**He’s my older brother's friend and teammate. Off-limits, unavailable and forbidden.**
A brother's best friend college sports romance

There are times I wish I was someone other than the shy, geeky, college virgin that I am.
I also wish that my crush on Van Gerard wasn’t one sided and that he looked at me as something other than his best friend’s little sister.
But he’s firmly drawn the line in the friendship territory, even though there are times I think he might feel the same way about me. But then I remember that Van has a long-time girlfriend and we’re strictly in the friend zone.
But I want more.
So, when Van’s life is turned upside down, I’m there to comfort him. To break his fall. I’m his shoulder to cry on.
Even if he only considers me a rebound.

** Note: This book was previous titled "Sweet Girl." Same great story with a fresh new look.**

***3 "Too Sweet!!!" stars***

This book was an okay reading, but i didn't get over moon with it!!!

It had a cute storyline with two great heroes but the whole progress of the book was a little bit flat for me... and there was too much sweetness in there!!!
The heroine??? Sooo sweet....
The hero??? Also sweet....

Damn, i needed something more to rock my world!!!

Kylah was a sweet, low profiled, quiet, a little bit geeky girl who fell for one of her brother's friends who is taken... She is also very inexperience in heart matters...

Van had noticed Kylah, but he wouldn't do anything for that because of her brother and because he was in a 5 year relationship... He was a very decent guy, even though hot and a basketball player!!!

Those two came closer and they started to build a friendship, even though there was attraction between them.

Is there a chance they will become something more??? And with what cost???

As i told you above both Kylah and Van were too sweet....
I would love to see them act more dynamic... Both of them!!!

Van was like a lovestruck puppy all the time and i didn't like it at all!!!
As for Kylah.... she didn't want to call her sweet, but damn, she didn't do anything to change it!!!!

What i liked very much in this book was Carver and Kady!!!
They were full of life and sooo funny!!!

Their personalities were something that i was craving to see more about...

Ok so I kinda went a little crazy stalker after reading Sweetness and when I heard about Sweet Girl I HAD to get my grabby hands on it. But then I freaked out. What if it couldn’t live up to the standards I was expecting? What if Van wasn’t all that I thought he was going to be. What if him and Ky did something unforgivable?

I mean its Ky and Van. If you haven’t read the first one you absolutely could read this as a stand-alone, but having read the first one and having been introduced to Ky and Van I felt their connection but I also knew they were too sweet to ever let anything but friendship develop between them. So how did they get from Van’s long term relationship with his high school sweetheart to having their own story?

So I have to admit I fell hard for the sweet and sexy Van and I was so scared something was going to happen that would make me doubt him but damn did he only get better as we delved deeper into his layers. He was just beautiful and I loved every second of him.

Ky was as beautiful as the book title suggests. She was the sweetest, most caring, kind, wonderful woman ever and I absolutely adored watching her blossom as her friendship with Van grew and developed. The interaction between Ky and her family was fun to watch and I had a few laugh out loud moments at her hilarious twin sister, Kady.

This book was the perfect mix of sweetness (as you would expect) and heartbreak. I went from tears to sighs and right back again. I inhaled every word in one sitting and felt every emotion and it has just further cemented my love of Sierra Hill. I can’t wait for the next one, I really was hoping that it might be Kady’s story next but then I can’t say I am disappointed it is going to be Carver’s. Although I can already feel my stomach clenching wondering how that’s going to play out.

I can’t recommend this series enough so if you’re looking for a new adult, college romance this is it. If the basketball theme is throwing you off don’t panic the references are few and far between and you don’t need to know anything about the sport to enjoy this book. So go one click this one now. Honestly there are no excuses not to dive into this sweet series right now.

I loved this story, the main characters are so perfect for each other.

Kylah is a beautiful, shy, geeky girl.Van is a nice, affectionate guy who plays basketball with her big brother.
They met at her brother's apartment and they immediately are comfortable in each other's company, they starts a beautiful friendship that cannot be something more because Van has a girlfriend.
Will they let their love blossom?? Will her brother approve their relationship??
I recommend to read this book to find out.

I assure you that the love triangle is really mild but there is the risk to find a rebound fling.

Sweet Girl by Sierra Hill was one of those books that brought our the school girl giggles in me. Whether it was Kylah’s innocence, Van’s sweet words of affirmation, or the story of how they came to be, Hill effortlessly captured my attention with her story. Sweet Girl was definitely worth the read.

Sweet Girl is the second book in The Sweetest Thing series. You don’t have to read the first book at all to fall in love and keep up with Van and Kylah’s story. Although, I have to say if Hill’s first story is as good as this one, then you’ll be just like me and backing up to purchase Sweetness which focuses on Cade ( Kylah’s brother) and Ainsley, his grandfather’s home health nurse. In Sweet Girl, Hill gives us the story of sweet, innocent baby sister Kylah. She’s never dated, never had sex, and really never even had a real crush before. That is until she meets, Van. Van Gerard has had hoop hunnies chomping at the bit to get a piece of him the entire four years he has been playing basketball for ASU, but his devotion to his high school girlfriend Lyndsay has kept him clear and focused on her and nothing else, well until sweet and innocent Kylah proves to be more tempting that Van’s willing to admit. Will these two respect the boundaries set forth by their relationships? Or will temptation win out?

Hill does an excellent job of writing a story that you can get into. I literally read this book cover to cover in just a few hours. The characters were real, sweet, intriguing and so heartfelt. I immediately could grasp how these two were made for each other. Hill can also write one hell of a love scene. There were no awkward moments in this coming of age story. My only fault with this story was it’s editing. I truly, truly hope as I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review, that this book was still in the editing stages. There were several important mistakes in this book that made me cringe, most importantly the accidental usage of plutonic and platonic. That was the basis of the storyline. For that to be repeated incorrectly throughout the first part of the book, made me question was the book worth finishing when mistakes like that are fluent.

With all that being said, if I am to judge this book simply on story alone, I can easily say that Hill has it. She has created one heck of a story worth reading and you should pick it up as soon as it releases. Van and Kylah’s story is definitely a sweet one worth falling in love with.

I Voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book

I think I enjoyed this one much more than the previous one.

Kylah is a sweet, shy and nerdy kind of girl. And Van is the basketball player on her brother's team.
Kylah has been in love with Van since she met him, but one little problem Van already has a girlfriend and he is devoted to her. But even though she knows he has a girlfriend she can't help her feelings for him.
Van and Kylah become great friends. And they can talk to each other about anything. But when something happens in Van's life Kylah is the only one that can help him through it.

A story about love and romance and friends becoming more.

Kylah Griffin has always lived in the shadow of her athletic, older brother, and her twin sister, with the larger than life personality, but somehow, she was never resentful. She owns being called the gawky geek, and continues to just be herself. But the sweet virgin is the one label that she's been trying to get rid of, with not much luck. That is, until she meets her brother's friend Van. They become good friends, as he sees her for her, and seems to like what he sees. Kylah doesn't want to be friend zoned though, but she goes to college a bit far away, her overprotective brother, and his High School sweetheart are the bumps in the road, keeping her in the zone. Van Gerard thought senior year in college would be the best time in his life, but things didn't go so smoothly. When the plans for the future with his longtime girlfriend explode in his face, he snaps just a bit. Kylah had his back though, to save him while he was drowning. Van is gun shy now that he's been burned so severely, but he can't ignore the connection he has with Kylah. However, even with the big complications, will Van and Kylah take a chance on real love?

I have become a big fan girl of this author very quickly, and I just can't get enough of this series. The character development is great, with a hilariously, entertaining cast of secondaries that kept me laughing until I'm snorting like a pig. Van and Kylah's simmering chemistry made me anxious, and when it finally boiled over, the SIZZLING sexy scene goodness had me flushed. Sierra Hill has a very talented writing style that's so addictive, that I devour the story in one sitting, no matter how late it is. Kylah's story was so sweetly different compared to her brother's story, although no less intense, and just as amazing! Not to mention that I absolutely LOVED her t-shirt style! I cannot wait to read the next book in this series, but I just want to add that I'm not to proud to beg for Kady's story, as that twin is a pistol, and I NEED more of her, pretty pretty pretty please Sierra Hill, you sexy beast! So guess what folks, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sweet Girl to ALL!

OMG…. I don’t even know where to start! I kind of knew what I was getting into when I started this book, but I never knew how amazing this book was going to be! I’ll add this book to the list of books I just couldn’t put down. Kylah and Van while their relationship is complicated at best, it’s so intriguing. You root for them even though there’s a million obstacles standing in their way. Seriously one of my favorite reads to date!

This is my second book by Sierra Hill.

This is my first in the sweetest thing series.

And it won't be my last from Sierra Hill. I'm a huge fan of friends to lovers.
I loved the storyline Sierra gave. The tenderness she gave their romance. The love they shared through sweet girl. The title says it all.

If you are a fan of fun, sweet romance this is for you.

Four stars.

“friends to lovers 4 star”
Seriously from page one I liked where this story was going. I wanted Van and Kylah together like I want coffee in the morning. We learn Van has a girlfriend and it didn’t really sit well with me, but after a little bit I thought screw it, this could be a great one sided love story. Only to take that thought back a few pages later. Van and Kylah’s situation is realistic and I’m sure it happens more than we know.
Kylah wants Van like crazy, she will take him anyway she can have him. Even if it involves the awful title of friend. She's just the sweet girl most guys think of as a sister. All she wants is to be wanted and she wants to be wanted my Van.
Van has a long term girlfriend. He loves her even if she makes it incredibly difficult. Van has never been tempted to stray from Lyndsay, until Kylah. But it's something he would never act on right? Toss in Kylah’s brother is one of his best friends and its a relationship that will never happen.
When Lyndsay betrays Van in the worst possible way will Kylah become his rebound or his forever? Will the two be able to find their way to each other or are they destined to be apart?
The secondary characters are awesome. Kylah’s polar opposite twin Kady is a ball busting protector. Cade her older brother just wants her happy. Carver is a great friend to both Kylah and Van, and can I just say I cannot wait for his book.
Sweet Girl has a touch of sports (basketball) in the story, which I loved. I am a sucker for a good sports romance. But probably my favorite part of the story was Kylah’s transformation. She went from the awkward shy girl to a confident woman in her own skin.
Here are a few quotes that I liked from Sweet Girl;
“I would also be more than willing to learn how to make a voodoo doll and extol some harsh pain in Lyndsay’s keester.”
“Maybe I’m over-romanticizing this thing between us, but there is a deep connection we share – it’s been there like a magnetic pull since the first time I met her.”

Oh My Gosh. I l really enjoyed this book. This is another one I could not put down. It is 400 pages and I still read it in one go. Kylah a sweet girl and a great friend. Kylah is the little sister to his good friend and teammate. She comes over to her brothers place for the first time on fall break and meets Van. They form a friendship. She knows she isn’t anything he will want. Why you ask? Well she is quiet, shy, nerdy, oh and did I forget he has a girlfriend of five years. Kylah is also the the twin of very outgoing Kady.

When Van comes back from his recent visit from seeing his girlfriend, he feels things are off. He confides in Kylah and she is there for him. What Kylah doesn't know is that this week she is home Van starts to see Kylah differently. Van is three years ahead of Kylah in school. She is attending her freshman year in California and he is Arizona at ASU. Lyndsey, the girlfriend is in New Mexico. During that week they hang out watch GoT and talk about Marvel. Kylah decides to take matters into her own hands and she asks out Van to go to see a movie. He debates but he decides to go. When fall break hits that’s when it hits the fan for Van and the bottom drops out. He didn’t see some of it coming. His suspicions are then confirmed and now Kylah is there for him.

I loved reading the inner turmoil from both Van and Kylah. She feels she is too plain and he doesn't want to do anything long distance because of Lindsey. They had some communication issues, mostly Van.This is a feel good friends to lovers story. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Wow talk about drama, this book is filled with it. This drama though is oh so good. It makes this book hard to put down. It took me about a day to read it. I was pretty much hooked within the first few pages. I always thought van and his long time girlfriend would be the epic couple together. I'm glad they were not.

I quickly devoured this book as I have done wth the entire series. Sierra Hill continues with her theme is sugary sweetness between her leading characters Ky and Van and I LOVE it! These two are so perfect together because of their friendship, their bond is almost solid and you find yourself rooting for them from the beginning. I still can get over how perfect this read was. I read it in one day, made sure I had no plans because I could not put it down!

If you love a sweet romance on top of the friends to lovers genre like I do then you should pick this one asap! You can't go wrong with this author. Her writing is so smooth that you read for hours and it feels like minutes have passed because they stories are just so addicting!!

Original review: A Novel Glimpse

Sweet Girl was my favorite book in this series. Cade’s younger sister Kylah falls for his teammate Van. Things start out with a forbidden crush for Kylah as Van has a long distance girlfriend. When Van is betrayed, Kylah has the opportunity to go for her man. It was just super cute and sweet. It reminded me of first love and all of the things that come with it. I adored both Kylah and Van. (Oh, and Van lived in the same dorm I did in college! Talk about a blast from the past seeing its name in print.)

I really liked Van and Kylah together and I liked the story a lot.

This book, however, (like book one in the series) had some editing issues that threw me out of the story. Worst offender? Plutonic. They were plutonic friends. Really? Plutonic? PLATONIC! *sigh*

Sweet Girl is just what you'd expect from Sierra Hill (especially if you've already read her first book in the series Sweetness). It's not only sweet, but a whole lot of sexy and fun.

Van, oh sweet Van. The hot basketball player who's not a player at all. He's sensitive and swoon worthy.
He bends down and kisses my temple –the same kiss that started this whole night. “I want you to stay.” He kisses me again, this time on the cheek. “In my bed.” Now he kisses the corner of my mouth. “With me. All night.” Then he captures my mouth in a searing kiss that I feel all the way down to my toes. “Okay.” I whisper, wrapping my arms around his waist and pulling him flush against my chest.

Oh, and did I mention sweet???
"Ky, we are friends. But then all of a sudden, we became more. I fought myself the entire way because I didn’t want to mess it up with you. I like you too much. My feelings for you were all over the board. One minute I want to kiss you…to sleep with you…and the next, I’m telling myself that I can’t do it. I can’t get into another relationship this fast.” She stops me. “I don’t expect a relationship, Van. Honestly. I just…I want you however I can get you.” I reach for her hand and bring it to my heart. “You’re not a hook-up, Ky. And we’re not meant to be friends with benefits. We’d be fooling ourselves to think there’s not more here…because I feel it. I think about you every second of the day. I can’t get you out of my head.

Ky is a great leading lady. She's not as tough and feisty as Ainsley, the MC in Sweetness. She's innocent but with a good head on her shoulders. She's a confidante for Van and their relationship develops slowly. And though she harbors a crush on him, everything happens how it should happen.

And then you get Cade, the protective brother. You can never have too much Cade. If you haven't met Cade, you should pick up Sweetness for his story.

And lastly, Carver. Cannot wait for Carver's book next. His one liners were hysterical. Actually, every scene with him was over the top and entertaining.
She asked for sex advice.” I choke out a cough. Wasn’t expecting that. “And exactly what advice did you give her?” I pick up a couple of hand weights and begin some bicep curls, curious as to their conversation about sex. “Well, initially I told her that her best bet was just to fuck me because she wouldn’t get a better experience anywhere else.”

This is part of a series but can definitely be read as a standalone. I say it with every Sierra Hill book. You will not be disappointed by her writing style or her story. This is another great read that reminds you what it feels like to fall in love with the guy of your dreams, no matter how unattainable.

This book is a standalone in the Sweet Series. Each book is about a different set of characters, but you do see prior characters in here which is nice. What do you do when everyone sees you as just a Sweet Girl or Cade's little sister and are entering college still a virgin? Just ask Kylah.
Kylah and Kady are identical twins, but could not be more night and day. Where one is spunky and outgoing (Kady) the other is shy, more reserved and sweet (Kylah). Cade and Kylah put together give their parents a run for the money so when Kylah does something out of the ordinary it's funny, but sweet cause its still so mild compared to what her siblings would do.
Kylah is home on break from college and is crushing on her brothers friend, Van. One problem ok, a few hehe. He has a girlfriend, he has tons of girls vying for his attention since he plays basketball, her brother would not agree with them being together and she has no experience what so ever when men.
Van is in a long term relationship with the only girl he's ever been with (high school sweetheart), but there's just something not right with this long distance relationship between them. He puts forth all the effort and Lindsay is seeming sketchy. oh boy the bomb that occurs in this is crazy. We usually see it happening the other way around so it was nice seeing it this way. From the moment he sees, Kylah at Cade's house they spark. They become friends and leave it at that until the bomb changes things and they may just get a chance to be together. The question is do they come out of the friend zone or not? What would Cade do if he found out? So many questions you ask, but we find out as well.
We see sweet moments, tearing moments, gasping moments and wth moments in this book. Van just may get his wish when it comes to Kylah. Who can say no to a sweet girl with a devil hiding inside her. Loved the ending.
I'm excited for the next book, though I was kinda hoping it was going to be Carver and Kady cause both of them are a cause for explosion with their personalities, but I was wrong. At least we get a story on Carver, cause he is a nut job and hilarious so I can only imagine the secrets he hides so well.

Sweet girl was an extremely sweet read that was about two people who became friends and soon became something more. I enjoy the way that the characters first became friends before they started a relationship because it showed the connection that the two characters clearly had. I enjoyed the way that the book really showed the emotions and struggles that both characters were experiencing in their lives.

The main character Van was a really nice guy that was very respectful towards the other main character Kylah. Van had his struggles within the book over breaking up with his high school girlfriend and when he realised he had feelings for Kylah. However, I liked the way that despite these feelings he still remained friends with Kylah. There was a time were I did yell at the book for Van being a jerk towards Kylah, but it warmed my heart at the way he made it up to her.

Kylah was a sweet character despite not liking being called sweet, she really was a sweet and kind person who was there for Van during his heartbreak of breaking up with his girlfriend. She really cared about everyone and I felt I connected with the character a lot. The way the author wrote the characters point of view showed the struggles that she has with her feelings with Van. It showed within the story how Kylah had proper feelings for Van and it was sweet to see them develop further.

Sweet girl was about Kylah a twin that always been placed in the shadows because of her outgoing twin and sport champion brother. She is always seen as a sweet girl and wanted to escape being seen as that. She feels an immediate connection to her brother friend Van, the problem is he already has a girlfriend. Sweet girls sees the relationship between Van and Kylah form in a sweet way.

Overall I thought this was a sweet read that I enjoyed very much. I liked the way that the book was written from both characters points of view because readers were able to see the struggles that both characters have throughout the story.

Upon receiving this book, I instantly bought book 1 in the series so I can familiarize myself with the characters.  Sweet Girl by Sierra Hill is book 2 in this series and I loved it!  After reading book 1, I knew I was going to go into this book already loving the characters, and the storyline!

In Sweet Girl, we learn more about Kylah Griffin, Cade Griffins younger sister who is also a twin.  Kylah is the shy, nerdy one of the twins and is extremely shy when it comes to boys.  Granted, she hangs around at her brothers apartment when shes home from college on breaks, but she still gets the flushed, embarrassed face when any boys talk to her.  The one boy she can manage to be herself around is Van and hes off limits since he has a girlfriend.

Van is a senior at ASU and a fellow basketball player with Cade.  Hes tall and super sexy and has caught the eye of a very shy girl.  He has had a serious girlfriend for the past 5 years, but he feels something is off in his relationship.  Kylah is the one girl he clicks with and she understands him, but hes faithful to his girlfriend, even if he has sexy thoughts about Kylah!  When things take a change for Van and his relationship, Kylah is the one girl who can help him see what hes been missing.

Kylah and Van were my favorite characters from this series so far!  They are both super sweet and caring, it makes you wanna tell the author to put something bad about them in the book.  Van is so loyal to anyone, it makes him such a flawless person!  The sexiness between these two characters was amazing, and Sierra can definitely give you a love scene that would make the sheets melt off your bed!

4.5 solid stars on this book for me!  Im super glad I bought book 1, Sweetness, because I cannot wait to her more from these characters!!!

Before you start this one you will need to make sure you have plenty of time because it is a long book and once you get started you won’t want to put it down.
This wasn’t just a book it was a connection, a story that took its time to develop but that once it got its sneakers on, it was off and running.
I wasn’t sure that I could trust Van at first he seemed a little too worldly for Kylah. Friends with her brother, they were an unlikely alliance, they had a friendship that I wasn’t sure was heading anywhere initially but after a visit to his girlfriend, it is then that Kylah becomes not only his friend but his confidante. It is then that Van realises that there is something special between him and Kylah, something that could under different circumstances be more than friendship, something more than either of them could have anticipated, if it ever had the chance to flourish.
Van brought out a different side to Kylah, she was normally a quiet, fairly, shy girl but she could be more forthcoming with Van that she had ever been before and I loved that about the connection they had, it was obvious that when his suspicions came to fruition later in the fall that it was Kylah that was going to be there to pick up the pieces.
They both had their own problems to deal with and at times I thought that they were going to be too far off the mark to make any headway, but once they got down to communicating properly with each other they never looked back.
This lived up to its name, it was a story about a sweet girl that found her man, it was romantic in the nicest possible way. It took me on a journey with them both that covered the full range of emotions, it was full to the brim with not only love and passion but also heartbreak and anger.

5 Stars!

Sierra Hill became a fast favorite and watch for author with book one in this series. And now she is back with the next. Sweet Girl was just that... a sweet romance that made my heart full and left me with a big smile on my face. This book was an easy and fast read that gave me butterflies and had me flipping the pages as fast as I can. This author took me on a journey that had love, loss, heartbreak, anger, sadness, pain, and lust.

Kylah and Van are friends. She's been friend zoned by him since she found out he was taken by his high school sweetheart. She pines for him and her heart races when he's around but she buries her feelings and hides her emotions.

And then it all changes. But they have more obstacles than they realize.

He is one of her brother's best friends. He goes to a different college in a different state. Van may want Kylah but that is a whole lot of complicated for his mended broken heart. He swore he wouldn't act on his desires. He swore they would just be friends and not cross aline. But when you find a sweet girl like Kylah, you hold on as tight as you can.

Get ready for a story full of passion and romance. Get ready to swoon and fall in love all over again as these two find sometimes everything happens for a reason.

Sweet Girl was the PERFECT addition this crazy addictive series.

I highly recommend this book.

I absolutely adored this book,…I saw it on netgalley and the cover first drew me in then I read the synopsis and I was like I have to have this..
This book had the perfect mix of fun, sweet, heartache and sexy times in it.. I soooo loved Van and Kylah (Ky)..
Kylah is this sweet, shy, kinda dorky (in her own way) girl.. Van is a star basketball player on her brothers team.. and he is spoken for.. Has had a longtime (long-distance) girlfriend for 5 yrs.. and has been faithful no matter what… that’s just who he is..
While Kylah is home on break she is spending lots of time at her brother’s house.. chillin and watching tv with him and his friends.. *enter Van* Now Kylah knows he has a girlfriend and she shouldn’t be thinking about him or fantasizing about him like that but she can’t help it.
Van and Ky become fast friends.. he is one of the few she can talk to and be herself.. and she is one of the few he can talk to and share his feeling with.. So when Van receives some shattering info and his world seems to just fall to pieces right in front of him.. Ky is there to help him..
From here on is when the attraction for Ky and Van just skyrockets… I love how they still took their time…. And I just loved her twin sister Kady.. she was a hoot.. Hope she gets her own book.. I would love to see someone tame her.. Maybe just maybe ……

Kylah has always been the wallflower.. living in the shadows of her super athletic brother and her outgoing twin sister... she has always been the quiet one.. and she doesn't mind it at all... boys usually don't take a second glance at her and this is how she has been able to remain pure... that is until she meets Van and she is ready to throw all of that out the window..

Van has been in a relationship with is HS sweetheart most of his teen years and now through college.. but the long distance relationship is killing their love... when Van meets Kylah he sees her as his buddy's little sister... a sister he has a lot in common with.. someone he can see himself spending a lot of time with...

After a night of a check in phone call.. and a conversation that turned HOT super quick they are both ready to take it to the next level... but will Kylah's virginal insecurities and Van's anger towards his now ex interfere with true love??

Sweet Girl is book 2 of the series and it can be read as a standalone... I would recommend reading both books just because you can see more insight on this continuing story! I would love to read a story with Kylah's twin sister... with a man that can handle her craziness and more.. !!

Sweet Girl is about a girl and a guy. It alludes to them knowing each other a long time, but really this starts after about a week. There is attraction. One is a virgin, her. and one has a girlfriend, him. They meet through her brother, his teammate.

It is a little predictable. It does contain a lot of "thought" dialog that is dirtier thoughts essentially. It almost seems like it should be geared toward young adult with the maturity level of the main characters, but with the age, it is probably geared toward new adult. It is descriptive and dirty, if you like those, this is your book. If not, may want to steer clear.

I didn't really connect with either, or any character actually. Kylah was immature and not upfront. Who gets yourself into a situation where a level of trust is expected and not upfront? Van is also immature and bounces from one relationship to the other without much of a breather. Van's ex-girlfriend is a piece of work. Who requests dinner and to drive to somewhere secluded to talk, especially a spot that until this held only good memories. She should have said her piece in the driveway, or gone to him.

I received a free copy of this novel from NetGalley for an honest review.

This is my third book in Sierra Hill’s The Sweetest Thing Series and I liked the first 2, but I LOVED this one. A friends to lovers romance with a slow burn and explosive chemistry that sucked me in immediately. Great read.

4 Stars!

"I need Kylah’s friendship to sooth the hurt that’s growing like a weed in my heart."

Omg!!! Holy hotness alert!!!! If you're looking for a steamy read just one click this and your set! I promise you won't be disappointed! I think the best scene was when Van and Kylah are intimate for the first time and they didn't even have sex. Just something about their connection and the way the author wrote it, was hot as heck! Lol. In addition to their steamy sessions, they were really cute together. Van was a great guy, and I liked the way he was with Kylah. Another thing that I really liked about the story, was that it didn't have too much drama. Yes, there was some, but I liked that it didn't get out of hand causing the drama to drag on for half the story. It happened, it was dealt with, and then they moved on which is what I like!

I'm really looking forward to reading Carver's story next and finding out about his past! He definitely peeks my interest, and I think his story will be entertaining as well!

I really really really enjoyed this book. It was my first in the series, but I wasn't confused or anything. Sweet girl is about Kylah who has always been labeled the sweet girl, because of her personality. While home on break....she meets one of her brother's teammates and friends...Van.

Van is a star basketball player, he has a long term long distance girlfriend who he has been faithful too no matter what, but when he meets Kylah he loves spending time with her. She's become one of his best friends.

When Van's world falls apart Kylah helps him even though she has her own crush on him. It's a sweet read that makes you want to hug both of them. I really enjoyed it and hope everyone gives this a chance.
