Reflections of Vietnam

Washington D.C.

It snowed hard on the morning of March 25 in Washington DC. I had gone into town very early that morning to get tickets for our family to tour the US Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The National Mall was basically deserted because of the early hour and the nasty weather.

While I was spending a few minutes at the Vietnam War Memorial, one man walked past. It didn’t take him long to disappear into the snow storm, but his reflection produced a haunting sort of effect in this solemn Memorial.
