Bestselling author Lisa Suzanne’s modern day romantic comedy is full of witty banter, killer abs, and laugh out loud moments. First impressions are usually right. My first impression of Carter King is that he’s a jerk, and he keeps proving that to be true. He’s persistent in asking me out, and when I learn he’s heir to a company that could do wonders for my career, I finally agree to a date. It goes better than I expect, and I write all about him in my popular dating blog, ending the post with a challenge for him to kiss me. He does, and it’s explosive. I’m pretty sure I badly misjudged him from the start... until I find out the reason he asked me out in the first place. Good thing I have a public platform to exact my revenge.

Are you looking for a fast paced and smart read... If so, then Clickbait is right in your wheelhouse. This is a story which is extremely current in its use of blogging, social media and the transition from person to person interaction to texting and electronic communicating.

We get a savvy woman who has made a name for herself through blogging. She is quick with a quip; she takes her life and lays it all out there for her readers... and they eat it up with a spoon. She is clear, sometimes snarky and sarcastic and always true to who she is...

Our fella is a man who looks like he walked of a billdboard... Handsome, Ripped and a bit sure of himself...but with good reason it seems....

These two keep crossing paths and he has decided this woman who has caught his eye... that she should go out with him....and taking no is not an answer he wants...

We get to experience two people who have both had recent break-ups... have their own things they want to keep private and each figuring out what it could be like to really talk and communicate face to face... They both take the leap and we benefit.

A funny and sassy read.

I almost DNF'ed this book but I finished it. I really had a hard time liking the heroine, she was childish, impulsive and judgy. And I really didn't buy the insta-luv. I think I am clearly not this author's audience.
Plus there is the fact that I am super private person, so you will never find me on snapchat and putting everything about my life on social media for the world to read (hey I am proud of the people who have the courage to put their life out there....but so not me)!The heroine blogs as in she talks about everything but mostly her sex life, with details about all her encounters.

The author has a good writing style tho, I will say. It was just me who had a hard time with the heroine.

Simply Amazing!

This book popped up on my kindle suggestions list and after reading the description I knew I had to give it a try. And oh wow am I glad I did. I was taken on an amazing ride with all the feels and emotions with this book. The storyline is amazing and the writing was too! I loved Courtney and her attitude. She doesn't hold back when she has something to say and not afraid to admit when she's wrong. And Carter? He is what dreams are made of. I fell in love with these two and their explosive chemistry. This is the first book I have read from this author but it sure won't be the last!

I liked this. I loved Carter. He was swoon-worthy, genuine and a great character. Courtney-I liked her, yet I didn’t. She acted totally immature in regards to Carter and I wanted to shake her. I liked her personality besides that, but her blog was so so personal. It did keep me reading and I’ll read the next.

This was a fun, light read that teaches you to never judge a book by its cover. Courtney and Connor are a couple that you can fall in love with. This is a book that will leave you with that “feel good” feeling.

I received this book as an ARC for a freely given honest review.

Although this was a quick and easy read with a decent premise, I'm just not too jazzed up about the book as a whole. I liked the hero. I liked the side characters, but I really didn't like the heroine.

I'm thinking that after this, the third book by this author that I've read, I can safely say that I'm not a fan of any of her female main characters. They're all strong characters, usually self-sufficient and driven, which normally I like, but emotionally, they're so immature, insecure and needy. It's that subconscious insecurity that makes females act and react ridiculously. I can understand some insecurities; hell, they make us human sometimes. I know some people connect to characters like this, but irrationally reacting to situations because pride stands in the way by masking those insecurities is a characteristic I just can't forgive.

Yes, this was another book involving a character reacting before getting the whole story. Assuming incorrectly and not listening to the explanation is a form of the miscommunication trope that so many books are portraying lately. Frankly, it's pissing me off.

This time, both characters were to blame. I liked Carter, but if he had opened himself up and explained some of his background before the big miscommunication, it would have been so much better. I do agree with another reviewer that Carter was too good for Courtney.

I am not of the generation who understands personal blogging. Private lives should remain that... private. I also didn't realize how lucrative blogging can be, that is if the book is to be believed. Can a girl from a modest background really afford designer wear and a house in San Diego on a blogger's salary? Hmm. Maybe I should rethink that personal blogging thing...

I did really like Emme, Courtney's best friend. I might read her story in March... maybe.

Courtney is a successful blogger chronicling her love life in San Diego. She has a huge following nationwide and uses the blog to vent her frustrations and answer questions from her fans. Along with in-depth posts, she includes quick five lists that are absolutely hilarious, usually stemming from real life lessons. She hasn’t had the best of luck relationship-wise, having broken up with her boyfriend six months prior. So when Carter comes along, she’s not really into getting into a relationship, especially with someone as cocky as he is.

Carter is in San Diego, looking to settle there due to his job. When he meets Courtney on the beach he decides he wants to pursue the challenge that is Courtney. When they keep on bumping into each other it seems that things were meant to be. But Carter is a little evasive when it comes to his personal life, and he too has just gotten out of a long-term relationship. Can two broken people find love in the city? Or will Courtney shut Carter down before she even gives him a chance?

Clickbait was very easy to fall right into and I didn’t want to put it down once I started. It is funny, spicy, and chock full of characters that you can’t help but love. The storyline was a little predictable, but I loved how Suzanne used a modern method of communication as the basis of the story. It showed a little bit how the lack of interpersonal communication hinders our ability to relate to people in real life, especially when it comes to dating. The relationship between Carter and Courtney is a slow burn, but when it finally ignites, it’s explosive.

If you’re looking for a laugh out loud, modern day romcom, you can’t go wrong here.

I received a copy of this book for review purposes.

Clickbait may be one of my favorites. Its light and fun and just a great read. I don’t know that I’d call it a comedy but I would call it addicting! I could not put this book down I was enthralled. I love the characters and I feel like a side story for her best friend may be entirely necessary xP. Lisa Suzanne has such a way about writing that her characters come to life. I am not ashamed to admit that I cried. I feel like everyone has felt the way Courtney feels at some point in their life. I’m not giving any spoilers so I can’t elaborate but when you read this book you will know exactly what I mean. . I related so hard to a lot of how she felt that I needed this story to have a HEA. I wanted everything for her, I was her, its so hard to explain how strongly I connected without giving it all away xP. This book isn’t life altering, but its a fantastic story, thats amazingly written. If you need an escape for a while Clickbait is the place to find it. I swear it was like I was watching a movie the characters were so human. It was wonderful. I will definitely be adding this to my must read multiple times pile. Even though this was a fun read it still managed to touch something in me that had me a crying mess haha. It was a fast read for me but when I really like a book I tend to fly through it because I can’t take breaks. This was one of those that I struggled to break away from because it was so good.

I found the main character Courtney Sanders to be selfish, vain and immature. I did not care for her at all. I thought she was going to change and mature, but sadly never did. Too bad too.

Great read

Loved this book. Courtney and Carter brought the best and the worst out in each other. Their secrets and old feelings kind of got in the way... But can they move on together or are they best assist from one another. Only time will tell

Clickbait by Lisa Suzanne is hilarious, sexy, and swoonworthy! I couldn’t put this book down!

Courtney is a dating blogger in San Diego who puts her life out there for everyone to read. She gives dating advice and sometimes it gets pretty personal. When she meets Carter King, she doesn’t want to give him a shot, but decides it could be beneficial to her and her blog, but when feelings get involved and things go south, she puts him on blast and things get interesting. Carter on the other hand is hard to figure out. We know from Courtney’s investigative side that he’s rich and powerful, and may not be over his ex, but he really does seem like a good guy. He treats Courtney amazing, but maybe it’s an act? It may all be just too good to be true.

Carter and Courtney have a whirlwind romance, they both don’t want to admit it’s more than just great sex, and trust me it is HOT, but you can tell there is more than that between them. These two just click, so when things go south, I was in shock just as much as Courtney was. I wanted to hurt Carter, and I think Courtney di an amazing job of doing it, but at the same time I felt horrible for him. Her articles were hilarious yet at the same time a bit mean spirited. You could tell with her article about him compared to her other DB articles that it was more personal and she truly was hurt. Everyone could see what she couldn’t she felt more for him than she had anyone else.

It takes A LOT for these two to figure things out, and it’s hilarious watching them figure things out, but in the end it’s worth it. Watching the blog articles go up as Courtney figures herself and her love life out is funny and insightful. Watching Emme and Axle trying to intervene in Carter and Courtney’s relationship while trying to figure their relationship out a well? Interesting to say the least.

Some may say this book is predictable, which it kind of is, but it has some interesting twists and turns as well. One thing I really loved was Courtney’s blog posts. Before Carter even entered the picture they were hilarious and as he entered the picture they got more funny and steamy. Seeing how much he changed her and her writing really showed the world and the reader what he meant to her, even if she didn’t realize it.

If you’re a lover of romantic comedies than this is the perfect book for you. I fell in love with Courtney and Carter. The bits and pieces of the Courtney’s blog between the chapter gave even more depth into this book and into who Courtney was and what she was feeling. I can’t recommend this book enough. I loved each and every part of this book. Clickbait had me laughing, and falling in love with the characters and I could definitely relate to Courtney on so many levels. She acts before she thinks and she puts her heart and soul into what she does. This is a definite must read and I highly suggest one-clicking this one today!

Wait a minute. What I am saying here is purely my thinking and I by doing so am not upsetting anyone unlike our main heroine, Courtney here.

Yes, Courtney here writes daily blog about love and relationship. Her whole like is written off on her blog ‘COURTNEY SANDY EGGO’. So, everybody who reads that knows what she is up to and who she was last in relationship…

Courtney had get into a relationship in the start of the book with an ex-boyfriend of hers but that didn’t go out as planned and all the mishaps were mentioned along with great details in her daily blog. After getting tired of strings of worthless relationships and meeting the jerks, she decides to write a small series on DB in SD. To find out the full form and the main aim of the name read the book! I think Courtney here a bit of cliché and too judgemental! I get that you were relationship with real jerks but not everyone is like that.

Carter is from a wealthy family in New York and is in San Diego for work and to buy himself a house. The first impression between Carter and Courtney was anything but smooth. Hot and sexy Carter who would do things to Courtney just by looking at her, which Off course she doesn’t like and do everything in her power to repulse him. Carter first came of as arrogant jerk who had everything he wanted but later on he wasn’t a jerk. Not a least of it.

She does something which I literally very low on some level to avenge Carter like guys!

But after spending time worth him knowing real him her perception towards him changed gradually but that Still doesn’t stop her to write about him. And obviously with the way she was going things were bound to go south and the after effect of it was really bad!

If you are looking for something fun and humorous and light read, go this one. Because Courtney Sanders with her daily blogs will entertain you till the end of the book.

I loved the "Fast Five" and blog posts at the start of the chapters. They added that little extra to the book that made it unique. Courtney was quite clever when she wasn't ranting about the douche bags she'd encountered or oversharing about her sex life. I get living your life through your blog to help others, but she was just a bit over-the-top for my liking. I can see why the guys in her life didn't like it and why everyone had to ask her to keep things "off-the-record" so to speak. She was an open book. All that being said, I believe this was intentional by the author so Courtney had an opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. And in the end, I grew to like her.

Carter on the other hand, I loved from the start! I just knew he was gonna be more than those chiseled abs that Courtney couldn't get enough of. He was genuine, caring, sexy, and worthy of someone wonderful. Sure he came off a little cocky at the start, but how else would he approach someone like Courtney. I liked how their story unfolded and the drama that ensued, but (and I feel like I say this way too much in my reviews) I wish Courtney would have talked to Carter. Communication is key in any relationship and especially in one where you're writing everything for the world to see.

This was my first Lisa Suzanne book, and I enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to reading more by her. I can't wait for Emme and Axel's story!

I got this book for an honest review by the author and it's a must read for sure!
http://thesecretworldofbooklovers.blo...
Courtney was perfect from the start, her blog was a genius idea and she was super successful because she was honest.
Her experiences really seemed to help people and she appeared to have this amazing life on the outside; but she was lonely, she only experienced superficial relationships and shared them with her audience, but she never really gave herself over to anyone.

Then she met Carter and everything changed, I could tell from the start they were perfect for each other, but they were separated by so many secrets that there was no way things could work out without them being honest to each other.

The chemistry between them was amazing and the sex scenes were too good to be true. They connected on different levels which made their experiences so much more appealing.

They have some hillarious interactions which only made the book better.

In the end if they find the strength to fight their own fears and let go of their inhibitions they could be happier than what they ever thought possible.

This story was really funny. It's about a blogger who blogs about her sex/love life. It has a little bit of a Sex in the City vibe. The characters are fun. Courtney bumps into a guy whom she strongly dislikes at first but starts to find herself interested in. It doesn't hurt that his family is in a business that could help her professionally. She has a hard time finding a guy that is okay with his life being documented on a popular blog and she also has to cconsider what she will do with her blog if she settles down with someone. Add in an ex-girlfriend, a move across country, a cousin who can't keep his mouth shut and disingenuous motives from both sides and hold on for a bumpy ride! And her parents... I can't even! They are straight out of the 80s! A really fun read!

A Really Enjoyable Novel!

I really liked this book, the characters, although the female lead was a bit of a brat at times, but the story, writing and flow for this book was very good and made it a good read! Glad I purchased it!

Ranting and unlikeable leading lady

This book is the first one I have ever been unable to finish. I had to stop at 90% because I had enough. I can’t believe how strongly I disliked the protagonist. I found her to be a flat, hypocritical B. I’m not sure how she has friends or gets a guy to like her, which makes the story difficult to get into. I also found the sex scenes to be too drawn out. There was limited character development but an over abundance of sexual details. No thanks.

If I had liked the heroine, even a little bit, I would have given this fun, sexy read 5 stars. But, alas, I couldn't stand her. I do like their banter, and the fact that she's smart and funny and loves her best friend. Beyond that, though, there isn't anything I like about her. She's judgmental, impulsive, malicious when she feels hurt and beyond self absorbed. Frankly, Carter is way too good for her.

But, let me start at the beginning. Courtney writes a successful blog about relationships (sex) and men in San Diego called Courting Sandy Eggo, kind of a dumb name, but whatever. In it, she details her own exploits and relationships and sex. When someone pisses her off (namely, her boyfriends, sex partners, exes, what have you), she bashes them in her blog. She takes no punches and tells it like it is. Or like it is in her own, deluded, self absorbed, self centered world. She doesn't take heed of anyone else's side of the story, nor does she care to even think there might be another side of the story. It's all about her and her feelings. Which is fine, after all, it is her blog. It's fine until she writes such a nasty blog post about her "ex" that it hits him where it hurts most: in his career, a career she didn't know about because he wasn't able to tell her until things were finalized. Does she feel bad about hurting him? Him, is Carter King, a deliciously sexy guy with abs for days that she meets on the beach while she's walking her ex's dog. No, she doesn't feel bad, because it's all about her and her hurt. Does she stop to ask him about his side of the story before she revenge writes her feelings? Nope, she does not. And even when she finds out that her blog hurt him, hurt his career, she doesn't take it down because remember, it's all about her. When she finds out what his actual career is, that he's the director of a huge charity for his family, and isn't just rolling around in his family's money as she had written in her hateful blog post, does she feel bad then? Not really. And this is why I can't in all honesty, give Clickbait 5 stars, because I absolutely cannot stand Courtney. She's pretty horrible.

Carter, on the other hand, is awesome. He's sweet, kind, sexy, loves dogs, and for God's sake, runs a charity! Need I say more?

Anyway, I hope you still read Clickbait because it is well written, and sexy and funny. You will probably like Courtney, because from the reviews I've read, I am in the minority in my way of thinking. And even if you don't like her, you will still be able to appreciate this for the well written, sexy read that it is, just as I appreciate it.

Calling all Bloggers and Followers! Clickbait is here and ready to help give you the scoop in SD on relationships and let's not forget the cooking for those who can't cook either. haha Get ready for some laughs, dirty deeds, oh the places we will go and some DB's that we see to steer clear of in SD.
Courtney is real, funny, sassy and does not hold back much when it comes to her personal life. Well OK maybe from her parents for the time being. We all need to stay a Daddy's girl somehow right? Being in the lime light isn't always easy. Let alone trying to be in a relationship and knowing that you may end up in the story the next day. Yikes, men run for your life! Well except you Carter King. CK you have met your match with CS that is for sure. Secrets, Fast Five, Animals, Passion and Comedy would be my chosen list to write about in my daily column. Thankfully my blogging stems from books so I don't harm any feelings like Court can. Well OK, I would never write anything hurtful in my reviews, but I see this hurt occur with our authors and it is a shame. Don't be a Clickbait, for the wrong reasons! Click for the positive and if needed constructive feedback, but in a nice way. Take a lesson from Court and apologize if need be.
Carter you may have appeared as a DB at first, but I understand why you hid your story at first. You redeemed yourself though not only to Court, but as a co-writer as well for the followers. Your fear of heights didn't stop you from showing Court just how real and serious you where though. Swoon your heart when you read this section! You cannot help, but fall in love with CK. Come on he loves animals, contributes to amazing charities, loves and accepts Court for who and what she does for a living and knows all the best places for public viewing I'll say. Give me a burrito and pizza and I'd eat it even if I didn't like it too, just cause it came from a hottie that found the one like Dad said would happen.
Emme and Axel we may know bits and pieces of your story and part of it is heartbreaking to say the least with what happened in the past, but I cannot wait to read how the Port landed the bartender and event coordinator. Let's not forget that we will get to see more of the three C's (Courtney, Carter and Click-baiting). Oh brother, I am becoming like the Kings! Lisa another awesome read and can't wait for the next one!

Courtney Sanders is a somewhat well-known blogger who writes an honest and heartfelt blog about her dating and sex life in San Diego (thus, the title of her blog is Courting Sandy Eggo...). She has a string of ex-boyfriends, but that doesn’t stop her from still trying to search for something more, although she is a little wary of deeper relationships. She meets Carter King one day when she’s walking her ex-boyfriend‘s dog along the beach. She gets kind of mad at him because the dog that he was walking ruined her favorite dress. After that, they keep running into each other. It turns out he’s visiting from New York, and he’s the cousin of a friend of Courtney’s. She decides to give him a chance, and they go out on a few dates. The dates end up being a lot better than Courtney expected, and she starts to really like Carter. Then he has to return to New York for a week, and Courtney is left feeling unsure about whether she wants to take it deeper or not. However, something happens, and Courtney interprets it one way, when there’s really more to the story that she doesn’t see. She ends up hurt, and writes about it in her blog.

Courtney is an interesting character. She’s not afraid to be honest, blunt, or authentic. The thing that makes her so unique, is that she’s not afraid to admit to the whole world when she’s done something wrong. She owns her mistakes fully. There are politicians and physicians out there who could learn from this behavior! There’s a lot more to Carter than meets the eye as well. He reserves a lot of information about himself, to keep people from grabbing onto him for the wrong reasons. That’s understandable because of his family: he belongs to a media mogul family. However, Carter is more involved with the philanthropic arm of that family. That’s one of the pieces that Courtney doesn’t know when she jumps to some erroneous conclusions.

This book holds the interest of the reader, and the story is compelling because the characters are so fascinating. This is definitely a five-steam read, so if that offends you, this is probably not the right book for you. The pace is really good in this book, and it was difficult to put down. This could definitely be a fun vacation read; even if vacation isn’t possible, it’s still an engaging read anytime.

This was a really great and different story. Courtney Sanders has a popular dating and relationship blog setup in San Diego, CA. She shares lots of information about her life and relationships in the blog. She has a true passion for her blog and she actually makes enough money with it to not have to do anything else for money. One day she takes her ex's dog Sandy to Dog Park and she meets Carter King. He's gorgeous and has a great body but he acts a little bit like a db.

Courtney has dated here and there but she seems to realize that they weren't really relationships. She thinks she has a second chance with a relationship that ended because he moved for his job. But she finds out that his family thinks her blog was embarrassing. She keeps running into Carter but he has a tendency to act like a jerk at times. She learns that his family owns and runs King Communications and realizes that might be great for her blog. So she goes on a date with him but she finds that there is more to him than meets the eye but he also has a huge tendency to not tell her things about himself and his life.

Carter has lived in New York for his whole life. He's in San Diego to check some things out and go house hunting. He's drawn to Courtney and he already knew she runs a blog because his ex-girlfriend signed him up for it. He's been reading it for years and sees an opportunity to show his ex-girlfriend something. But he doesn't realize that there is so much more to Courtney than how she appears on her blog. He has a tendency to not share information about himself with Courtney because he's scared of her using it on her blog. But by keeping things from her, he ends up hurting her and she pays him back with hurting him back.

Definitely worth reading.

Well written, not a fan of the heroine

The leading lady is a blogger by trade (shh, don't tell Mom and Dad), making her living writing about her life. Very specifically, and often, her sex life, partners, and the "Epic Quake". (Yeah, it's what you think it is. A soul-shattering California orgasm). She's not helping any California girl stereotypes by making everything about her.

The leading man is amazingly hot, a sex god, has a gentle nature, and loves animals. I want to warn him away from this nitwit who's often a jerk to him and uses her blog to broadcast her Epic Leaps To Conclusion without anything like communication. Run away, Carter, you deserve better!

The writing is solid, and kept me reading and engaged even with the opinion stated above. I'll still read the next in the series in case it was just something about this pairing that didn't click with me. The heroine feels real, just not someone I'd like to hang with. Carter is less fully realized; his main role is sex god and heroine worshipper. (Run. Srsly). An example of the writing:

"He’s kissing me like he needs me to survive, like I’m the oxygen he needs to breathe, the drink to quench his thirst, the sustenance to sustain his life. It’s erotic and searing, this kiss, and it’s so completely different from the first two. The first one was to prove a point, a response to my blog post. It was hot and it took me down, but it wasn’t like this. The second one was sweet, romantic.

This one? This is one for the books. It’s passionate. It’s fiery. It’s all-consuming and blistering."

**ARC received in exchange for an honest review**

First Review of 2017!
(Because I will read anything Lisa Suzanne writes, and because I absolutely love her books and promised her a review. And when do I not review her books.)

In the middle of reading the ARC of her newest novel “Clickbait” I had to pause, get on Facebook and message her.
I said something along the lines of,
“I know you hear this a lot, but I fecking love your books.”
And I’m sure it’s a great feeling for an author to hear but praise needs to be given when raise is due.
Honestly if I could message authors all the time (I don’t spam people lol ) I would message them while I’m reading and give them play by plays of me reading their novel.
“Clickbait” is Suzanne’s first Romantic Comedy and while I didn’t think it was very funny I still found there to be a lot of love, romance, and smirking moments reading about the romance and the struggles of Courtney Sanders and Carter King.

In the sunny land of San Diego there is an infamous blogger named Courtney Sanders who runs a very successful relationship blog.
During one very uneventful day at the beach trouble strikes…
Trouble coming in the form of a wet puppy in the care of one Carter King. Tall, Handsome, and Abs for Days! Courtney is immediately struck by him but is put off by his attitude. Capital D and Capital B.
But upon learning he is the son of a very successful and wealthy company she decides that perhaps he can advance her career in the media world so she agrees to go out with him.
Just as they start to get close Courtney realizes that maybe she’s completely wrong about Carter and his abs, maybe he’s actually not such a bad guy.
But when he goes to New York for an event she stumbles upon something she may not have meant to, and her entire relationship with Carter is questioned and jeopardized. So what does she do?
She writes about it on her Blog.

I can't say this enough but I wish I could write these reviews immediate after I finish reading (and sometimes I do and sometimes I don't/can't depending on location. And writing on my phone is hard).
But feelings are way more raw and immediate when you write right away and not a day or so after you finish reading the book.

Out of all the female protagonists Suzanne has written about I think I identify with this character the most. One thing Courtney Sanders certainly is, is that she is feisty, she has attitude and she's possibly quite stubborn. You meet a hot guy and they use a cheesy line on you, I'd definitely be laughing at them and saying, "Does this really work for you?" It's not like me to fall for a line like that and Courtney doesn't either.
She's extremely successful for her age, independent and also doesn't take crap from anyone. She's passionate, driven and is quite the sex-fiend and not ashamed to admit it.

One of the things that was kind of...not a turn off but more of a, "REALLY GIRL!?" moment was the fact that she wrote about her love life and posted it online. (Obviously this is just part of the story and ultimately the author's decision but it just....made me cringe). Being part of the 'millennial' age group and quite savvy with social media, I can say with 100% certainty that posting EVERYTHING about your love life is going to 100% backfire. Sure it...sort of worked out for her but there are so many drawbacks... Nothing is private, nothing is special, and yeah you're not using last names for confidentiality purposes etc etc but people don't want to be written about on the internet. I just wasn't entirely comfortable with the subject she was blogging about (not to mention the slander against these people). BUT AGAIN! It's all fiction and the author's subject to write about.

As for our male lead, Carter King... MMM...
Nah he's pretty good the way he is.
I mean sure he's got awesome abs *coughunrealisticcough* JK, but at the same time I like how he is flawed, though I won't say how.
Let me tell you, he may seem perfect but someone's flaws are also what make them human. So good on you Suzanne for making someone I think is believable!

"Oh? When and where are you taking me out?"
He walks over to my side of the bed and reaches out his hand to help me up. "Tomorrow."
I stand. "And what if I have plans tomorrow?"
He moves in close to me, his face inches from mine. "You'll cancel them."

One other comment I have about this book is it doesn't really follow the usual mountain climbing novel formula (I mean it does but in an odd way). Let me explain what I mean.
In most novels you start by climbing the metaphorical mountain, everything is going great, and then you hit the climax and then BOOM - Problem arises, and then everything sucks as you come down from the mountain, but when you're back on the ground things start to look better.
What does this have to do with "Clickbait", well - I felt like the climax happened super early. That the characters got together fairly quickly and the climax happened practically in the middle of the book.
But this also left a lot of time for conflict which you don't see very often. I enjoyed seeing a character who was flawed and stubborn and stuck to her gut that it seemed to drag out the conflict longer than it had to. And I enjoyed seeing the main character (Courtney) have to grow and figure things out on her own.
This formula seems more like a small cliff than a mountain haha.

Overall a very quick and easily enjoyable novel.
I love that Suzanne writes Stand Alones rather than series (yes Lisa, I said it).
Stand-alones are great because they don't require too much commitment.
And the great thing about Suzanne's novels is that she writes so well that you never want to put her books down. Easily devoured in one sitting if I could, and extremely enjoyable.

"I think it's lucky to meet a person who completes you, no matter what. If it takes two months or ten years to develop, it has to be pure luck to find someone you like enough to spend the rest of your life with them."

Fab!!

I downloaded this book quite a while ago intending to read it but got sidetracked by other book from authors i am addicted to. Anyway finally got round to reading this and i was totally hooked. I read it all in one go. I couldnt put it down. It was 3am by the time i got to bed.
The story is about Courtney who is a personal blogger. She writes everything about herself and her dating disasters. I thought her blog was hilarious and so funny. Loved to read her blog.
She meets Carter who blames her for wrecking his 3 year relationship. His exgirlfriend was hooked on her blog.
He decides to pursue her and they get on like a house on fire and the sex is mindblowing and so electric.
When some truths come to light, Courtney is beyond angry and very hurt and she retaliates the only way she knows how which is through her blog.
This causes a whole host of other problems.
How will Courtney and Carter unravel everything and get their HEA is all the story is all about.
What will happen next? What was Carter secret?
All will be revealed once you read it.
Im sad for the book to end and wish we see more of Courtney and Carter in the future.

I went into this book expecting worse based on reviews of the main character. I don’t agree with everything Courtney did but I also can see that she’s one of the more realistic characters I’ve ever come across in a book! She’s crass and quick to judge but she’s also very much like most of the 20-30 something’s of right now. Everything is put online no matter how personal, we might not all have blogs but with all the social media outlets it’s happening all the time.
At times I wasn’t a fan of her quick judgement but at the same time I feel like she handled things in a more normal way than what we usually see in books. What woman isn’t going to call a man out for dating and/or sleeping with her and then going on a date with his ex? I know I’d definitely assume the worst in someone I just met!
Everything did happen quite fast but at the same time, if you read to the end it really came together nicely and had a few lessons. Most people make mistakes in their early 20s but the important part is did you learn from them.

*thank you to the author for providing an arc***

Clickbait is a fun, flirty book about a sassy blogger and a hot business man.

Courtney Sanders is a professional blogger who writes about her love life and does not leave anything out. She talks about everything, from the best sex she had the night before to getting her heart broken. And when she meets Carter King, she doesn't hold back.

Carter wants Courtney and after a horrible first impression, he will do want he can to get her to change her mind. From their first date Courtney realizes that maybe she misjudged him and starts to give him a chance. But when Carter has to go back to New York for a couple days it takes a toll on their relationship.

Will they be able to get past the hurt they cause each other or will it be too much and let the best thing they've ever had walk away?

Click and Swoon

This is such a great book. Courtney runs a very successful blog on San Diego's available bachelor's and her own love life. When she meets Carter for the first time she is not necessarily swoon since his dog ruined her favorite dress. When they run into each other again at Courtney's favorite bar she agrees on a date with him. Despite her initial hesitations she is swoon by Carter, until his ex comes back into the picture. Courtney is posting on her blog out of anger and hurt and by doing so she hurts and angers Carter. Opening up to each other about their feelings deems to be tougher than expected.
The humor in this book is awesome. Reading Coyrtney's blog posts had me in stitches laughing. She is beyond stubborn and does not give in easily. This book is definitely a must read.
