Registration is now open for the 2017 CoSIDA Convention to be held June 11-14 at the World Center Marriott in Orlando, Fla., as well as the SIDEARM Leadership Forum presented by Learfield.

The CoSIDA Convention, held in conjunction with the NACDA Affiliates Convention Week, will offer a diverse lineup of programming, speakers and social events for all members. Senior-level members will want to once again take advantage of the SIDEARM Leadership Forum presented by Learfield, a day-long event on June 11.

All registration must be done online by May 12. For the best possible value, members will want to register by March 10 to take advantage of Early Bird pricing. On-site registration will be available through the convention.

Convention registration rates:
Feb. 8-March 10 Early-bird registration $250 member; $300 non-member; $200 student
March 11-May 12 Advance registration $275 member; $325 non-member; $225 student
June 11-14 On-site registration $325 member; $375 non-member; $275 student
* Members may register a spouse, child or friend at the member rates.

CoSIDA/NACDA 5K Fun Run/Walk
Tuesday, June 13; 6:30-7:30 a.m., Hawks Landing Golf Course
5K Cost: $20 preregistration; you also will receive a special race shirt for participating, and prizes again will be awarded.

6184For the seventh consecutive year, CoSIDA is hosting a 5K fun run/walk at the annual convention. This year, the CoSIDA/NACDA & Affiliates 5k Fun Run/Walk returns for a third year to Hawks Landing Golf Course located on the grounds of the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Fla., and takes place on Tuesday, June 13, at 6:30 a.m.

Participants will receive an official 5k running tech shirt provided by College TV Ticket. Prizes will once again be awarded to the top finishers. In addition, for the first time we will offer cameras at the finish line and a video board with times coming across.

The 5K run/walk is open to all CoSIDA and NACDA Convention attendees, along with their spouses, friends and children. The registration fee is $20 per participant. All of the race/walk proceeds will go to Samaritan's Feet.

All participants will need to sign a waiver before participating.

CoSIDA Partners with Samaritan's Feet for Community Service Event in Orlando

62016202This year's CoSIDA Goodwill and Wellness Committee partners with Samaritan's Feet for a shoe distribution and basketball skills camp on Tuesday, June 13. The event will start at 10:30 a.m. with both the shoe distribution and skills camp taking place at Frontline Outreach in Orlando.

This will be the second time the CoSIDA Goodwill and Wellness Committee has worked with Samaritan's Feet for the annual community service project. Transportation to and from the event will be provided by CoSIDA.?

This is the eighth community service project organized and coordinated by the Goodwill and Wellness Committee in the past nine years (San Antonio '09, San Francisco '10, St. Louis '12, Orlando, '13, '14, '15, '17, Dallas '16).

Samaritan's Feet is a 501(c)(3) humanitarian aid organization that shares a message of hope and love through washing the feet of impoverished children around the world and adorning them with new shoes. There are an estimated 2.2 billion people worldwide living in poverty and more than 1.5 billion who suffer from foot borne diseases. Since its founding by Manny Ohonme in 2003, Samaritan's Feet and its team of ambassadors and partners have blessed more than five million children in more than 70 nations. They also have partnerships with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee).

"We are so grateful to partner with CoSIDA for the second year," stated Manny Ohonme, founder of Samaritan's Feet. "We at Samaritan's Feet are looking forward to serving together in Orlando and encouraging those in that community. Thank you CoSIDA for joining us as we make a positive difference together in the lives of many children and families," added Ohonme.

CoSIDA volunteers will travel to downtown Orlando on Tuesday morning to Frontline Outreach to participate in a basketball skills camp and provide new shoes to nearly 300 kids.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with Samaritan's Feet at the 2017 CoSIDA Convention in Orlando," said Chris Mitchell, chair of the CoSIDA Goodwill and Wellness Committee, and Assistant Director of Athletics for Communications at Washington University in St. Louis. "Our volunteers are looking forward to a fun-filled day on the court, and the opportunity to share our love for the sport and to give back to the Orlando community."
