Step 4: After that, you have to open nut of the gas control valve with the help of a wrench. Then, pull out the copper wire and the nut from the control valve. Now, you have to reach carefully into the gas burner and twist gently the thermocouple.

Step 5: Once you have twisted the thermocouple, pull it out from its bracket. During this process, never bend the thermocouple bracket. You just carefully remove it from the gas burner. Now, you have to replace it with the new one.

Step 6: In this step, you have to straighten thermocouple wire. After that, place it inside the gas burner carefully and twist it into the bracket.

Step 7: you have to connect the outer part of the thermocouple with the control valve with the help of a hexagonal nut. A cross-threaded nut is not ideal for tightening. Now, you need to tighten the nut properly but don’t over tighten.

Step 8: Once you have done it, you have to install the burner cover and open the shut-off valve. Now the light on the pilot and check the thermocouple is working or not.
