For most part, fashion has always been focussed on airbrushed images and picture-perfect photographs of celebrities. So when we happened to stumble upon the promo for Deepika Padukone’s fashion label, we were pleasantly surprised. Deepika Padukone’s fashion label turns the limelight away from models with chiselled bodies and firmly on to ‘real women’. The video features three young women who are clearly not trained models but rather the kind you’d run into in your office or your neighbourhood.

Needless to say the promo comes as a breath of (very, very) fresh air in the already crowded space of celeb fashion brands with their Photoshopped images and videos. So out go the fair-skinned, perfectly-toned bodies and in come the beautiful bronze-skinned ‘real women’ who are captured at their candid best in fashion-forward All About You designs. ALSO READ: OMFG! The video reminds you that beauty needn’t have anything to do with physical features at all. “Beauty,” as one of the girls in the film says, “is an expression.” The video encourages its viewers to accept who they are and love and embrace themselves.
