GRADY COUNTY, Okla. – An Oklahoma man has died following a strange accident on a road in Grady County.

Around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday night, emergency crews were called to County Rd. 1280 near Pocasset following a rollover accident.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say 45-year-old Brian Akins was driving a tractor-trailer northbound when he was forced to swerve off the road. Investigators say the rear dual tires came off of a vehicle that was traveling southbound and crossed into Akins’ path.

Troopers say Akins swerved off the road, which caused his tractor-trailer to roll before coming to a rest.

Despite wearing his seat belt, officials say Akins was pinned and partially ejected in the crash.

Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
