COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — San Francisco State wrestler Brandon Vu has been named RMAC Wrestler of the Week for the week of Jan. 15-21.

Vu follows heavyweight Sam Alnassiri, who earned the honor the previous week. Vu helped the Gators to an upset No. 9 California Baptist. SF State trailed 20-16 headed into the final bout and needed a major decision for the tie and win by criteria. Vu delivered with a 13-4 major decision victory. At the Clackamas Open, Vu went 4-0 with a tech fall and a pair of major decisions to take first-place in his weight class.

Next up, SF State hosts the 41st Annual California Collegiate Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 27.
