NY Rep. Tom Reed collapses on Capitol Hill before interview

WASHINGTON — New York Rep. Tom Reed collapsed Thursday afternoon in the Cannon House Office Building rotunda minutes before he was to do a live TV appearance.

Reed, 47, was slated to appear on Fox Business Network.

Paramedics took Reed to George Washington University hospital for evaluation.

A spokesman for Reed said the GOP congressman was in good condition and was responsive.

“Everything looks good right now,” Will Reinert told The Post.

Reed, a Republican, has been a leader of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus.

He’s regularly done TV interviews promoting moderate and common-sense solutions to thorny DC issues.
