Welcoming, Farah: A Q&A with our New Implementation Manager

Meet our new implementation manager, Farah Vali! Farah recently joined Practice EHR and will lead client onboarding and implementation.

We sat down with Farah for a quick Q&A to learn more about her. We think she's an awesome addition to the team and we're excited for you to meet her! Read the written transcription of our conversation below to get to know her.

Q: Tell us about yourself.

A: I am originally from Canada, but relocated to Dallas a few years ago to study at the University of North Texas Health Science Center where I received my master’s in healthcare administration. I also have a bachelor's degree from Utah State University, which is where my interest and experience in healthcare began. Since then, I’ve worked in a variety of roles giving me experience in product management and implementation, healthcare operations as well as quality measure improvement. In my free time, I love to travel, hike or take a Zumba class. Being Canadian, I also of course, am a huge hockey fan and say the occasional, “eh”.

Q: When did you become interested in healthcare?

A: I became interested in healthcare after volunteering in college. I volunteered at an aphasia clinic and worked with patients who dealt with brain injuries and strokes, as well as children with autism. Working with these patients made me feel like I really made an impact, and from then on, I knew I just had to get into healthcare!

Q: Tell us more about your experience.

A: I’ve been working in the healthcare industry for years. I started out studying communication disorders and later went to graduate school to dive into the healthcare operations side of the industry. From there, I found an interest in health IT. I’ve worked with a level IV trauma hospital where I was involved in operational and quality improvement projects. I’ve also worked with both small and large healthcare organizations, where my main responsibility was to implement various technologies. This is truly where my heart is at. I love being a helpful resource for the healthcare organizations and medical practices I work with.

Q: Tell us about your role at Practice EHR.

A: As the implementation manager at Practice EHR, I manage software implementations for all new customers, including data migration, customization, training, etc. Basically, my job is to help get our small practices up and running on our software, and ensure the transition goes smoothly for them. Luckily, our software is very user friendly, which makes my job pretty easy.

Q: Is there anything you want to tell our future clients you’ll be working with?

A: First, I want our customers to know I am a true advocate of our software! I joined the Practice EHR team because I believe in what we do and the product we offer, and I’m excited to show you first hand how it can help your medical practice. From a process perspective, expect to hear from me often (I like to send meeting agendas, notes, updates, etc. to keep you in the loop). Also, know that the line of communication is always open - I’m here to help and answer any questions you may have.
