's going to be such a romantic and complete scene.. not...
The first time Reed and Ella are together was not as I expected. I mean, I don't want candles and roses, but it was predictable and flat. They had scenes in where they fooled around and it was hotter and more romantic than the actual IT scene..

So, to complete my review, I loved this series for the wonderful and addictive experience that it had offered me. They will always have a special place in my heart and I don't regret choosing them. If I made some comments about this book, is doesn't mean I didn't enjoyed it, but this little dislikes made this book lose 1 star..

4 royal stars for this one. I will miss the Royals terribly.

Review @ Vanilla & Spice Books

Like everyone else I have been waiting for the final installment of this series for months now and I've been chewing my nails since I finished Broken Prince. We all have our own theories how this is going to pan out. Now, major spoiler warning: If you haven't read Paper Princess and Broken Prince yet please do not continue. While I try to keep this review as spoiler-free as possible it is impossible not to refer to the previous books. Also, this series has to be read in order.

Ella is a fixture of the Royals, a family member who has finally been accepted, embraced and now deeply loved. She still is a spitfire with a backbone made of steel. Her love for Reed, her former nemesis in the Royals household is blooming, if it wasn't for the new troubles that are looming (hey that rhymes).
Reed is a physical guy, he does everything with his body. Unfortunately this time it comes back to him to bite him in the a$$. I love how Ella brings out the softness in him. He has matured over the course of the story and I really could see some major growth. He loves Ella fiercely and it was lovely to see how sweet he could be with her. Their feelings for each other were unquestionably the most touching part in this book.

Easton is still a punk but you can see his vulnerable heart. He also has grown with Ella in his life.
I have to say, I love Callum. He might not be a great parent but his heart is in the right place. I didn't get enough of him this time around, some events are overshadowing his part in the story. Especially in the end I was expecting a bit of a bonding moment between him and Ella.
I have one complaint about a certain person who is a major jerk and so self absorbed that he almost seems naive. Now Val, Ella's best friend, is a person we all need in our life. She was awesome and I wish she would get her own story.

If you expect major twists you are right to do so. This writer duo is known for turning everything around in the blink of an eye. If you are like me though you will see it coming. I figured it out pretty early in the story, however, that didn't take away from my enjoyment of this book. Some loose ends were not tied up as neatly as I hoped but since Easton will get his own story we might get that there. The resolution came late in the story so the ending felt a little bit rushed for my taste. I also would have loved to see a bit more of the family dynamics of the Royals. We had a lot of that in the last two installments.

Overall this was an enjoyable conclusion to Ella's and Reed's story and I can't wait to see what Elle Kennedy and Jen Frederick have in store for Easton!

Title: Twisted Palace
Series: The Royals #3
Author: Erin Watt
Release date: October 17, 2016
Cliffhanger: No
HEA

Ella and Reed's story has been such an unpredictable and thrilling ride. After the stunning ending to Broken Prince, I was desperately waiting to get my hands on this book to finally get some answers and some closure. This is the kind of series that will knock you right on your ass the minute you think you have the direction of the plot pegged. You sit and analyze everything you read and come up with so many theories, that you end up right where you started and begin again. Twisted Palace didn't have that same shock factor that I've come to expect, but I enjoyed myself all the same.

Reed and Ella have struggled to accept, love, and forgive and are finally at a place when they are confident in each other. They've never had it easy, despite their lavish and luxurious home, but they know they can face anything as long as they stand strong together.

This house is ridiculously large, ridiculously beautiful, but everyone inside of it is so messed up. Including me. I guess I really am a Royal.

Just when Ella has found comfort and a place of belonging in the Royals household, everything is threatened once again. On top of that, Reed is preparing for the fight of his life, and their desperation grows by the minute. Now when they need each other more than ever, they're finding it difficult to look into the future without fear. Their hope is dwindling fast, and the family may very well be torn apart.

We’re just a tangle of wild, hopeless emotions trying to find peace with our bodies. No matter how hard we try to forget, we can’t.

I'm not going to expand on what happens much more. This is the type of book that you really can't go into detail about the plot. I will say that there were several things that didn't get enough attention in my mind. For anyone who has read the book, see the spoiler.

There was certainly somewhat of an unfinished feeling to things, but there is talk of Easton getting two books of his own, so hopefully we will get more insight about things left unsaid in the future.

While this one was missing some of that "wow factor" that the other two had in spades, Reed and Ella have come a long way from the bitter rivals they were in the early days. They've both grown and matured so much, and it was especially evident in Reed. His anger, and sense of entitlement has fallen away and you really see him make some tough choices that I couldn't imagine him making in the past. I loved seeing that. And Ella was just as strong as ever, if not stronger. She had a tendency to run when in a tough situation, but when tempted to do so again, she stayed and faced her fears.

Erin Watt knows how to write characters that draw you in and won't let you go. As many more books as they plan to write, that's how many I'll be reading. It's just that simple.

Ella Harper is all I’m ever going to see, because she’s my future. She’s my steel and my fire and my salvation. She’s everything.

IT'S LIVE!!!

Wow. Just wow. That is the only thing that came to my mind when I finished this book. The journey these authors took us on to get to the ending was mind-blowing and worth every second of my time. It's not the Royals that will ruin you, it's the authors that created them! If you haven't started this series yet then you are insane and missing out on something spectacular.

From the very first book I have been fully invested in Ella's life and then the life of the Royals. Their world is crazy and just when I thought it couldn't get any crazier, it did! You may think that the story won't go as deep as it does, and I think many people will be shocked and pleasantly surprised when they realize just how insane it gets. It takes a good author to write a story that will go as far as this one, so I guess it's a good thing that we have not one, but two, authors willing to go to those places that not many authors go. By insane I don't mean dark and gritty, I mean this story reached way beyond the normal YA limits and because of that it was shocking.

I can't even describe to you the raw emotions that I felt while enjoying this series, so really all I can say is to read it! Jump on the fangirl bandwagon and give these Royals a try because they are something special. I honestly have so much to say about this book, but I can't say any of it without ruining the plot. But what I can say is that this series will suck you in and make you fall in love with people you never thought you would even remotely like. I think one of the most shocking things about this series was my own emotions. Through three books I changed who I liked, who I suspected of things, and who I wanted all to myself. It's a true roller coaster ride, and one I want to experience all over again.

Bottom line, I will recommend this book to every single person I know. When I first started with the Royals I honestly didn't think I would like them. But after three books I don't even want to be done with them! I need more Royals ASAP.

Again, not sure if 2.5 or 3 stars.

These books (meaning the whole trilogy) were ridiculous, the thing is, it doesn't bother me anymore, now it makes me laugh! I had such a good time reading this final installment! I mean, I was still rolling my eyes the whole time, but now I was also laughing (at the ridiculousness of everything), but I had fun! I sure don't know how I feel about this trilogy, but I know I didn't hate the books. I didn't love them either.

“These Royals will ruin you…”

description

“Twisted Palace” is the highly anticipated conclusion to Erin Watts’ “The Royals” series. After Broken Prince finished with such a massive cliffy, I couldn’t wait to get my hand on this one to find out how this addictive series was going to conclude. I was eagerly awaiting to be ruined by these Royals once again.

Ella has only been living with the Royals for a short time, but she has really become part of the family and loves them all fiercely. Ella has had a really brutal up bringing prior to moving in with the Royals. Her natural instinct is to flee when things get tough as she is accustomed to living and surviving on her own. She has to decide yet again whether to run as she has always done, or stay and fight and protect the only family she has ever really known (since the death of her Mother) and loved.

What can I say about Reed? Wow! He is by far my favourite character in the whole series. He has really struggled since the death of his mother and is unsure of how to deal with his feelings; so much so, that he usually ends up solving conflicts with his fists. In “Twisted Palace” he gets himself in a whole heap of trouble and needs to figure out how to get himself out of the mess he’s in. This is further complicated as he also needs to protect Ella and his family.

The love that Ella and Reed had for each other was powerful and intense; they had to fight to help protect each other and their family. “Twisted Palace” is the instalment where everything comes to a head. It makes everyone take a good hard look at themselves and their actions in the past and how they have contributed to all the events that follow.

description

I found Twisted Palace not to be as fast paced and action packed as the first two books in the series, but the story-line and the characters still had me hooked. I have to stay this is one of the most addictive series I have read this year. If you haven’t read them yet or if you were waiting until all books have been released, then you definitely need to drop everything and binge read all three books.

At the conclusion of the story, I found myself wanting more as there were still unanswered questions for me; so I’m wondering if there may be more Royal books in the future, perhaps involving Gideon, Easton, the twins or Callum. Having said that, Erin Watt concluded Reed and Ella’s story perfectly and I couldn’t ask for a better finish. I would most definitely recommend this book and this whole series on their love story alone. Anyone who loves well written stories with intriguing, suspenseful story lines and with great characters you can’t help but fall in love with will thoroughly enjoy this series. Hats off to both Elle Kennedy and Jen Frederick (Erin Watt), for creating and writing such an addictive and thrilling series and here’s hoping for more Royals in our future.

The Royals series comes with a WARNING: "These Royals will ruin you..." and it’s especially true if you read the books as they were released. Because you had to wait a couple months for the next book to come out and the anticipation was high. The cliffhangers from the 1st two books made this series one of the most anticipated series of 2016. I personally loved the cliffhangers because it reminded me of the thrill I had as a kid waiting for my birthday to arrive. I loved the buildup of excitement as I counted down the days until I could get my hands on the next book.

To me, this series is like a telenovela/soap opera. Soaps “resemble” real life but on steroids. I use the word resemble very loosely because I don’t know anyone who has a life like someone on a soap opera but there’s stuff written about people like the Kardashians who do lead a far more interesting lifestyle than me. Soap operas are usually about the rich and beautiful people who have over the top drama that pulls the viewer in. Like I mentioned in my Broken Prince review … I blame my mom for why I love these angsty books - because I was deprived of television as a child. *lol*

TWISTED PALACE is the final installment in Ella & Reed’s story. Out of respect to everyone who has been waiting for this book to release I’m not going to say anything about the plot of this book. I will say that I LOVED IT!! Erin Watt created one of my favorite series this year. My fingers are crossed that this dynamic author duo will continue to give their fans more books to read.

TWISTED PALACE: These Royals will ruin you!! This is the highly anticipated final of the Royals trilogy. Spoken in 'Dual perspectives' Reed & Ella..This also ends right where BOOK#2 ended, Reed in custody being questioned for Brooke Davidson's death, Reed's father’s platinum-blonde, gold-digging girlfriend.

“Where were you between eight p.m. and eleven p.m. tonight?”
“How long were you sleeping with your father’s girlfriend?”
“Why did you kill her, Reed?
"Did she make you mad?"
"Threaten to out the affair to your dad?”

Reed is a Royal through and through and like any Royal he's constantly in trouble, from fist fights to illegal fighting he's always gotten a free pass because of who is is but with the suspicion of murder even his father can't get him out of this bind.

Torn stitches, blood, the fact that he confronted Brooke in the penthouse without telling anyone makes him look guilty.

If Reed pleads guilty for involuntary manslaughter the sentence he'd serve would be nearly twenty years, give or take ten years and he could be looking at only serving five is he keeps his nose clean.

Will Ella wait for him?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic I was proud of being an unfeeling asshole. Is this karma? Is me going to prison for five years punishment for the guys I've beaten, the girls I've hurt?

Is this the end of Reed and Ella??

All secrets will be uncovered at last. Steve O’Halloran Ella's father, risen from the dead.

Where has he been? Why show up now?

Wow where to even start writing up this review, twists and turns which I kind of knew were coming but didn't wreck my reading experience, it just had me racing through the pages to see if I was right and wondering if Reed was in fact going to be serving time in prison for the murder of the wicked witch of the west. There's still a few loose ends that weren't tidied up but I pray that this duo bring us something in the future to put an end to all my questions.

If you haven't read this series god what rock have you been hiding under? This is the best series since sliced bread, in all fairness the first book was my absolute favourite.

***4,25 "Desperate & Angry" stars***

In the first book of the Royals series, there was a quote who was saying....

"These Royals will ruin you!!!"

...And if anybody who had read this series claims that hasn't been ruined by this bunch of guys will be a liar!!!

God, this was one of the most addictive stories that i have ever read!!! And now, it's over!!!
I'm so happy that i finally had the conclusion of this story but i will miss those Royals!!!! Ella included since she is a Royal in heart!!!

“This house is ridiculously large, ridiculously beautiful, but everyone inside of it is so messed up. Including me. I guess I really am a Royal.”

In the last installment of the Royals, everything had turned upside down!!!!
Reed is in a very ugly position and his life is about to get ruined and some unexpected guy made a sudden appearance and he is making Ella's and Reed life even more difficult than before....

That's why i was feeling mostly desperate and angry in this book!!!
Because as the pages were passing by, the helpless feeling was getting more intense and at the same time, that mysterious guy got so much in my nerves that i wanted to kick his ass!!!

“I can’t lose you,” I whisper.
“You won’t.”

After all the shits that Ella and Reed had to get through, they finally were together , happy and more in love than ever!!!!

But Reed's past was very shady and that's because he thought that he was untouchable and that he could do anything he wanted... Yep, now he had changed but his past is still chasing him and is creating him more serious problems than ever!!!
Now, Reed is trapped in an ugly mess and he doesn't know how to pull himself out of there!!!

Noone knows what to do to help him...

"I’ve run through these last few years with little regard for anyone but myself. I was proud of being an unfeeling asshole. Is this karma? Is me going to prison for five years punishment for the guys I’ve beaten, the girls I’ve hurt?
I’ve tried to act like nothing’s wrong.... But I can’t pretend anymore that everything is okay... My life isn’t okay."

And suddenly, everyone except the Royal family is against the Golden Boy and it seems that there is no light in the end of the tunel....
Reed has no more time left and as each day is passing by, he feels more desperate than ever!!!!

Only Ella is his only joy and her love is his strength... But for how long???
What i liked very much was that Reed even helpless, he was determined to stay and fight!!!

“Let’s just go. Right now. You and me.”
“I'm a Royal, baby. I don't run. I fight.”

Ella is staying beside Reed in this awful experience and she is supporting him with her love... Sometimes, the doubts are creeping inside of her, but she is preffering to believe that something good will happen in the end and that Reed will be safe beside her...

Even though that her mind is only in Reed, a drastic changing is happening in her life and she has to be away from the Royals and to learn to live under other, unknown conditions!!! And that is pissing her off!!!

She may have little more time with Reed and someone is taking it away from her!!!

"I love Reed, I really do, but his temper is his own worst enemy. If he can’t get himself under control, things could get a million times worse for him."

“In some small corner of my brain that is now in control, I feel like if I love him hard enough, long enough, I can keep him with me forever.”

The last part of the book was equally good with the previous two parts...
For once again, we had many twists and surprises that i wasn't expecting!!!

Reed and Ella for once again proved how strong and big was their love!!! And i loved it!!!
But... I think i missed the Royals!!! I wanted more of them...
The rest of the secondary characters for once again got in my nerves, except Val and Wade whom i like very much!!!

"Ella makes me whole. I make her whole.
I used to be scared of the future. I didn’t know where I’d end up, didn’t know if the anger and bitterness inside me would ever truly go away, if I could ever feel worthy or find someone who’d be able to see through the asshole I pretend to be to the rest of the world.
But I’m not scared anymore, and I did find someone who sees me. Who really, truly sees me. And I see her, too. Ella Harper is all I’m ever going to see, because she’s my future. She’s my steel and my fire and my salvation.
She’s everything."
{Reed}

"Reed’s not the destroyer. He’s never destroyed anything in his life; he’s always been the protector." {Ella}

So this was the end of an interesting, intoxicating and twisted fairytale!!!

I enjoyed every single moment in here... Sad, happy, angry, sweet...
I felt part of the story and i will always remember the Royals with a big smile on my face!!!

"Sometimes I still can’t believe that we all hated each other when I first got here. Reed was determined to destroy me. His brothers alternately taunted or ignored me. I fantasized about running away on a daily basis. And now I can’t imagine not having the Royals in my life."
