Description
Workshop Leaders: Mike Matason and Don Undeen
The Universal VLS4.60 Laser cutter is one of the most powerful, fast, and easy-to-use tools in the Maker Hub. The detail and precision of the Laser Cutter empowers both artistic and practical projects, and the speed makes it even more useful than the 3D printers for prototyping. In this workshop, we'll introduce you to the types of materials that can be used in the laser cutter, some useful online resources for generating designs, and techniques in Illustrator and Photoshop to unlock the creative potential of this awesome tool.
Note: Close-toed shoes must be worn in the Maker Hub. Please see the Safety Page for all Maker Hub rules: https://www.library.georgetown.edu/makerhub/safety.
