When new, this is a satisfying pen. There's no bleed-through with Field Notes and Moleskine notebooks. But what will keep me from buying these pens again is that they age rapidly. The ink doesn't flow as freely, and they go from smooth to scratchy unless I slow down my writing. The tip gets shorter. (This is based on experience with two pens: one black, one blue.) I may try a larger tip model.

My uses: writing, simple sketching.

I have been bouncing around between fountain pens, gel, and many others and the Pigma Micron has me pretty excited. Very smooth writing, solid bold lines at a .3mm. Extremely happy! A dozen more and I will be set for a while. Thank you Jet Pens!!

Perfect for using in my planner, barely shows through the paper onto the next page!

I’ve been using this pen in my Hobonichi Day-Free planner. It took some getting used to since I don’t normally use pens with this thin of a nib but it is perfect for the planner which has a pretty small grid size. It does smudge once in a while in the planner but I think that’s more due to the nature of Tomoe River Paper than the pen since I haven’t had issues on other paper.

Great for planner spreads where I get fancy and incorporate watercolor.
