Description

This practical, cross-faculty session provides an introduction to the Vitae Researcher Development Framework (RDF) Planner* online tool and an opportunity for new doctoral researchers to get started on their development needs analysis (as required for RF1**) and ask questions.

If you don't already have an RDF planner account, please contact Elizabeth Scanlon via doctoralschool@shu.ac.uk

*The Vitae Researcher Development Framework (RDF) is a professional development framework for researchers that describes the knowledge, behaviours and attributes of successful researchers. The RDF Planner is an online application that can be used to identify strengths, action plan, review achievements and create a portfolio of evidence.

**As part of the RF1 (or equivalent) process, doctoral researchers at Sheffield Hallam University are required to confirm they have undertaken a development needs analysis. This must be done on the Vitae RDF planner (the 'my actions' and 'my action plan' parts of the planner). This should be done in liaison with your Director of Studies and sent to your faculty Head of Research Programmes.
