With the launch of the world’s first Social Impact Bond in Peterborough, Social Finance sparked a global movement linking mainstream capital markets to solutions for our most critical social challenges. Today nearly 100 Social Impact Bonds in 20 countries are addressing issues ranging from homelessness to health, and education to the environment.
As we celebrate a decade of mobilizing capital to drive social progress, we know that the work is only a beginning. In the coming years, we will continue to build towards a future that is even bigger, bolder, and exponentially more impactful.
Announcing the Ventura County Project to Support ReentrySF Director Rashmi Khare and Whitney Museum CFO Idehen Aruede at the Whitney Biennial 2017 for artist Cameron Roland's installation on the Ventura Project to Support Reentry We are excited to launch the Ventura County Project to Support Reentry - a collaborative Pay for Success project between the Ventura County Executive Office, Ventura County Probation Agency, Interface Children & Family Services, and Social Finance to reduce recidivism, improve public safety, and promote family stability and economic opportunity for those on formal probation. The project is funded by Blue Shield of California Foundation, Nonprofit Finance Fund, Reinvestment Fund, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. It will serve 400 individuals over four years, providing a customized suite of services focused on understanding and responding to each client’s individual needs for successful reentry.
