In the sexy heat of Miami's party scene, they discover a new, forbidden addiction—each other.

Bienvenidos a Miami! Welcome to the hottest party scene in the U.S. Where beneath all the glitter, hard bodies and sexy drinks, the lives of the hard-partying residents of the 305 are not as they seem.

Daniel Ross is getting his life in Miami back on track. Common lore says once an addict, always an addict, but Danny's out to prove lore is a moron. After a tough, celibate year of getting sober, a rental room in the home of his sister’s best friend, Amy, is only a stop on his journey to better things. But the best thing in Danny's life may be right in front of him--the sweet, curvaceous Amy. When they tumble into bed, he discovers a new addiction to her smokin' lips and body.

When Amy Stern agrees to let Danny move in, it’s out of compassion. Her new tenant isn’t supposed to fill her thoughts, and star in her sexy dreams. He's definitely not meant to interfere with her budding relationship with a steady, sweet lawyer. If Amy were smart, she’d design clothes for her plus-sized women’s boutique, date her lawyer, and suppress her longing for Danny. And she'd definitely never touch him. Because once she does, his kisses and his embrace set off an explosive craving neither of them can control.

Now Amy's caught in a love triangle, and she has a secret that she's going to have to share with both men, the sooner the better. Which one of them is worthy of her trust, and her commitment?

This book is 2nd in the series, but I read it first! Amy & Danny spark off the page with their chemistry. Danny, a recovering addict, makes you a believer that there can be recovery. Amy really believes in Danny. But she doesn't romanticize the situation. She knows the road could be bumpy, and she is trying to decide if it's worth the travel! This is a wonderful story of two people who are a little lost, but could find hope and love with each other. I really enjoyed this book. And I've have since gone back and read the 1st in the series!

This 'opposites attract' romance is an emotional, and heartwarming story. Danny is struggling as a recovering addict to take back his life. He is living with his sisters best friend, Amy, who is helping him get back on his feet. Amy had a crush on the popular Danny in high school when he was so kind to her when they worked on a project together. Now years later Danny is attracted to Amy and she has a hard time trusting their mutual feelings. Amy has always struggled with her weight and still has some lingering self-esteem issues. But she can't say no to Danny when their chemistry is so explosive. I really liked Danny as he tried to prove to himself and others that he was winning his battle with addiction. He really cared for Amy and they had such great chemistry. It was hard to watch Amy struggle with her doubts about Danny and turn to someone else who looked good on paper. I really liked Danny and Amy, they took care of each other, had fun together and had fiery passion. I found them to be genuine and honest even if I didn't agree with some of their actions. Ms. Silver did a great job addressing two very hard topics with empathy and honesty. This story started slow for me but it picked up quickly and as secrets are revealed, I was totally enthralled in what would happen next. This was an emotional, raw, and sexy story that will definitely capture your heart.

Are you ready to heat things up in Miami?

Danny and Amy have history, the only problem is that Danny can't remember what it is.

This story is real life, gritty, raw and emotionally unpredictable. With a good amount of heat this is a must read.

After the events in Ms. Silver's previous book, Unworthy, it's clear how far Danny Ross has fallen. Going from high school Golden Boy to addict has taken its toll on both him and his sister and with her finding her HEA it's now his turn to find his own. It's not an easy journey though as drugs have left a permanent mark on his brain that's resulted in swatches of missing time and an inability to remember names. Also fighting her own demons is curvy girl Amy who's had a crush on Danny since she was a teen. A hurtful comment from him back then though has led to a lifetime of self-esteem issues which is keeping her from her own HEA and has her questioning everything about what a perfect match looks like. As Danny and Amy grow closer, once they become roommates, their hearts soon become entangled in a burgeoning relationship that takes numerous unexpected turns resulting in danger, joy, and lots of angst.

Danny came from a family of wealth where he was given every opportunity. In high school he was popular and destined for Princeton until his parents died in a car accident and sent his life spiraling into an abyss of anger, depression, and drugs. His addictions masked his pain and hid the truths he slowly discovered about his parents which soon put his life in jeopardy and eventually on the road to recovery. His recovery led him to Amy as he needed a place to stay but her open honesty was just what he needed during moments of cravings. He needs her support as it's a frustrating recovery marked by his mental deficits, lackluster career, and feelings of demoralization. Being Amy's friend soon has him wanting more but he doesn't feel worthy of her. When the sexual tension becomes too much, scorching encounters result which changes their futures unexpectedly and forces each of them to deal with their pasts if they hope for a future together. Danny's immensely appealing with his sexy bad boy vibe. Beneath the tough exterior lies a man with a kind heart who cares wholeheartedly for Amy and is always there when she needs him, accepting whatever scraps she's willing to give him. Though he fell far he rose to emotional highs where he was a perfect hero who said and did the most romantic things.

Amy has always had weight issues that others made fun of at every turn. The lone bright spot in high school was her time spent with Danny before he inadvertently hurt her feelings. Though she's never forgotten his words she can't help being drawn to him, especially with him staying in the bedroom next door. She's found comfort in having him near, and enjoys their clandestine encounters, but doesn't see him as someone capable of committing. Her burgeoning relationship with a man online seems ideal but cracks soon appear as her life suddenly gets thrown off course when an unexpected announcement brings her and Danny closer but results in even deeper self-esteem issues as well as danger from a disgruntled ex. Amy is a heroine that ultimately left me conflicted. I admired her owning her own business and for taking a chance on Danny as her new roommate, but she often used him when she needed comfort or support or sex. He was good enough to sleep with but not good enough to make a future with as she brought another man into their home. At times she acted as if she were beyond issues of weight but it's that which she used as a roadblock to being with Danny. She projected her fears onto him and held it against him by always jumping to conclusions, self-sabotaging their HEA, and further frustrating me by her tendency to pout and bring up her teenage heartbreak repeatedly. While I enjoyed seeing a BBW heroine, I wish Amy had been more worthy and stronger-willed.

From start to finish this was a story that captivated due to its well-crafted depiction of overcoming addiction and its compelling hero with a heart of gold. Danny's sweet, sexy, and is willing to pay his dues to make up for all the pain he's caused. He's hurting too and him finally coming to terms with that was heartbreaking. Amy was a different kind of heroine, far from perfect, but someone easy to relate to on the surface. Unfortunately I felt she wallowed in pity, made bad decisions, and purposely pushed Danny away on many occasions whenever she wasn't using him for her own satisfaction. Along with these two engaging main characters came a large and colorful cast of secondary characters. Some reached their HEA in the previous book and some have a HEA just being hinted at...if these combustible opposites can work through their heavily-laced sexual tension. To round out the group are two pseudo-villains, neither of who got their richly rewarding comeuppances, which left me disappointed as their comments and actions towards Amy were very hurtful. All in all this was an emotionally intense read about overcoming the past and accepting yourself wholeheartedly, an inspiring read, that I recommend despite its few flaws.

Danny is a strong, yet broken recovering addict. He moves in with his sister's best friend and is fighting his attraction to her. He tries to stay 'just friends' because he doesn't feel like he is good enough for her. He has truly fallen from grace, he was popular and rich in high school. No one knows all the details of why he made the decisions he did, not even his sister.
Amy has always had a crush on Danny, but never thought he would be interested. She has always been a little heavy and has low self-esteem because of it. They decide to have no-stings-attached sex and if either one wants to stop they will.
They both believe that it will be a one time thing, but it turns into more. Can Danny move past his feelings of worthlessness? Can Amy open her etes and realize that Danny has real feelings for her? What will happen when they are out together and a misunderstanding happens?
This book made me feel compelled to sympathize with each character. There were times when I wanted to smack Amy. There was also a time when I gasped at what happened and wondered how and if they could overcome a situation.
This was the first book I read by Ms. Silver and I will read more.

This is book #2 in the Worthy Series and is set in Miami. We met Amy Stern and Danny Ross in book #1. Amy Stern owns her own women's boutique. Danny is her roommate and is working hard to get his life back together. Both of them have things they have to overcome. Danny has been sober for a year. Amy has issues with her weight in the eyes of others. Can they have a relationship? Amy knows it can be bumpy, but she needs to know if it can be worth it.

To me, love is worth the risk especially if you find the one. Life is about risks. Without them, life would be boring. This book reminded me of this. Great book and I hope there is another book (or 2) in this series!!

I received this ARC of Worthless in exchange for an honest review.

The story continues well from the first book in the series, but I guess you don't need to read the first one. I felt this book was better than the first book, because the characters were deeper and to me more interesting. It is the story of Danny and Amy, who meet again while he is in recovery from his drug addiction and living with her as she is his sister’s former roommate.
What I really liked about the book is that it took the recovery process seriously and showed the struggle of that. Having not gone through this I cannot say but it felt much more real than when a character goes to rehab and returns all better. Also, the way Amy was written as being a “big girl” made her more realistic.

Overall, I thought it was good book with enough action or conflict to make it interesting and believable. I liked the way they came together and the triangle story line. The secondary characters are interesting and I am anxious to read the next book in the series.

This was an amazing story of strength, healing, forgiveness, and love.

I fell a bit in love with Danny in the first book of this series, and seeing how far this broken man has risen, has me completely head over heels. He's a bit rough around the edges, with a sweet sexy side that comes out. Amy is absolutely perfect for him. She gives him this strength when he needs it, and it's awesome to see a heroine accept a hero who has ghosts from his past haunting him. Their personalities compliment each other so well, and they both built each up from their insecurities.

I loved catching up with Cat and Ian, and getting to meet some upcoming characters. I HATED "Kym with a Y", and have hopes of her getting some kind of disease (or just knocked upside the head really hard) if we see her in any future books.

A phenomenal must read!!!

Worthless by Lynne Silver is book two in "The Worthy Series".
You should read book one " Unworthy" first because this is not a stand-alone.

Worthless is Daniel- Danny Ross and Amy´s story.

I met Danny in book one and I didn´t like him- at all.
He hurt his sister Cat and his best friend Ian and endangered them.
Now, months later he lives with Amy as roommates and Cat and Ian are engaged.
He is a gardener and she owns a clothes shop.

Both have issues; she with her weight and he with his drug addiction.
Can both get their HEA , they so deserve ? And who is Mia Elena Ross ?

I like Lynne Silver´s words. This series is well written and I gladly give 5 Stars.
Thank you Lynne Silver !!

This is a new author to me. I really loved the writing style and the way the story flowed. It was fun. A little intense at times. Amy and Danny are super cute but yet completely the opposite. They have some serious chemistry and it was a lot of fun to read. I wanted more! Was not ready for the book to end.

Danny has some issues. His past is extremely rough and he doesn't think hes deserving of such a great woman. But all things considered. He wants her. More than his next breath. He owns his mistakes and he wants nothing more than to redeem himself. When he was down and no one would give him a chance Amy did. Hes always appreciated that. Hes always wanted her.

Amy is so sweet. I love the fact that she is a bigger girl. This made the book more real to me. And Danny's past issues. Amy is a sweetheart. She wants the best for everyone and looks for the best in them. Shes super emotional. Heart always on her sleeve. Shes always wanted Danny but being the popular jock and her the big girl.... she never believed he would want her. Shes pushed him away time and time again. Never believing his intentions were pure.

This was a great read. With REAL issues. They were handled with emotion and class and respect. I loved this. I only wish there was more Danny and Amy. They make my heart happy.

I give Worthless 5 stars for peeking my curiosity and keeping me guessing throughout. This novel made me experience many emotions such as fear, loss, sadness, joy, and more.

Lynne Silver has written a great novel. It tugs at your heart, it deals with very complicated life issues, and it makes you think about what you'd do if you had to deal with some of the things they did.

Who says opposites don't attract? Danny is fit and lean and Amy is curvy and overweight. They connected and lit fireworks. Then, add in her steady, sweet lawyer and you have a love triangle. Could Amy's life get any more complicated?

Daniel Ross, recovering addict, is in a rental room at his sister's best friend's home while trying to get his life back on track. Once they finally have sex, he doesn't want it to end, she's his new addiction. Will she take a chance on him?

Amy Stern, curvy and compassionate, agrees to let her best friends brother move in with her. After she slept with him, she knows she should stop thinking of him and concentrate on her new relationship with her lawyer because he's a better bet. Whom will she choose?

Worthless is a romance novel that is thought provoking yet still light. It's a great read and I certainly recommend it.

Worthless is a story that delves into the ongoing struggle of a reformed addict and the redemption he seeks for the past; but Danny is no along with his inner demons, as his housemate Amy shoulders her lifetime insecurities about not conforming to the norm and the model thin expectations of society.

While Danny fights his battles one day at a time, he tries not to be embittered by the circumstances that led to the path he found himself on, and the responsibilities that weighed him down and eventually left him drowning in despair.

It’s hard to bring a villain back into the light, but Ms Silver did a fabulous job of presenting Danny as the man he could be, rather than just the man he was. And while I really liked Amy’s character in book one; she bordered on becoming a whiny, whoa is me character in this story, who used her fuller figure as an excuse for not taking chances and blaming others for her anxieties.

It was refreshing that the author maintained the focus on the continued battle that Danny faced in thwarting the constant craving for the drugs that ruled his life for so many years. So often this is glossed over and the reality of the life-long challenge is ignored. Well done Ms Silver on a thoroughly believable story.

Danny and Amy certainly are a pair. Amy, with her insecurities about her weight and Danny with his recent past drug addiction. That doesn't, however, stop them from going at it fairly soon in the book!
I usually have a picture of the characters in each book I read, based on the author's description but I had a tough time pinning down Amy. I think curvy, since a lot of women these days think they're fat but they just have nice curves. But then Amy would say she doesn't fit in a waiting room chair and my picture became a blur again.
Danny wasn't so hard to pin down. It's sad that he struggled to make it a year sober but continues to struggle as he and Amy explore their relationship.
There were some really touching moments and even a bit of crazy ex stalker excitement. You even get a look at the characters in the next installment.
I give it 4 stars

A heart wrenching story of a recovering addict, and a woman that is surprised by the coming of something new in her life.
Danny Ross is a recovering addict. His memory is coming back slowly each day. And the more he is around his sisters best friend Amy. He's come to realize he has been in love with her since high school. Only he's pretty sure she wouldn't be interested in a recovering addict, would she.
Amy has always thought of herself as a average woman with a bit of a weight problem. And having her new sexy roommate is not helping her at all. She has always had a crush on him since high school. But past hurts and his recovery are at the front of it all. Would he want a heavy weight woman? She's not his type but what would happen if...

Worthless by Lynne Silver is a book of redemption for Danny and one of self revelation for Amy. Danny and Amy are roommates and friends. When one night of passion leads to feelings that neither one want to admit to the other for reasons that seem important but really aren't everything changes in the blink of an eye. When their truths are slowly, and I mean slowly revealed, it would seem that once these two can put the past behind them, they will be able to move on perhaps together. While I thought this story was intriguing and had an amazing moral part, and I was glad to finally have a main character who was not stick figure thin, I found that it dragged at some points causing me to skim here and there.

I loved this story about a love triangle between Danny, Amy, and Mitch. Who is Amy going to chose, the former drug addict and brother of her best friend or the lawyer? I loved the way Lynne Silver draws you in and keeps you engaged from the first page. I won't give any spoilers, so one-click your copy and find out who Amy picks. This story will have you wanting to read more of Lynne Silver's books. Although this is part of a series, you can read it without reading Unworthy, but why would you want too?

Amy considers herself a fat girl and Danny is a former drug addict. But this really is a story about 2 people who don’t feel they are good enough for the other or that the other doesn’t truly like them for who they are. Self-esteem issues are really a HUGE issue so it is nice to see them addressed and how also you CAN be enough just for who you are and how you treat others.

I did not read book 1 and didn't really feel lost when reading this.

I recommend this book as it is easy to read and there are minor setbacks but the fact that it is all realistic in a way makes it that much better
