New connections made at the Smart City World Expo 
ENoLL was present at the sixth edition of the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC), on 15-17 November in Barcelona. For the first time ENoLL had a booth, where we not only presented our network to SCEWC attendants, but were also joined by several effective members who were talking to the visitors about activities in their Living Labs. The event was visited by more than 16,000 people and brought together 600 cities from five continents in the biggest-ever gathering of municipal authorities in the event's history. Read more 
Scaling-up social innovation through Living Labs 
Parallel to the activities which took place in the booth, ENoLL also ran a dedicated session titled “Scaling-up social innovation through Living Labs” on 16 November. The session was moderated by ENoLL President Tuija Hirvikoski (Laurea University of Applied Sciences) and energised by speakers like Artur Serra (i2CAT), Wim De Kinderen (Brainport Eindhoven EU) and Hans Schnitzer (CityLAB). ENoLL Projects
PELARS project Policy-event in Brussels 
On 9 November, ENoLL as a consortium partner of PELARS project organised a Policy Event in Brussels. The event saw representatives of academia, European Commission, ENoLL members and EU-funded projects discuss the future of STEM learning. Read more 
PELARS project Pop-Up events organised in collaboration with ENoLL members
In November, two PELARS Pop-up events took place organised in collaboration with ENoLL effective members GAIA from Bilbao and KWMC from Bristol. At the pop-up events, a workshop that was led by project partners taught students coding while making an interactive toy. Read more about the project and the pop-up events here

Restructuring of ENoLL website "members area" 
ENoLL Members area has been re-structured. It will include information about the calls for proposals, expert groups access, and detailed notes from the events attended among other topics. ENoLL members will receive a log-in code in their email by mid-December. 
4th Connected Smart Cities conference will take place in January 
Connected Smart Cities Conference will take place on 12 January in Brussels. The conference, organised by Open and Agile Smart Cities in collaboration with close partners (such as ENoLL), will bring together city leaders, representatives of the European institutions, tech experts and business developers. ENoLL members interested in Smart City topics are invited to join, please register here

Consorcio Fernando De Los Rios paper on Smart Strategy

ENoLL effective member Consorcio Fernando de los Ríos published a paper on Telecenters as a development tool of a Smart Strategy in rural areas. You can read the full paper in Spanish here  

Knowle West Media Centre celebrates 20th anniversary
ENoLL effective member KWMC celebrated its 20th anniversary.  Since 1996, Knowle West Media Centre has harnessed the power of technology and the arts to support people to bring about positive change. We congratulate the centre on its successful work. Read more about KWMC here 
New Social Media App from Başakşehir Living Lab 

Başakşehir Living Lab developed Livingtagram - new social media app, linked with Instagram, making it possible to send and print photos. The app was developed by Sabri Cici and Erhan Kaplan. Photos which were shared on instagram (with an appropriate #hashtag) can be printed from a specially designed Livingtagram kiosk. Read more 

Eindhoven as a Living Lab for Intelligent Lighting
After an innovative call for tenders, the City of Eindhoven recently signed a 15-year contract with Philips Lighting and Heijmans. The project encompasses the co-creational development of innovative (lighting) applications in the public space, as well as the maintenance and management of the public lighting within the city. Apulian ICT Living Lab participated at “Inclusive Smart Cities” event

On 23 November, “Inclusive Smart Cities: A European Manifesto on Citizen Engagement” conference was held in Brussels. During the presentation session of best practices from Cities, H2020 projects and Toolkits from EIP-SCC Initiatives, Gaetano Grasso presented a short communication titled  “Apulian ICT Living Labs and Smart cities”. Library Living Lab at the Smart City Expo 

The Library Living Lab was present at this year’s Smart City Expo, as the first living lab within a public library in order to promote its bottom up approach and activities among more than 14.000 visitors and over 600 guest cities. Story behind the photo

Danish Outdoor Lighting Lab
DOLL is Europe’s largest Living Lab for intelligent outdoor lighting and Smart City solutions. More than 150 cities from more than 30 different countries have already visited DOLL Living Lab, which is set out to create an innovative playground and transparency in the new complex markets. Read more 
Blockchain Forum in Paris organised by La Fabrique du Futur
The blockchain - seen as the next web revolution - allows creative individuals to unite to innovate together while keeping the added value they have created.  It combines forward thinking (keynote speeches, round tables discussions) with workshops on application domains, business meetings, pitches by startups.
