Groundbreaking Ceremony, Marine Safety Center
  
The City of Encinitas will host a ceremonial groundbreaking event for the new Moonlight Beach Marine Safety Center. The public is invited to join state and city officials, lifeguards, and representatives of the design, engineering, and construction team.

First Wednesday Concert Series: Michele Lundeen
Nicknamed the "Queen of Steam" for her powerhouse vocals and sassy, hi-energy shows, performs Blues, Funk, Roots, Soul, Rhythm, and more. She is a multiple San Diego Music Awards winner. (Friends of the Cardiff Library)

Presentation and Discussion: Ken Harrison, Historical Postcards of Cardiff, 1914 -1970
Ken is a freelance reporter for the San Diego Reader and began his collection a decade ago, searching on eBay. The original col-lection won 3rd Place in the Hobby Show at the San Diego County Fair in 2006. It has doubled in size since then.

Kombucha Culture Talk

Lecture: Revisiting Vietnam: But Why Did They Give Us Cowboy Hats?
Retired Rear Admiral Pete Pettigrew, a pilot in the Vietnam War, returned to Vietnam last year with a group of other fighter pilots. The purpose of the trip was to meet their former adversaries, fighter pilots from North Vietnam.  (LIFE Club San Elijo)
