My 2016 in photos

In general, 2016 has been a very strange year. But for me personally, it's been a busy, relatively successful and enjoyable one.

So I thought it would be good to look through my 2016 in pictures - the perfect way to reflect and bring together some of my favourite memories from the year. It's definitely been an eventful one...

Pretty much the first major thing I did in 2016 was return to University for the final semester of second year. Back to work...

But it also meant going back to London and getting the chance to explore one of my favourite places!

There were also fun things to remember from the early months, like going to the filming of an episode of The Last Leg. 

There was also the launch of Red Bull's new livery on Brick Lane in London, with Daniel Ricciardo and (then) driver Daniil Kvyat revealing the design.

I also got a piece published in Paddock magazine, all about some of the work I was doing at the time and F1.

I also got the chance to do a bit of supercar spotting in London, this was probably one of the most successful trips of the year in terms of the cars I saw.

My friend Imogen and I also managed to stumble across Top Gear filming on The Mall in March.  

Another fun TV filming was at The Graham Norton Show with my mate Becca, which was absolutely hilarious.

April was one of my favourite months of the year because it featured the best trip of 2016 - a week in Canada with my dad. 

We went to Montreal for a few days and got the chance to walk around the Circuit Gilles Villeneneuve.

We also road-tripped to Niagara Falls, which was an insane experience and one of the best days of my life.

The trip ended with a few days in Toronto before driving back to Montreal and getting the plane back to the UK. 

Once back from Canada, I had to finish off my second year of University and then took part in two internship/work experience placements (at Autosport and in the digital department of Richard James on Saville Row).

As I was in London, I decided to pop into London to watch the Gumball 3000 cars parade through Regent Street.

Then it was time for a week of rest and exploring in Corfu with my family. 

This was one of my favourite weekends and moments of the year - working for Autosport on IndyCar, Formula 3 and DTM coverage across the website and magazine in June.

I also went to the Battersea Park Formula E round in London, the finale of the 2015/2016 season. I reported on the double-header weekend for Grand Prix Times.

I also attended the Red Bull Racing/Aston Martin AM-RB 001 hypercar launch for Car Throttle.

Once back home in Norfolk, we had a family boat trip that definitely didn't include a collision...

London beckoned though as I had two more internships over the summer, including one at wearable technology website Wareable. During free weekends, I'd often head into the city centre to go supercar spotting.

My last internship of the summer was three weeks at carwow, which I really enjoyed. A challenge, but a fun one.

Summer ended with a trip to Sardinia with my family for some rest and relaxation before me and my siblings all headed back off to University.

Once I was back in London, I went to a Mock the Week episode filming with my friend Becca - probably one of the funniest memories of 2016 for me.

I also headed supercar spotting again with my mate Josh (from Supercar Kingdom), here's one of his snaps...

Bonfire Night was cold but enjoyable at Blackheath Fireworks, although getting home was a bit of a nightmare.

For a pre-birthday treat my parents organised a weekend city break in Milan in November, which was a really cool experience.

Once the University semester was out of the way, it was then back home for Christmas with the family. We're rarely in the same room together so it was good to all be reunited.

It's been a pretty eventful year, where I've pushed myself out of my comfort zone, completed a lot of work and visited some wonderful places.
