Some of us watch mixed martial arts (MMA) for the action. Some of us watch it for the blood. All of us, minus the few stragglers who look away in between rounds, watch it for the ring girls. And out of all the ring girls, the ladies of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Octagon are the most watchable.
Luckily for UFC fans, the promotion has decided to hold auditions for a new reality series on POP TV Network to find new Octagon girls to add to its stable (h/t BJPenn.com). If you are, or know, somebody who would like to audition, the official application requirements are as follows:
- Are at least 21 years of age and live in Southern California
- Have a fit and athletic body type
- Are legally able to work and live in the United States
- Have never appeared in pornographic material
- Are not contractually tied to any other combat sports promotion
- Can attend scheduled auditions in North Hollywood during the week of October 24 and film a presentation for the show in mid-November.
Prominent Octagon girls Arianny Celeste and Brittney Palmer have already etched out their spots in the current MMA community, so it's cool to see the promotion opening doors for a select few lucky ladies. Wonder what UFC production will look like under new management of entertainment juggernaut WME/IMG.
