Nintendo has recently filed a trademark for the smash hit 1080° snowboarding which arrived on the Nintendo 64. The company filed the trademark on December 18th, 2017. It’s not clear why the trademark was renewed, but it could have something to do with the Virtual Console or a possible return to the series on the Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo has filed a trademark registration for 1080° Ten Eighty.
1080° Snowboarding was first released on N64 in 1998, hitting the Wii's Virtual Console 10 years later (in 2008). The sequel "1080° Avalanche" was released on GameCube in 2003. pic.twitter.com/VJ8wcesbv8
