Area's top statistical returners

We're one week down and three weeks to go when it comes to getting ready for the high school football season. 

But when it comes to our high school football preview section that hits the newsstands Aug. 27, the TRN sports guys are right on deadline. Consider this the two-minute warning and we've got to drive the field. 

That's why I haven't posted a few blogs this week regarding area football topics like in years past. But don't worry. We'll start that up this weekend and have a bunch before the season kicks off Sept. 1. 

Among the usual topics will be every team's quarterback situation, analyzing schedules and where I choose whether your team is going to win more or less games than the previous year (and thus motivate a handful of area towns). 

Anyway, we've got a lot of cool things in store for the season. In case you've missed it, we've been doing a "Ready To Grind" series of football interviews that can be found here.  And we've got a neat video project Lauren Roberts is working on that involves breaking down an offensive play from multiple angles. Drones, Go-Pros, you name it.
