NEPTUNE, N.J. – Here at the New Jersey Academy of Optometry fall dinner meeting, Mark Hakim, OD, shared a case report of a patient who was unable to comprehend written words and sentences as a result of a stroke. With the use of the KNFB Reader App from the National Federation of the Blind, the patient is now able to read his mail by taking a picture of it, Hakim said.
