Thanks to recent statements by Donald Trump, the Republican candidate’s supporters have become very concerned about the integrity of the U.S. presidential election, and are ready to disbelieve the results if their candidate loses. In other words, they think this election is #rigid!!! Perhaps the most rigid election in a generation.

Recent polls have certainly been inflexible, in that they show Hillary Clinton as heavily favored, but it’s not clear how the election itself is “rigid.”

Wait, are they trying to say “rigged?” Huh.
There’s very little evidence to support claims of U.S. voter fraud, and most measures taken to crack down on it are just disguised attempts to suppress minority votes.
Trump has asked his supporters to “not just vote,” but watch polling places in “certain areas” to make sure there’s no attempt by Crooked Hillary to “steal” the election, because “people might vote 10 times.”

At a recent Trump rally in Cincinnati, one supporter told the Boston Globe, “I’ll look for… well, it’s called racial profiling. Mexicans. Syrians. People who can’t speak American. I’m going to go right up behind them. I’ll do everything legally. I want to see if they are accountable. I’m not going to do anything illegal. I’m going to make them a little bit nervous.”
It’s the last strategy remaining to Trump, down 8 points in CNN’s latest poll of polls: Fighting imaginary voter fraud with real intimidation.
It’s a shame that the laws protecting minority voting rights aren’t more #rigid.
