Title: Encore

Author: Kat Green

Trilogy: The Black Eagles

Other books in the Trilogy: Book 1: Strings – Book 3: Unnamed

Information: Self-Publishing | 298 pages | One more book to follow.

For Fans of: Music, Action, a lot of feels, thrilling writing skills.

My Thoughts:

You may know that I loved the first book really much and it became one of my favorites – so you can imagine how excited I was for the second. Of course I had a lot of expectation as the first book is so well written – who wouldn’t have, right?

I know what this sounds like and what you think I will say: I got disappointed. But I didn’t. It can surly reach the high writing level of the first book!

I was a little sad that it didn’t start like the first one. If you haven’t read book one (which you should): It started with nearly the end. It tells the past and the present by turns. I understand why the second book was build up different but I think it would have been good to still start off with a little part from the end of the book – it would have grabbed me even more!

While reading I once or twice felt like it has too many stories in the story. I’m not sure how to explain this without telling Spoilers. Let me try: When something happened that put the characters into trouble it got solved just so another thing came up and got solved again. I hope you understand, but (!) when you read the book to the end it makes sense. The characters had to get brought to the edge for the end to kick off (that’s how it felt for me and I liked it a lot when I think back now).

There also have been two plot points that I didn’t quite like while reading – but which also changed when I got to the end, because they made sense to me then (at least one and I have the feeling the other will in book 3).

The thing is – everything that wasn’t completely perfect got kicked away from your thoughts through the amazing writing skills Kat brings up. Every character is perfectly described and I understand them all a lot better now, because there is lot back information, also about characters that haven’t been much in book one but more in book two now.
That’s another thing: I just love, love, love to hear more about every character and I got this here. I got to know characters I already fell in love with in book one a lot better.

So to wrap it up: Encore is just as amazing as Strings and Kat is showing up her amazing skills!

Minus-Points:

-Not really a minus but I would have liked it more with a “preview” of the end at the beginning.

-That one scene seemed over the top for me and one unnecessary (but they are understandable later on).

Plus-Points:

+That you get to know more about the characters.

+That you can already guess what trouble is waiting for us in book three.

+How great all the feelings are described.

+My favorite chapter that has everything in it that a good complete book needs!

Favorite Characters:

Can I say everyone, even the bad ones? They are just all so well written that I can’t hate them even if I do. Do you understand what I mean?

Rating:
5 of 5 stars – ★★★★★

Last Words:

I still want my own Luke – or maybe I rather take a Dale now…?

Another amazing book by the talented Kat.

This is the sequel to Strings, a story about a band called The Black Eagles and their girlfriends. What I really liked about the sequel is that it wasn't centred just around one person, we got to find out about the main two characters, Melissa and Luke plus Beth (who is my favourite, not because we have the same name or anything) Dale, Megan, Toby etc.

It was great reading about these characters again.

In Encore we follow the characters as they are trying to move on with their lives from what happened in the first book but it's not as easy as it seems as there is a few twists in the book and old enemies and I just loved it!

Kat has a really fantastic style of writing that has you gripped from the very first page. The characters are all amazing.

The Black Eagles are trying to get past what happened and move on with their career and I swear if they where a real bad I would be a big fan.

This is a great follow up to Strings, as it was one of my favourite books, and now this one has became my favourite. I think everyone would really enjoy this book.

Encore is a brilliant story that will put you through the emotions but will have you reading until the very end.

Well done Kat, it is superb.

These poor characters can't seem to catch a break. This is the second book in The Black Eagles series, it is fast-paced, full of drama, and complex characters. I didn't want to put the book down. I needed to know what was going to happen next. I strongly recommend reading this series in order for a better enjoyment. I look forward to reading what happens next.

Encore fr. Meaning more and this book sure delivers. Luke and Melissa are trying to mend from the horror they were put through along with Beth, Dale and the rest of the Black Eagles family. Joining a new record label has them touring with their friends in Echo but more danger, deception and evil almost cost them everyone they love. The second book in this series is such an adrenaline rush that you will be holding your breath until the very last page. The writing is awesome, the characters are memorable and looking forward to book three with mixed emotions.

30 Freaking Stars!!!

This series is seriously frecking amazing. I am devouring it. Just know that it is brilliantly written, twists, angst, again more twists and drama, characters that seem like family and a flawlessly written storyline.
Sorry this is a short review and deserves YOUR eyes reading this awesome series. I am done off to read the third book in this trilogy.

I fell in love with Strings so had to read Encore. The story picks up right where Strings leaves off. The Black Eagles and their friends are having a difficult time adjusting after the stress and terror Jay-Den and Amber inflicted on them. Kat Green nailed the high strung emotions of the group of new adults. The drama was very realistic and mimicked how I would see a group that age dealing with the trauma.
A few parts broke my heart and rendered me nearly in tears while other scenes made me smile and squeal with excitement. The book isn’t without a new villain both wreaking havoc and adding to the excitement and action in this sequel. There are a few plot twists that had me guessing and scratching my head and loads of suspense! Kat Green has placed herself on my favorite author list with her phenomenal series.
Enjoyable, surprise packed read!

It has been a while since I've given a book 5 stars but Encore blew all my expectations off. It's so interesting, detailed and shocking. There were moments that made me laugh, cry and gape at the pages with shock. Kat certainly knows how to keep the story line interesting. It took me just over a day to finish the book as it was such a page turner. And the ending ... I cannot wait for book 3 it ends on such a clif hanger. I hope Kat doesn't keep me waiting too long for the next part of the store. Well done Kat Encore is even better than Strings and I loved Strings x

Terrific

Both of the Black Eagles books had me on the edge of my seat. C o lent put them down. Love the characters they feel like family. Wonderful job Kat I hope there is another book in the series I'd love to see the Eagles and their loves have some serious fun with no Amber.

Welcome back to the tour bus . Everything is starting to settle down after what happened with Jay- Den and Amber . Luke and Melissa are healing from what happened to them nd the band . Everyone is picking up the pieces and trying to find trust again . But you know there is going to be more demons out there to get them and try and break the band and the couples up Will they be able to forgive and heal or will the friendships and the band be torn apart .
The poor characters , Encore picks up where Strings left off . Melissa is battling with herself about what happened and trying to heal and Luke well Luke is Luke but he has some healing to do also . Melissa has become stronger but also she is a lot less trusting of everyone . To the point some times its kind of annoying . I know she is trying hard but sometimes her neediness gets in the way of really liking her . Luke is well Luke trying to fix everything for everyone . The characters I really liked in this book were Beth and Dale . Beth has been through so much and all she wants is a family . She is sweet but also kick butt strong . Dale well he is gruff and a typical rocker but when it comes to Beth he is like a kitty cat . They are the couple of the book . Amber is back reeking havoc with the band and threatening them all again and she has a new accomplice Aiden . He is slimy big time . You will love to hate him .
This book has much more action then the first book . We are taken on a emotional ride with the band . The author really puts the characters through it again . But I must admit this the story felt a little lacking of something . Not sure how it is lacking but it seems like every time they go out on tour the crazies come out and it kind of felt like a fluffier then the first book. Over all I did enjoy this second book in the series . I read it in an evening . I am liking the series so far . Can't wait to read book 3 in the series . So check out the series . They must be read in order so you will understand what is happening .

After reading and loving Strings, I had to read the follow-up books to discover if the Black Eagles, Echo, and their partners would ever get their happily ever after.

After a devastating betrayal by Jay-Den and surviving the nightmare Amber put them through, the group is ready to try and move on and get back to normal. But being in the lime-light there is no such thing as normal, and the group seems to have enemies everywhere they go. Plus after their trust was broken it's hard to figure out who can be trusted and who can't.

I am loving this series and how each group member and their significant others are dealing with the fall our from Jay-Den, watching these men rise back to the challenge and give their fans what they are begging for.

No matter what these kids are put through they still remember they have each other and those that are important know what's true and not.

It's time to get back on the tour bus and hit the road but so many things have happened to the band , will they be able to get back to some kind of normalcy. But after so much betrayal and pain , can they trust again or is this the start of the end for the band? But wait, Kat Green can spin you around by just a paragraph so there is always a surprise of some kind around the corner. So be prepared to be shocked, excited, scared , thrilled, hurt, and love what happens next. You might think that you know what's going to happen, but don't count on it. I'm betting you have plenty of questions but no spoilers from me because I want you to get all the feelings that Kat Green gives up in this book. I know that if you read it, you will love it

PSYCHO AT LARGE!

Amber was captured and locked away in a mental institution but hasn't been cooperative towards recovery. The guys are finally unanimous and sign a new record deal/management team. So off on tour they go as their new album is released. But there is trouble brewing with Aiden, from a different band, who continues to torment and abuse women. Then all hell breaks loose....Amber has escaped and can't be found. The girls quickly pack up and join their guys on tour where their safety is easier to manage.

But are they safe? NOT!

I missed book 1 to this series which was really bad because I didn’t understand what happened to the characters in book 1 but whatever did happen the band and it’s members are trying to heal but there are two characters Amber and Aiden who want to destroy the band. You need to read book 1 to understand what’s going on and I bought it so now this review might change later, but I did enjoy this story it’s about rockstars and it’s my favourite genre and I do recommend this book it’s well worth the read.

Like it

So hope that chick is done. If you want to know what I'm talking about read the book. I also liked the idea of Luke having to deal with the repercussions of his actions in the last book after he went on tour. If a guy thinks he can be careless and not give thought to his actions coming back on him he's not that smart. If he really loved his girl even though they were not together he shouldn't have been able to be with anyone else. The girl never is. Its hard to believe he's so in love with her when with other girls no matter what the excuse.

I received and voluntary reviewed an ARC of this book.

This was a great strings follow up. More heartbreak due to the crazy stalker, but nothing tares this family apart they only get stronger. Can't wait to see what happens in the third and final story. Kat Green is an amazing author. Waiting for the next installment.

Poor Melissa and Luke can't catch a break, they're trying to put their lives back in order after the drama from the first book, along with everyone else. Now they have more betrayal and lies that have put them all back into dangerous territory. Definitely a page turner, couldn't do anything else until I finished this book!!!

I really enjoy the main characters and have loved their story and journey so far. This book branched out to include friends of the band and the other members of the band/family as well. I really like how they’re one supportive and loyal family it. I can’t wait to read what happens next.

Maybe it's me for not reading the previous book but that book felt all over the place for me. Way too many characters being introduced on the first two pages. Maybe I will go back to it one day, but for now it was DNF for me. Besides, giving the book title, I expected nothing but story about music.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This story brings home the risks and agony of Fame.

It shows so in such a personal way how each person involved can be affected. The beauty and comfort their creations bring so many. Yet the insanity such pressure brings with it.

This book was even better then the first one!! I loved that it pretty much picked back up after the events of strings. My heart was breaking for them as they were going through the process of healing only to have more things happen to them. I really love this series!!

This book is nail bitingly good. You get to know the characters more while you are on the edge of your seat. This book flows very smooth and the transition from the pervious book to this is perfect. Its twisted and unpredictable, but still easy to read. Everyone should read this book.

The next in the series and it's even better. These people just cannot get a break of people who want to harm them. Or screw them over in some way. It has all the mystery, suspense, love, and even a new baby. Love. Love, loved this book. Cant wait to see what's next!
