Largest futures broker and clearing firm in the US updates global connectivity

R.J O’Brien has partnered with BSO to implement a low-latency network across its services.

R.J O’Brien has decided to update its global connectivity across its services through a partnership with BSO.

The largest futures broker and clearing firm in the US has opted for BSO’s 10G low-latency network to improve access points for those using its brokerage, clearing and trading services.

The partnership allows R.J O’Brien’s clients to access its services regardless of location, which it said is particularly important for its high-speed and algorithmic trading clients.

“For example, if a trading firm is looking to gain access from Tel Aviv to R.J O’Brien’s services in London, they can simply cross-connect via BSO,” it said.

Adam Solomons, chief customer officer at R.J O’Brien, explained from providing faster quote times to higher levels of responsiveness, BSO’s connectivity ensures customers have access to all services.

“Our independent, dynamic and service-driven approach dovetails nicely with BSO, and its proven track record will enable us to meet our clients’ needs,” he said.

Fraser Bell, chief revenue officer at BSO, added the demand from brokers with clients across the world to implement low-latency connectivity has never been stronger.

R.J O’Brien is currently live on the BSO network.
