Why you should visit Axis at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2016

We truly believe that smarter cameras can help make cities smarter as well, and to prove our commitment, we will be at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2016 in Barcelona on November 15-17th presenting solutions developed in conjunction with our partners to improve public safety and security levels for cities and their citizens.

Thanks to the implementation of several technologies, we enable existing solutions to be more efficient and new concepts to be innovative. One example that will be presented in Barcelona is the combination of Axis’ Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and Axis’ Lightfinder, this package enables objects to be visible in a scene even in the most difficult lighting conditions, offering high levels of detail and image quality making solutions for smart cities reliable, efficient and applicable to new scenarios.

Herta Security’s hi-tech facial recognition technology, combined with the above capabilities can perform intelligent data capture and video analysis, and can play a key role in different situations, from indoor and outdoor spaces detecting multiple faces in real time.

Citilog provides integrated solutions enhancing traffic and transportation safety and efficiency and contributing to a better mobility of citizens. First of all, by improving the city’s traffic flow with video analytics tools for traffic monitoring, such as automatic incident detection, providing real-time alerts in order to reduce traffic jams and shorten intervention times.

Axis' deployable video surveillance solution over the 4G/LTE network will also be on display, providing a potentially flexible, simple and useful application in many smart city scenarios and enabling administrations to reduce installation and connectivity costs.

Meet us at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2016 in Barcelona, November 15-17th.
