If you haven't heard of the acronym C.H.A.M.P.S, you are missing out on one of the best classroom management strategies in the WORLD!!! CHAMPS, stands for Conversation, Help, Activity, Movement, Participation, and Success. Each part of the acronym has a special mini-poster with the numbers 1,2, and 3, which clearly defines the expectation for whatever we are doing in class!
Example: We are going to do silent work time at our seat. I will set expectations using my mini posters and identifying what/how each student is expected to complete during the declared activity.
