Drake and Karen had wonderful chemistry, and their story was a lot of fun, once they actually got together. Their first real interaction wasn't until about 40% into the book, and for me this messed up the pacing of the story, as their relationship, and the resolution of the other events, seemed a lot faster than the first part of the story.

There was also a lot of additional stuff going on around the central couple, with a difficult family history, issues with the local police, etc. which I found to be a little distracting. I get that he was from a large family, with 6 sisters as was often pointed out, but giving each of them time, and mention, in the story left me feeling like the narrative was pulled in a lot of different ways.

The lack of the focus in the narrative as well as the time it took to get the main characters together made this feel uneven from the beginning to the end and resulted in a narrative that felt forced and pacing that seemed very uneven.

There were small appearances of other characters who were from other books, and while there were some moments with the characters, nothing that I would consider to be a spoiler or something that would keep this from being a standalone.

This was a fun romantic suspense read. I really liked the interactions between Drake and Karen, and Drake and everyone else. His sisters were a hoot, giving him grief.

I had no idea this series existed before and this is book 9. I'm going to have to go back and check out some of the others in the series since I enjoyed this so much.

Her Dominant SEAL is the ninth book in the Midnight Delta series by Caitlyn O'Leary and this is actually the first book I'm reading in the series and by the author. While I really liked the book, this was maybe a little tamer than I'm used to. I don't really mind that but I think, because the title had the word 'dominant', I was a little surprised by it and I kept waiting for it to get spicier. However, I got a really sweet romance with a good dose of suspense that I enjoyed a lot. You also get a lot of the other characters from previous books popping in and see the potential for future books which is something I usually gravitate towards when I read series so I may very well go back and check it out from the beginning.

Drake Avery is very protective towards his sisters and really the whole book revolves around him trying to keep them safe. The romance itself sort of takes a back seat in the book. As a matter of fact, we don't meet Karen until over 20% into the book which was different for me. The love was more like, she sees how overprotective he is and she finds it hot, especially when she does it to her and they sort of gravitate towards each other and at some point they fell in love with another, have hot sex 90% into the book (the one and only time) and then we get an epilogue. I wanted a little more time as a couple and have the romance build. The suspense was so good though and I really dug the characters. The banter was funny and Drake's sister Eva was feisty so I really hope to see her have her own book.

3.5/5 Light Romance, Lots of suspense.

Drake Avery is called back home after his 16 year old sister Piper calls him at night for help. He hasn’t been home for 12 years and it is time. Time to face his demons. Saving his sister and being framed for a crime he didn’t commit as he sent his father to jail. He returns home.

Not having time for love it hits him anyway in the form of a kindergarten teacher.

Karen Eastman has heard a lot about Drake. She comes from Alaska to get away from her overprotective brothers and father and meets a dominant SEAL. Got to be honest here. I didn’t quite see where he is dominant but okay.

In the end is team comes in to support him and there is action packed with a punch. I really enjoyed this book there is a great plot with great characters. I had a lot of fun reading about Drake and Karen. The story flows in the right direction and I like the author’s writing style.

What I didn’t like where the six sisters specifically Eve who was a bickering and it got on my last nerve as well as the instalove between the main characters after five days.

Which leads me to backtracking and starting the series from the beginning as this is book 9 in the series.

Piper, the youngest of the six sisters of Navy SEAL Drake Avery calls for help and he returns to Tennessee to rescue her and her other sisters from their parents.

Their dad was released from prison early and none of the family was notified so when he showed up at the family home Piper escaped out a bedroom window.

With the help of sister Evie, they find a safe house for the girls and more SEALs come to help figure out what good old dad, the rest of the family and his gang of thugs are up to. Beside wanting Piper dead for some reason, his father is manufacturing drugs, bringing them in from Mexico and getting involved with Neo-Nazi group from Kentucky.

One of Piper's teachers becomes a target when her father can't locate her; Drake makes to to Karen Eastman's house in time to rescue her from two of his father's thugs. Karen is a kindergarten teacher in a class where Piper is earning credits for high school as her assistant. Karen takes on Drake and makes him Her Dominant SEAL as she learns taking orders from him makes her feel loved.

The SEALs take on the drug dealing group under Drake's father, they plan each encounter as a mission so the bad guys don't know what hit them against the highly trained SEALs. The house full of bossy women and hard headed SEALs determined to protect them along with a three year old niece to add a special kind of humor makes for a wonder novel full of hot men and women to match.

You Just Gotta Love Drake

All it took was a call from his youngest Sister Piper, and Drake WS pedal to the metal on his way home.
It has been more then ten years since he was forced out of town by then crooked law, but he kept track of his family the best he could, while keeping them a secret from his team. But the shit is about to hit the fan for this Knight in Seal Armor. As his brothers in arms come alongside to help save his family, things as he knew it will never be the same.
This incredible story of an older brother who does everything he can to help his sisters as much as he can is utterly emotional. The reunion even at the risk they take I heartbreaking. The love the siblings share is so intense. I love how he just about melts when he meets his match in Karen, and the love between him and all of his sisters. This emotional rollercoaster has intense ups and downs with moments where you swear you are there. The amount of emotions this story raises in its reader, is a testament to the incredible writing of this Author. Well Done!!

When Drake returns to his home town to rescue his youngest sister, little does he know that his life will change forever. Karen is a kindergarten teacher who is determined to help and protect Piper and her family as much as she can. When Karen is attacked, Drake rushes to her rescue. This story includes lots of action, danger, fear, betrayal, romance and love. I just couldn’t put it down.

Her Dominant SEAL (Midnight Delta #6) by Caitlyn O'Leary

M/F Thriller Romance
Triggers: Drug abuse, Gangs, Prison time, attempted murder
I am using my own personal copy for the bring your own book for Wicked Reads.

This is the first in the series that I've read and I never felt that I was missing anything. I'm sure there are characters that show up in previous books, but this one explained who everyone was.

This is a story about love of family, friends and falling in love. It was not at all what I expected.

While I loved the banter between siblings, I found that their story was so much more compelling than the story between Karen and Drake. While I enjoyed the chemistry and banter between Drake and Karen a lot, it felt, at times, disjointed.

Drake's protection of his siblings is admirable. He is also so disgusted with where he came from that it's hard for him to come clean with his best brothers in arms. Despite what they have been able to figure out about him, his friends are there when he calls.

All in all, I enjoyed the story a lot. The action in the story was fast paced and planned, the relationships were complex without being over done.

I can't wait to see what else happens and I am looking forward to going back and reading the previous books.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Her Dominant Seal is the ninth book in the Midnight Delta series. It can definitely be read as a standalone. This was my first book by Caitlyn O'Leary and I absolutely loved it! It had a touch of insta-love without feeling forced or rushed.

“We’ve only known each other a few days, Mr. Avery, and it feels like so much longer. You scare me.” He brought her hand to his lips. “No, I don’t. And that’s what really scares you.”

Navy SEAL Drake Avery receives a phone call that sends him back to his home in Tennessee. He must protect his six younger sisters while getting to the bottom of the threats against them. With his mind on the dangers of the situation, he is taken by surprise when his youngest sister's tutor, a kindergarten teacher, gets under his skin and into his heart.

“Your love will make it better.”
“I don’t see how it can.”
“It’s made all the difference for me.” Green and gold eyes shimmered up at him.
“I hope to hell it has. It’s all I have to give, and it isn’t much.”

This book has tons of action and suspense and a sweet romantic storyline with an awesome protective alpha hero who knows what he wants when he finds it and isn't afraid to stake his claim!

“How about this, no matter how pale you get, your lips are still strawberry red and you biting them right now just makes them more swollen and kissable.”
It no longer hurt to breathe, because she was no longer breathing. She stared up into eyes so brown they were black. He looked like a fallen angel, and God help her, he could talk like one too."

I loved the touches of humor sprinkled throughout this book! I am now a big Caitlyn O'Leary fan and I can't wait to read more. Maybe go back and discover the rest of the Midnight Delta SEAL team stories.
5 Stars from this newest fan!

"Karen took a step closer and knocked on the body armor.
“Take this off.”
"Okay.” He grinned. “Wanna see my boo-boo?”
“Is that what men are calling it these days?”
"Just SEALs.”

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

Another seriously AMAZING book in the Midnight Delta Series by Miss Caitlyn O' Leary. After several books, we finally get Drake's story and oh boy, his book had me hungerly turning page after page. His commanding presence and his domineering ways I find exceptionally sexy and after learning about his past, yep, he became even SEXIER and I honestly didn't think that could happen. His protectiveness and his caring toward his sisters awes me and I swear, I sighed so many times, I think my husband thought something was wrong with me!

Drake Avery won me over from the moment I first met him in Her Vigilant SEAL but when I read his story, I am not only in love with him but lusting after him hot and heavy. His sisters are just as commanding and fun and sassy and you will no doubt find it entertaining as I did. And then we meet the woman that stole Drake's heart and I tell you, I FREAKING LOVE Her...almost as much as Drake! She is curvy, sassy, has a beautiful heart and perfect for Drake...and did I mention she is curvy? Yes, as you can sense, I LOVE curvy heroines and the fact that Drake loves Karen's curves too just made me love him all the harder. Her Dominant SEAL is full of adventure, action, suspense, sexy alpha males and wonderfully spirited heroines. This book deserves A FREAKING TEN!

Since I am actually unable to give this book a ten stars, I will happily give it the second best, which is an AMAZINGLY SEDUCTIVE FIVE SHOOTING STARS! If you love your hero to be a alpha military man who knows how to take care of himself, his sisters, AND his woman, than I KNOW you will love this book!

When you read a Midnight Delta story, you’re guaranteed a fast paced, intensely gripping plot, that’s jam-packed with suspense, action and romance. Spine tingling expectation and excitement builds throughout this story, and keeps readers on the edge of their seat till the last page is turned. Each scene is written in such vivid detail, that the images practically jump off the pages and the energy and emotions of the characters are felt deep within your soul.

Ms O’Leary has once again demonstrated her ever-growing talent with HER DOMINANT SEAL, as this is a story filled with long kept secrets, unexpected twists and surprises, and coordinated events that ensure there is never a dull moment throughout the entire book.

While we all have our favourite characters, there’s no denying this series has continued to get better and better with every story written, and has kept me coming back with the promise of a one-sitting read that I know I won’t put down till the very end.

I am a sucker for Military Romance so I thought that on that basis alone I would love Her Dominant Seal but sadly that was not the case. I had a really hard time getting into this one and even when it finally picked up I still found myself getting distracted easily. The title truly says it all in this case. I felt that Drake was just way over the top with his macho man vibe and frankly I found him repulsive. I don't know why anyone in the world would want a man that abrasive. A little bit of abrasiveness goes a long way! I loved Ms. Eastman. She is a very likable character because she will stand by those she cares about even when things get down right nasty. I also loved how the Avery family banded together in the face of evil. It was nice to see strong supportive family. I, however, didn't like insta love in this, it seemed forced or something. I couldn't really tell you what but it just didn't sit right. It was a great story line and I feel that it could have been truly amazing but it just simply fell flat for me.

What a great feel good book. I love a Navy seal and when you put him with a kindergarten teacher (swoon). Drake is protective, dominate, and a bad a&$. He doesn't put up with anyone's crap, and will so what ever he needs to keep his baby sister safe. He also has a great set of sisters that kick a&%too. I loved Karen! She is so amazing.

I only wish I had read Caitlyn O'Leary's other books. This is a wonderful book, and you don't need to have read the other books in the series.

**Disclaimer: I highly recommend reading this series in order.**

Drake, a SEAL, hasn't been home since he was eighteen and told to never come back. Not being there for his six younger sister, not seeing them in person for twelve years, has broken his heart, but as his Mom agreed with him not returning, he stayed away. But when Piper, the youngest at sixteen, calls, terrified, he knows nothing will stop him from going home now and dealing with the mess their father created after just being released from prison. Piper, it seems, witnessed their Dad committing murder amd testified against him. Now that he's out, he's looking for her.

Karen, a kindergarten teacher, is happy to help her teacher's aide, Piper, by picking up her homework from the school she's missing and drop it off. Karen isn't at all put off by Drake's attitude and knows full well the situation Piper is currently dealing with. As Karen also tutors her, she's agreed to be the go between for Piper and her high school teachers. Karen is touched by the concern Drake shows for not only his sisters' safety, but also for her.

When Karen calls Drake, scared because someone is breaking into her house, Drake immediately heads to protect her and when he sees she's hurt, he realizes she's gotten to him and he'll do whatever is necessary to protect her. As for Karen, though she swore off dating men like her overprotective Alpha brothers, she's intrigued by, not to mention attracted to, Drake.

As Drake, and a few of his teammates, work toward protecting Karen and his sisters, they're also looking into what his Dad is currently involved in, and what part his Mom plays in it. During this time, Karen, as she's staying with Drake and his sisters for her safety, and Drake grow closer, realizing they've found something special in such a bleak time. Both are taking it a day at a time as the situation is so precarious, but they know this is it, they've found their one. But first, they've got a criminal ring to take down.

What are Drake's parents engaging in? Who all is involved? Why are they after his sister, Piper? How far reaching are their plans? Can anyone in a position of authority be trusted? Can Drake and his friends keep everyone safe? Is Drake himself safe? How can Drake and Karen continue their relationship when they live in two different states that are very far apart? Is there a happy ending for the Avery siblings? Will Drake and Karen get a HEA?

One-click now and follow along as Drake returns home, reuniting with his sisters, and discovering a love that will overcome anything. While this book didn't contain the same pace as the others suspense wise, I think it was the perfect way to let us see the true Drake and why he is the way he is. His usual attempts that tend to result in his foot seemingly going in his mouth, sideways, is a direct result of spending his life protecting and taking care of his younger sisters. It was also nice seeing Aiden again and I like that it seems he'll be more visible in future books, at least for the foreseeable future. Also, I have a feeling Aiden's story is going to involve Drake's sister, Evie. If she'll ever forgive his attempt at a joke which did not have the desired effect and in fact hurt. He needs to prove himself to her and quickly.

Her Dominant Seal is the 9th book in the Midnight Delta series, but can be read as a standalone. I am a Caitlyn O'Leary newbie and was so glad I read this book. It was suspenseful, passionate, overwhelming, and an enjoyable insta-love read. Drake lived every day remembering his past and it was time to come face to face with his present.

Drake Avery wasn't always a strong, sexy, and skillfully Navy SEAL. He grew up in a broken household. The only good thing he had were his sisters. He did and would always be their protector. A fight and a few allegations later, Drake was faced with a choice. That choice led him to join the Navy. He had to leave the only family he cared about and hadn't seen them in years. A phone call from his sister had him catching the first flight to Tennessee. Would he make it in time?

Being back in his hometown was surreal, but he needed to get to his sisters. In all the drama, he met one hell of a woman in Karen Eastman. She was a kindergarten teacher who was pretty but didn't know it. After hearing so much about the infamous Drake Avery, he was even dreamier in person. She was captivated and so was he. Was it love? It couldn't happen that quickly..right?

Karen was intelligent and so brave. She knew the drama that was in the Avery's lives. But she wasn't the type of woman to walk away. She couldn't, especially since she was Team Drake ;) Things were always unexpected ever since Drake returned home and Karen knew first hand the pain it could bring. When she needed him most, Drake was there. Their love for each other grew by the minute. So, who would admit it first?

It usually takes me a while to get into a SEAL book, but Her Dominant Seal was addicting. I was hooked and on the edge of my seat..okay edge of my bed ;) I loved getting to meet Drake and Karen. It was hot when Drake went into protector mode and when he was acting silly with his sisters. Karen always made an awkward situation feel less so. She had a calming way about her that I feel made her Drake's perfect match. Love was new to both of them, but they instantly knew when they had it. They were brave because they gave their love a chance evn when they were afraid to. I give this 5 stars. Caitlyn O'Leary made me love a SEAL book, and that is hard to do :)

Okay off to binge reading more of her books.

XOXO,
Perfectly Perez

I stinkin' LOVED this story! Drake, the overly bossy and overly protective man met his match in the sweet and sassy Karen. And they are absolute perfection for each other!

I loved getting to go back to Tennessee and dive into Drake's history, as much as it was a heartbreaking mess. But there was an equal amount of absolute beauty with the devotion and love shown between Drake and his six sisters. I think once you truly know more of Drake's past, you understand better and even crave more of his overbearing protectiveness and feel the safety that it provides. I adored how he simply connected with Karen and knew she was his from the first moment he laid eyes on her, and treated her that way from that point forward.

Karen's a kindergarden teacher with the perfect amount of sugar and spice that Drake needs in his life. Sweet and innocent but yet strong and capable, she needs Drake's kind of presence in her life and can give him the redemption and security he needs in return. I loved how strong and easy they were together.

Drake's sisters were a handful and I adored each of them - and I'm hoping that someday we get more of their stories! They deserve it after the way they grew up! But the overwhelming thing that sticks out for me is the intense bond they all had despite the distance and maybe even because of the family secrets. This makes me wish for an older brother... although I think I'm good with the sister I have! lol Not sure we need 4 more of us.

The bond of the friendship between Mason and Drake continues to stand out as a godsend for both of them. Throw in the other guys on the team and the brotherhood - having each other's backs and accepting who they are - still stays strong. And they still crack me up with their jokes.

I'm looking foward to Evie and Aiden's story next... talk about some sparks!

I love that I have yet another CO'L book to add to my favorites shelf - definitely not one to miss out on! And while this can be read as a stand alone, I gotta admit, reading the series through in order has made this world come alive around me, and that's a treasure.

I love the men(And their women) of Midnight Delta!

One thing I noticed about Caitlyn O'Leary is she really knows how to bring her macho hot Navy SEALs to life! And better yet she has a way of making you love them despite all that testosterone, over-protective posturing. Especially in Her Dominant SEAL, Drake Avery who in every other book opens his mouth and makes every other woman hate him, now makes sense as you meet his 6, yes 6 sisters, and the woman who ultimately brings him to his knees. I love how Caitlyn puts it through the words of her female protagonist,"...When Drake was protective she felt cherished. When her family treated her like this she wanted to scream. He was like a warm blanket that she wanted to wrap herself in." That is exactly the feeling a well-loved woman gets when surrounded by her alpha male. I know because I married a man just like Drake and the rest of his team. My man can also be an overbearing domineering a-hole but makes me feel like I am wearing my favorite most comfortable jeans. Caitlyn O'Leary has perfect word craft needed to bring these strong male AND female characters to life. She is a master at developing 3-D characters. Her stories have a way of drawing you completely in, like to an alternate reality, so that you feel like you are really there a part of the unfolding drama. The sex is very steamy but is an intricate part of the story, enhancing the story instead of overwhelming. She also includes an edge of your seat suspense that again is so real, you find yourself holding your breath until you are sure everyone has survived. Which is funny since by now I know that every novel Caitlyn writes has no cliffhangers and always includes a happily ever after! Midnight Delta Series is a fabulous read and as the novels are available on Kindle Unlimited, making it easy to binge on the whole series at once! Very worth the time to read!

Medal Winning Brother, and oh yeah, SEAL.
Drake had just returned from a mission and was resting up like the rest of his team when he got the phone call. A soft female voice he almost didn't recognize, Piper, his youngest of six sisters. He didn't know what it was but he was up and grabbing his bag as they spoke. It had been too many years since he'd been back. They were in trouble and the people causing it didn't know trouble but they were about to.

The little town was not his favorite place. He'd left and joined the Navy. The other option wasn't acceptable. He expected to be treated like an exile. There were surprises in store for him. One, a little package of dynamite in charge of a room full of five-year-olds. Watching Karen handle the big bad SEAL as easily as she handled those kids was not only hysterical but when his guys show up to help out, they loved it too--at least until she took them to task as well. Then there was the tiny little niece, the one who was likely to become a millionaire, she had him from, “Unka Dwake?”

Drake and Aiden, and eventually some more of the team, had a lot to deal with but they were SEALs. When the enemy couldn't get at his sisters, they went for the woman who had him thinking things he swore would never be in his life he had to remember he wasn't on a sanctioned mission, and holding back from lethal retribution was difficult. With his team and family around him, Drake finds a whole new mission in life.

From my first Caitlyn O'Leary book, I knew she would become a favorite author for me. Strong female characters with a soft side that is sometimes a puzzle for the strong, alpha heroes, storylines that are all new, exciting and passionate. I only ask one thing, please don't ask me to pick my favorite O'Leary book because they are all my favorites.

I've been reading the series. In this book, we've met both the hero and heroine in the past books. The hero is a SEAL with another team of the heroine's brother. The hero and the heroine's brother work together but anything personnel is not really tolerated. Of course, it doesn't help that the hero and heroine had something happen while the heroine's brother saved the family in Book 8 of the series.

This time the heroine is taking some time out for a rest with some friends and they decide to go to Europe. While there the heroine is kidnapped but manages to get out a message before she's taken. Once the message is transferred and given to her brother and, in turn, the hero, the immediately set off only for the brother to get called home when he's needed there urgently.

The hero is off with the brother's threat ringing in his ears. He slowly tracks her down using both teams information. However, the kidnappers decide to get rough before they rescue her. They bring her home and there recovers with the help of the hero.

The bad guys end up tracking her down and found she was pretty protected so they end up going after the rest of the family. At this point, I would be really wishing I wasn't related to the family so I wouldn't be worried about stuff like this happening to me, but it could be just me.

However, the hero makes sure the bad guys won't ever be doing anything to her again and protects her. However, has the heroine had enough? Will she admit to her feelings and make the hero hers forever?

I could really relate to how the hero and heroine both feel within this book.

What melted me was Drake’s love for his family. When his sister called he dropped everything and came to her. He went back to a town that was toxic to him and for him and was there for her and his other sisters.

Drake’s past was painful. His mother and father terrible people and him and his sister’s paid the price. He ended up a Seal thanks to one judge who wanted to help save him. Who saw the good in him and the bad in the situation. So Drake left the town. But he never left his sisters or stopped helping his mother. A mother that didn’t care about anyone but her horrible husband. Her children were nothing but paychecks to her. Terrible.

Now years after Drake has been gone he is back and protecting those that he loves. But also trying to end the toxicity that has invaded this town. His brothers in arms are there to help to. And these guys are great together. I love their camaraderie and loyalty. Not sure what is up with his sister and one of them but hoping we get a story there.

In the mist of dealing with his past and those demons, trying to rid the town of the toxicity that is his father and the law and protecting his sisters, Drake meets the woman who takes his heart and owns him. He meets the stubborn teacher Karen. And when she pulls out the teacher voice all of the Seals take notice and listen it is so funny. She helps him see that he is a good guy but also that love is in his future. She also helps him to see his family in a different light. He begins to listen to all of their opinions and see that Evie is competent. He relies on Evie more and I think Karen helped him open his eyes to her. Their attraction wow heats up the kindle. the pull they have and the banter of stubbornness is entertaining.

Each character you love. Well okay not his parents and those involved in wanting him and his sisters dead but those that are protecting his sisters, his sisters, Drake and Karen love. His sisters are spunky and smart. they are all survivors and all that Drake has done for them and the love they all have for each other is heartwarming and melts you. this is a close knit group of siblings that will do anything for each other. And they do. They help one another and our each others rock. Karen becomes a part of this for Drake as well. She becomes his anchor and support.

This is the intense and spunky story of Drake and Karen. Of how Drake faces his demons and keeps his family safe. Of how his brothers in arms are family as well and show him his past doesn’t matter only him. How they make his family theirs as well. How Karen learns what she wants and becomes a part of the family as well. You fall in love with Drake even when he is being bossy. He is a softy underneath and when he is with his niece you can’t help but smile and see how much of a teddy bear he is inside. You find his sisters to be awesome, stubborn smart and sweet. Karen endears you to her and watching her and Drake fall in love is one wild and entertaining ride.

Drake has been my favorite of the Midnight Delta heroes since the very beginning, and here we get his history and insights into why he’s such a natural protector of women. Drake is called back to his hometown when his littlest sister, Piper, is in trouble. Once there, he and his team have to face down all the demons from his childhood, while discovering a few more allies along the way. One of those allies, Piper’s teacher, Karen, knocks Drake for quite a loop!

I loved watching Drake interact with his sisters, and the way he responds to Karen’s “teacher voice” was romantic and hilarious at the same time. It was gratifying to see him return to face the tormentors from his youth, especially now that he’s more than amply prepared to deal with them. His conversations with the other team members, especially the only single one – Aiden – were priceless! And if you don’t snort-laugh when you read “fifthary,” you didn’t read it right!

This book is charming and – dare I say it – the most romantic Midnight Delta book so far. I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but the progression of their romance, specifically the sequence of notable events, was so sweetly unusual that it really added to the charm and emotional depth of its characters. Even though this is a standalone romance, we’re given just enough hints about what’s to come with Evie and Aiden to make reading their story downright irresistible.

This book did better on the action part, even though much of the plot was far-fetched, than it did as a romance. I just didn't feel the chemistry between Drake and Karen. Their love was too instantaneous and then wasn't developed enough. I did enjoy Drake's relationship with his sisters and even with his teammates, but the relationship with Karen just didn't do anything for me. In addition, some of the characters, like Drake's parents and the sheriff, were little more than stereotypes.

The book needed editing. The author needs to hire a proofreader who has a good grasp of grammar. There were way too many run-ons. The dialog wasn't punctuated properly in some instances. For instance, the author would use beginning and end quotation marks around two separate sentences, putting them in two separate paragraphs, when they were spoken by the same character. Also O'Leary needs to work on pronoun references. One example was a sentence something like, "Mason was on his phone when he ...." The reader assumes that the word "he" refers to Mason when the author really means Drake. Readers shouldn't have to reread sentences in order to try to figure out the author's meaning.

I have been waiting for Drake’s story and it didn’t disappoint! He has been my favorite character since the beginning. It was nice to see Drake meet a woman who can give it as good as she receives.

What a messed-up situation Drake has to deal with, with everything with his family, his stubborn sisters, Karen, Aiden and his team. That man had nerves of steel to deal with it all. I liked that we still got to see the snarky Drake that we all love but most of the story had to do with his love for his sisters and doing right by them.

I loved Karen in this story. She was his rock. He was this big bad SEAL who needed someone in his corner. Knowing when to push and when to just listen. I loved the way they described her being she was a teacher and using her teacher voice.

My only complaint in this book was I missed the team. I know that Aiden was there but it just didn’t feel the same when it was just Drake. I was glad to see some familiar faces at the end but I missed the guy time.

Love, love, love Drake Avery

Bull in a China shop, Drake Avery has been my favorite Midnight Delta SEAL throughout this series. He's boisterous, speaks his mind freely and is super protective of any woman he meets. From Tennesse, this giant of a man, he has six younger sister's he's been protecting from his vicious, criminal father (and the mother who enables him) all their lives. Now Drake has returned home to protect his sister's from his "recently released from prison" father. This book is great in explaining Drake's psyche and what has made him the man he is. And his magnetic draw to his youngest sister, Piper, mentor and tutor, Karen Eastman, is immediate and strong. Curvaceous, brave and smart Karen is drawn to Drake, too, but they have other issues to worry about. When the members of Midnight Delta arrive to cover both Drake and his sisters in their need this becomes a well planned, covert operation to finally bring peace to the Avery siblings and their hometown of Jasper Creek. And love and contentment to Drake and Karen. Extremely well done.

This series continues to entertain and delight!!

When Drake gets a frantic call from his youngest sister, he realizes he must return to the small town that almost killed him years ago to face his father and his cronies. Piper witnessed their father kill a man many years ago and though he was sent to jail, now their father has been released. He is hunting for Piper and the nightmare is beginning again.

Anyone associated with Piper is being followed or watched. Piper works as a Kindergarten Aide, and the teacher Karen is assaulted in her home, so Drake brings her to the compound where he is keeping his sisters safe; but the feelings she evokes are not those of a sister. Sparks fly and danger escalates as more SEALs come to town to keep family safe, figure out what is happening in the town and eradicate the bad guys.

You will not be able to put this one down!!!!

**I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book**

Throughout the series, we've always had our hero there sprouting off his mouth. He's the loudest member of the whole team and second in command. However, when his sister calls him and tells him she and the family are in trouble, he breaks the sound barrier to get to them. He knew it was going to be a struggle because he was forced out of town by the corrupted law, lawyer and father after he testifies against his father in a trial. However, nothing will keep in from his sisters now they need him.

The heroine only cares about helping her students about making a difference. When she's attacked because she might know where the hero's sister is, she's now one of the group and eventually the hero's heart. Will the hero be taken into custody like last time and shown the jail cell? Or will he call in his team to help him and arrest the bad guys?

Even more, is there a future between him and the heroine? If so, how will they handle the distance between TN and CA?

I enjoyed reading Her Dominant Seal (Book 6) which is a part of the Midnight Delta Series. Each of these books can be read as a standalone.

Ya gotta love insta-love books. You know realistically it doesn’t usually happen like that for them to live their HEA’s but, it can be an enjoyable book if you can decide to suspend reality!

Drake has a lot of sisters. He gets a call from his baby sister Piper. She needs help. Drake hasn’t seen any of his sisters for 10 years, not since he was practically run out of town. Fortunately for Drake he got a good judge when he had some false charges against him. The judge gave Drake a choice of signing up for one of the branches of service to avoid doing time. So, Drake signed up in the Navy and he became a SEAL.
Now I will let you read the rest of the story.

Her Dominant Seal is Drake and Karen’s story and it is a good story! That I can’t wait to read their follow up. Her Treasured SEAL.

Highly enjoyed

This is an insane ride. Small town, police on the take, a judge out to get you. Not to mention a murderous dad.

Drake has 6, yes 6 sisters. His youngest is in trouble and hiding. He hasn't been back to his hometown in over a decade. A call in the middle of the night has him flying home. While stashing his youngest sister away from his ex con father, in walks Karen Eastman, a kindergarten teacher who is helping Piper get into college. Sparks fly at the first meeting.

This book has it all. Fists, guns, mouthy sisters, overbearing males, incredibly moronic cousins. But in the end will everything work out? Will Drake stay out of prison? Will Bella, Drakes adorable 3 year old niece, has enough saved by her graduation to get a corvette? (Hahaha inside joke, you have to read this book to under stand my question)
