His heart beats for the music. She's his favorite song.

Wolf is the sexy lead singer for the hottest rock band around with a line-up of guaranteed one night stands. Lyric Cassidy isn’t one of them. That’s fine with him. Women like Lyric come with fairytale expectations, so it should be easy to stay away. Too bad she's hot as sin with a fiery temper and a mouth that drives him wild.

Pick out your hottest outfit, get in full hair and makeup, grab a lighter and get ready to scream your lungs out. Front row seats are yours and you're about to witness one of the hottest singers of all time—Wolf Chapman!!

Another hit from K.k. Allen and this time she brings us a swoonworthy rocker!

We meet Lyric Cassidy, daughter of Mitch Cassidy and Destiny Lane. She loves being behind the scenes of concerts that have fans throwing their panties on stage.

Her next stop is working for the one and only sensation Wolf, known worldwide for their powerful lyrics and band members who will set your body on fire. Not only are they one of the most talented bands around, their members are just as hot as their songs.

"Music is my everything. It's the air I breathe. The beat I walk to. The blood in my veins. It's what lulls me to sleep at night. What carries me thought the storms of my life..."

Wolf's reputation is one for the record books. He's a one night stand kind of guy and Lyric refuses to become his latest conquest.

"...this isn't a date."

"There's that word again. We should get something straight right now. You don't have to worry. I sing. I fuck. I eat. I don't fall in love, Lyric. I don't date."

But what happens when they're stuck together on a tour bus taking city after city by storm?

Lust.
Heat.
Desire.
Need.

It's too much, yet not enough. The longing takes over and what happens next will have you melting into a puddle of mush.

"His heart is destructive. Dangerous."

K.k. not only has you taken with every word, she has you rooting for Wolf and Lyric to create a love song for the record books.

Her words are like powerful lyrics, and you'll be hooked by the very first page. After reading Up in the Treehouse and Under the Bleachers, we were instant fans. With Dangerous Hearts, she delivers a whirlwind romance that will have you glued to your kindle until the very last word.

We can't wait for Destined Hearts and to get more of Lyric and Wolf. It's sure to be an epic encore!!

6+ Stars!!!!

We all have those books that we pick up and get so drawn in that we can’t set them down until we are done. However, it is rare, especially for me, that I have to slow myself down while reading because the characters, the story, are so amazing that I want to savor every single word. This is one of those books. K.K. Allen definitely created a #1 hit with this story and I can not wait for the second half of this duet!

I have not been quiet about how much I love every book K.K. has written. Seriously, I have fallen hook line and sinker for every single one. I couldn’t get enough of this story! I was truly amazed by the story line and every word had me grasping for more. It blew me away that there were so many actual lyrics in this story. The way they added detail and emotion to the story was absolutely wonderful. They also helped with enhancing the character development as they grew and changed over the course of the story.

Lyric and Wolf are completely and totally my favorite couple of the year so far. The prologue absolutely killed me. I loved learning about Lyric’s past and getting a glimpse into who she is early on. Wolf’s character is one of my favorite male leads of all time. Allen always has an amazing way of adding more meaning to her books that just a love story. In this book she makes it clear that there is always more to what meets the eye, Wolf being the perfect example.

If you have read Allen’s other books, you will notice this is a much edgier and sexier side. I LOVE IT! I can’t wait for more. I love how much of a well-rounded author K.K. is proving she is. Her storytelling is completely captivating and if she’s not on your TBR, or one-click list I don’t know what you’re waiting for!

The second part of this duet cannot get in my hands fast enough! I need to know how Lyric and Wolf’s story ends!

Note: Yes, this story does end on a cliffhanger but I promise it’s worth it! We don’t have to wait long for the second half!

Grateful to have received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

I just finished reading Dangerous Hearts by K. K. Allen, and I can’t tell you how pleasantly surprised I am! I’ve been on the hunt for a good rockstar romance for a long time now, and while the idea of one has always appealed to me, I had yet to find one that was more than mildly enjoyable. No matter how good the blurbs sound, somehow I’m always disappointed. Regardless, when this one caught my eye, I decided to give it a try. Why? Because I’m no quitter! It’s a good thing too, because I’m ecstatic to report that I finally picked up the right one!

Lyric is the daughter of two famous musicians. She grew up in the music industry, and though she loves music, she has no desire to be in the spotlight. Instead, she would rather work on the business end of things much to the disappointment of her father.

Lyric is just getting out of a two year relationship with her rockstar boyfriend, Tony. He broke her heart by sleeping with someone else, and not just anyone, but her best friend. She can’t wait to get out of town, immerse herself in her job, and forget all about their betrayal.

Wolf is the lead singer of a popular rock band that Lyric is sent to help manage while they are tour. He’s insanely hot and known for sleeping with a different girl every night. From the moment Lyric runs into him on her first day (literally), she knows he is going to be trouble. She has had enough of guys like him though and is determined to guard her heart at all costs. It should have been easy, but it doesn’t take long for her to realize that Wolf isn’t what she thought he was. The attraction between them is strong and undeniable, and soon she finds herself wondering if he might be worth the risk.

Wow, I absolutely loved this book! I was completely engrossed in the story throughout the entire time I was reading it. Lyric and Wolf have amazing chemistry, and their romance is as sweet as it is steamy. I’m not a fan of the way it ended only because now I have to wait to see what happens next! Lol I erroneously thought that this was a standalone, but I couldn’t be happier to find out that we get another book about these characters!

Dangerous Hearts is hands down the best rockstar romance I’ve read to date! The story is well paced, well written, and deliciously sexy with well-developed and likable characters. This is my first book by this author, but she definitely has a new fan in me! I would recommend this to anyone that likes rockstar romance and/or contemporary romance in general.

The beat goes on . . . in one of the best rocker romances I've read in longer than I can remember. K.K. Allen's sizzling symphony is pitch-perfect from the first musical bar in the melodic Prologue to the ending crescendo. And with a sexy-as-sin plus factor -- just WOW!

Wolf Chapman is rock's ultimate bad boy, and his band is the hottest act on concert stages. Overtones from hurtful memories in both their pasts place stumbling blocks in the way of a building relationship. Wolf has it made. Rich, famous, adored by millions -- but deep down the ghosts of his past just won't let go.

Lyric Cassidy has her own hidden talents, one if discovered could change her life. Lyric has been betrayed and is heartbroken. She isn't looking to find love again. But when it knocks, she wants to believe there's a chance. (Love her name and it fits her to a tee!)

Fate steps in and takes over when rocker meets lyricist who isn't easy prey. She's wise to his ways and the ways of his world. But he's not accustomed to getting shut down. Together these two are combustible, and the power of attraction and need may win this battle before it even begins. From their very first meeting, the game is on and feelings of something extra-special take root. So, pay close attention to the Prologue which holds its own hidden meaning. It sets the mood for what follows. Of course, there must be some drama and a dash of nasty angst added to the sweet and mellow, altogether enriching the mood and romance. The author distinguishes this one from others with the unexpected use of syncopation into the regular flow of this soundtrack. A romance that breaks free from predictable compositions to steal your heart.

I've never outgrown my addiction for the unattainable rock star fantasy. And I've gone through many rock star romance tropes through the years. Some have been right on key -- others totally sour notes, but Zing! Went the strings of my heart when Wolf and his band took center stage, and I found true harmony between Lyric and Wolf in every verse. Using the alternating duo POVs is another expression of change in octave to the composition – and one I always applaud. I was thoroughly fangirling and a completely satisfied fan of author, characters and story.

Music - the universal language of love - is a form of conversation between Lyric and Wolf. This author uses all the notes on the scale to compose a rhapsody of romance -- sure to delight readers searching for that BRAVO performance.

A – A M A Z I N G, A L L U R I N G
B – B E D A Z Z L I N G, B A N T E R F U L
C – C O M B U S T I B L E
D – D Y N A M I T E
E – E M O T I O N A L, E L E C T R I C
F – F I V E–S T A R, F A B U L O U S
G – G E M, G O O D N E S S

Left in a heaping mess – broken, emotionally drained and sad. But hope springs eternal and I can’t wait to see where the music takes us next. I don’t often say this – but I guarantee that this is one well-worth the wait.

With an unsung ending, you'll be begging for another chorus NOW! But you'll have to wait for the final encore of this amazing duet, when Destined Hearts is scheduled for concert on July 24, 2017.

I love discovering new authors, and K.K Allen totally blew my mind with this Rockstar book. Dangerous Hearts had the perfect combination of angst, romance and music. Once you start reading it you won't be able to put it down.

Hop on the Wolf tour bus and I promise you will have a blast. Take notes because this duet series will steal your heart.

 photo 8E27783D-1531-4602-8F99-0CA7A1F95977_zpsut4lzr1j.jpg

Lyric Cassidy has always been surrounded by music. Both her parents are musicians and I guess you can say that Lyric's love for music comes from deep within her veins. She's a clandestine song writer, she only writes music that never see the light of day because she's not interested in the spotlight. Writing music is her way of dealing with the emotions inside her heart. And because music is a vital part of her life she has settled for a job as tour manager for a record company. Her last tour ended badly when her boyfriend of two years cheated on her with her best friend. Tired of heartache she has sworn off from ever hooking up with another Rockstar, she is DONE! That of course is until she meets the one and only Wolf in person.

From the moment they meet sparks fly but they both immediately reject the strong reaction. Wolf can tell that Lyric is a good girl who is looking for a prince charming and he is anything but that, and Lyric simply can go through another Rockstar romance that will for sure break her heart.

There won't be much these two can do, when Wolf and Lyric find themselves stuck inside that tour bus everyday. And lucky for us we go along for the ride as they battle a delicious romance that will tingle all of your senses.

This is a extremely well written Rockstar romance, that is angsty and totally addictive. Trust me when I tell you that once you finish the book you will be begging for more.

I like this book. The story, the chemistry is the right amount. Miss Allen done it. I read a lot of Miss Allen's books lately. She always putting art as her background of characterss.

The chemistry between Wolf and Lyric is hot. Their story is sweet. Wolf being vulnerable is hot. I like my hero brooding and vulnerable. This book ends with cliffhanger. I can not wait to read the conclusion of the story.

Title: Dangerous Hearts
(A Stolen Melody Duet Book 1)
Author: K. K. Allen
Genre: Contemporary Romance/New Adult
My Rating: 5 Wolf roaring Stars!
Swooning Level: THIS BOOK JUST BROKE THAT DARN SCALE

**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.**

"Silent war between heart and mind
Heart wins out every time"

Ever read a book that's so freaking good that you read it incredibly fast then when it's over you crumble in a million little pieces and now you don't know what to do with yourself?
Yeah, Dangerous Hearts is one of those books...

Lyric Cassidy is no stranger to the music scene. And she's no foreigner to the lures of bad boy rockers, either. Lyric knows those guys are no good - her heart was just shattered by one of them. So, when Lyric takes on the job of road manager for Wolf, the hottest rocker around, she already has her armor on. Too bad Wolf wants what's behind the shield...
But who's to say all is fair in love & war?
And can any amount of transparent armor really be durable enough to safeguard a wounded heart when there's a possibility of love on the other side?
Especially when that lure is all wrapped up in a gorgeous, caramel-eyed, package?

"His heart is destructive. Dangerous. The last thing I need."

For Wolf Chapman, having fun and rocking out is life. Going from one girl to the next is his MO and no one can change him. That is until Lyric, literally, crashes into him at full speed. Wolf can sense the change within himself but refuses to believe that he wants more from Lyric then just one night. He can't seem to stay away from her though she's made her intentions clear: there will be nothing between them.
So why can't Wolf move on?
Why does the bad boy rocker want to reveal to Lyric he's not so "bad"?

"If I can't get my mind off Lyric, I'll write my own."

Sounds good doesn't it, loves???

"Her words are her weapons, and I've lost count of how many times she's stabbed me."

My Review:
AHHHHH THAT CLIFFHANGER!!!!
5 FREAKING STARS PEOPLE!
After taking some time to put the pieces of my heart back together I've come to the conclusion that K. K. Allen is a master storyteller that can only write beautiful stories that leave you *slightly* broken and a whole lotta obsessed! I freaking LOVE Wolf & Lyric (I mean, hello, their names alone are everything!). I was rooting for this pair from the very beginning. I always enjoy a romance about two hurting people crossing paths, finding common ground and struggling with what to do about it. But Dangerous Hearts takes it a gazillion steps up from that. And ya wanna know what that equals...a DAZZLING TALE THAT STRUMS EVERY HEART STRING AND LEAVES YOU BEGGING FOR MORE. Yep, that's what K. K. Allen specializes in, loves. I've read her other books, Up in the Treehouse & Under the Bleachers and adored them as well. (Rated them both five stars.)
Wolf & Lyric's romance will stay with me for awhile, I'm sure. And I HAVE to know how their story ends!!! The cliffhanger ending of Dangerous Hearts leaves me so ready for part two in this duet, Destined Hearts! I wish I had it right now because I need more of my precious rocker Wolf!
*I'm having a teary-eyed fangirl moment...please hold.**
Oh and I must say I love how Allen gives us the present of alternating POV's! I always appreciate when author's do that for us. It adds so much to the story...especially in this case with Wolf & Lyric.

Overall:
I'm already a major fan of K. K. Allen's work and Dangerous Hearts just proves how talented she is. I'm honored to have had the opportunity to review this newest release of hers. I absolutely couldn't put this book down (ask my cat, she'll tell you..).
I admired the intricate weaving of music throughout the story, making for an addictive tale. As a music lover, enjoyed going on this tour adventure with Wolf and his band. (Who are just about as adorable as he is.)
Both Wolf & Lyric are damaged hearts who have a story to tell and secrets to keep. I think any reader of romance (either Contemporary or NA) will fall in love with Dangerous Hearts just as I did.
And even beyond the epic romance that touched me deeply, I also learned a valuable lesson to not assume that what people showcase on the outside is what truly is in their heart. Wolf will remain an example to me for that reason. Man, he is one exquisite "bad" boy rocker.
*I'm in a Wolf-induced daze...*
So yasss lovelies, go and experience this roller coaster of emotions for yourself!

*Wolf runs out on stage.*
*Howls like an actual wolf.*
*All us females fangirl uncontrollably.*

P.S. I NEED THE NEXT BOOK RIGHT NOW...
*crying.*

**Recommend for ages 18 and over**

Good Rocker manwhore romance. I actually really liked the book overall. Authors writing style makes reading easy and she draws you right in.

What I can’t stand though is TSTL heroines with a bad case of body betraying syndrome. 🤬
I really hate dumb females who can barely speak when they’re around hot guys.🙄 Are we still in middle school?

This h is suppose to be the H’s road manager, she’s in a position of leadership, but she can barely process a thought, when he’s around. She acts more like a giggly 14yr old.

He’s talks to her completely professionally, because he wants his tour to go well, but she’s there just gushing about how fucking hot he is internally. What a moron and an embarrassment to all hard working women.

What makes it worse is that her ex, another rock star, cheated on her with her bestfriend, so she had vowed to never get romantically involved with another, but look at the way she’s acting above not 5 mins after making that vow. What a flake.

🚧Safety spoilers 🚧

- no virgins. H is fuckboy, h had relationships.
- h was in love with her ex bf, they dated for 2 years, and had a good sex life with him, until he cheated and fell for her bestfriend instead. I hate this trope, because it makes the h appear so pathetic, not being wanted by anyone.

- Book seems to be headed towards loads of ow drama, and sex with ow after meeting the h, so I decided to dnf.

This scene happens at 30%, this is before MCs hooked up, but they’re strongly attracted to each other.
It’s still a gross scene, but not a cheating scene. Not sure what happens after 40%, since I DNF.
But I felt like he could cheat on her though, since he told the ow no, tried to push her away, but couldn’t resist her at the end.🙄 This guy had no will power. He seemed quite shallow.

h interrupts the H and ow fuck scene ( ow was there to interview the H-sent by the h)

“She’s giggling, her arms around my neck, tequila and lime breath blowing in my face. “I said we had an interview. I was thinking we could get real deep.” She grabs a handful of my cock and it immediately reacts. “I appreciate the offer, Jenn. I really do.” I grit my teeth to keep from giving in. “The bus takes off soon. No time.”

There’s a crash from outside the bedroom just as Jenn steps away to remove her top. Two perky breasts are now exposed, begging for me. Fuck.
Her tits are nice, and it has been awhile. She sinks down to her knees, a wicked smile lighting up her face as she eyes my crotch and licks her lips. If she sucks me off, I won’t be returning the favor. I should let her know. She has my fly undone in seconds and her hands are on my waistband, ready to unveil the goods.

I want to tell her to stop gawking and get to work, but before I can open my mouth a small figure bursts through the door, eyes red as the devil.
Lyric (h’s name). Gorgeous Lyric. She shouldn’t have eyes of the devil but she sure as shit does right now. Her arms fold across her busty chest, and she glares at Jenn. “Put your tits away and get the hell out.”

Then few pages later while his dicks still hard from the ow, he thinks this

“I want Lyric beneath me, wrapped around me, slipping and sliding with me until her moans turn to screams. I fucking want her. And I want her words, too. Her angry lyrics, her vulnerable confessions. I want it all.”🙄🙄🙄

He also tells the h that she can’t barge in and interrup him.🙄

H would’ve fucked the ow, if the h hadn’t interrupted or would’ve been at it if she was 5 mins late. Not cheating, but still a gross scene.
The h is bunking with them on that tour bus.

***4.5/5 Stars***

Dangerous Hearts was an emotionally packed story that quickly grabbed a hold of my heart. If you love rocker romances, then you're in for a treat with this duology. It was witty, fun and charming while also being sexy and seductive. I devoured these books way too fast and I can't wait to pick up another book by KK Allen.
Music is my everything. It’s the air I breathe. The beat I walk to. The blood in my veins. It’s what lulls me to sleep at night. What carries me through the storms of my life … like the one that just passed. - Lyric

Lyric Cassidy was the daughter of a pop goddess and a rock star. After having her heart-broken by a bad boy rocker, Lyric was determined she wouldn't fall for Wolf Chapman's charms. He was the lead singer of the world-famous band she was going to manage and go on tour with. Not only was he another bad boy, but he was a serious player. Sure he was beyond gorgeous and crazy talented, but his reputation had Lyric's walls up high. Her heart would not be broken again.
My hand shoots out and smacks his chest. He laughs, but catches my hand. “Don’t be an asshole. I was just starting to like you.”
“Really?” His brows shoot up and I immediately regret my statement. When I try to pull away he tugs me closer and wraps his hand around mine.
His nose runs a line from my ear down my neck, and then he presses his lips into the soft spot at its base. I try to ignore the shiver that ripples through me, laughing instead as I try to push him away.

I liked Lyric right from the start. She was strong-willed, a hard worker, kind and amazingly talented. Lyric wrote songs that were beautifully breathtaking and they spoke deep into my soul. Yet that talent was just one of the many secrets that she kept hidden. And she didn't just guard her secrets, but her heart too. After being hurt by people, I got why she was standoffish when she met Wolf. She had already been there and didn't want to go down that road again. But Wolf was hard to ignore. And even harder to resist.
I want Lyric beneath me, wrapped around me, slipping and sliding with me until her moans turn to screams. I fucking want her. And I want her words, too. Her angry lyrics, her vulnerable confessions. I want it all. - Wolf

Wolf was cocky, seductive, charming and the world was his oyster. One night stands, alcohol and music was what filled his life. He didn't date and he definitely didn't fall in love. But the more I got to see who he truly was, oh wow, I fell hard. I absolutely loved Wolf. He was caring, sweet, thoughtful and so much more than he portrayed to the world. And I loved that he was brutally honest with us, we got to hear all of his thoughts. But with Lyric in the picture now, his world was slowly going to start to change.
If anything can illuminate the darkness, it’s the feelings I have for this woman right here.

His words seep into my cracked exterior and soak my heart, turning it to mush.

Once the tour started, it was obvious that he wanted her and she wanted him. And as they started to work together and get to know each other, a tentative friendship was formed. But Lyric and Wolf had both been damaged from their pasts, so every step forward was touching to watch. Their journey was extremely emotional, especially since they both had so much to learn. But Lyric had more to learn and she frustrated me a few times. We learn why she is the way she is in the next book and I was thankful that I got to understand her a lot better.
He leans in closer so I can feel his cheek just barely scrape mine. “I’m not who you want me to be.” His tone is gentle now, apologetic. “I’m not what you need.”
I reach out, gripping his waist as another tear falls.
With a stuttered breath, I take his words and accept them, pull away from his warmth, and walk away without looking back.
“I know,” I whisper.

So yes, I definitely recommend this duology! There was friendship, romance, rock n roll, the excitement of the concerts and we got to see everything that happened backstage, on the bus and in the hotels eeps. On top of all of that, this book had some of the most scorching hot scenes. It was all so perfectly drawn out and beyond seductive *fans face*. So definitely pick this one up if you adore romance and rocker stories, you don't want to miss out!

So many words I want to say. I loved this story. For me, it's always hit or miss when it comes to Rock Star type books. I either love them or I just can't seem to connect. This is my FIRST book by this author. She had me completely entwined with these characters. It had just enough angst, to compliment the swooning, just enough build out, to lead to the fiery Passion, just enough heartbreak to make me feel like I was right there in between the pages of this book.

Lyric and Wolf will be working together. She's the new road Manager for this big time band. Wolf is the lead singer, who just so happens to be drop dead gorgeous. Lyric has plans to stay professional, especially with everything she went through with her last relationship. These two start out as friends but down the line cannot deny the connection, the passion, the dangerous hearts.

Sometimes, you just connect with a story it leaves you breathless & restless for more words, more feels, more emotions. K.K. Allen takes you on a journey of every one of those emotions. She also leaves you with heart ache and heartbreak.

I was running away from one thing that was bad for my heart, and I ran smack into another.”

Heads up…there’s a bit of a cliffy so be ready for book two!

I loved the actual romance of this story. There was tension, but not so much that it made me want to scream at the book every other page. I loved that these characters were very different, but still incredibly similar. They were determined not to want each other, but chemistry is chemistry. I wouldn’t call it an enemies to lovers, but I wouldn’t quite call it friends to lovers. But they don’t want to like each other and then they become friends and then they become lovers. They’re fairly quick transitions. The pacing is actually really good.

The story is strong, the spice is good. Probably two and a half to three chili peppers. I didn’t love the ending, but mainly because I didn’t realize it was a duet at first. Lol. But overall, I’d definitely recommend it.

Heads up - each book is about a three and a half hour read so it’s about seven hours overall.

Dangerous Hearts by Author K. K. Allen is book one in A Stolen Melody Duet. It is a rocker romance.

"The last thing I need after my embarrassing breakup is to be in the presence of another rock star with a massive hard-on for himself."

Lyric is the daughter of rockstars. She's dated rockstar. She's been burned by...rockstars. But, she loves this musician world. Traveling with a band, managing their road trips, its invigorating...and safe. She can keep in touch with her musician roots, without being consumed by them. This rule of thumb has held true until Wolf.

"All my heart needed were the right ingredients to bring me back to life. Lyric is my light, my water, my soil, my sun."

Bad boy rocker meets good girl lyricist. And then fate...
I love a rocker romance novel that can bring in the musicality of the industry, serve up the heat, and sink into my heart. Dangerous Hearts did this, and more. Lyric and Wolf were two fabulous characters. Each trying to overcome their past by going a million miles an hour on the present. It's so cute *winks* that they didn't plan on slamming into each other at that speed and creating an explosion. Everything after that left cute in the dust and put sexy in the main focus of vision. The race was on, and it was HOT! Wolf and Lyric had chemistry that made you want to push them together and never let them move. With every exploration, a new level of desire was met, and a new layer of these characters was exposed. The mix of highs and lows dispersed between lust and admiration made for the perfect combination of angst and pleasure.

"...while I came on this tour to run from one dangerous heart, I smacked right into another … or so I thought. Come to find out, the only dangerous heart around here belongs to me."

Dangerous Hearts was a sizzling hot rocker romance that gave me just enough to make me crave more. AND I NEED MORE!

Oh wow did I love this book!!! I've never read a book by this author before and I truly have no idea why after reading this. This book kept me engaged from the very first page and didn't let me go till the end. I'm already on pins and needles waiting to read the next one.

Lyric is no stranger to the music industry or bad boy rockers and the heartbreak they leave you with so she's immune in a way until she ends up in Wolfs grasp and he's probably the baddest boy rocker there is. They both try to fight the undeniable chemistry lingering between but, they start to realize it just to much.

This story had so much ups and downs and emotion I just couldn't get enough!

Dangerous Hearts is the first book that I have read by K.K. Allen! I most certainly won't be making it my last!

Of course, in DH we have a bad-boy rocker, Wolf, who is naturally sexy as can be! He doesn't do relationships, only one-night stands. Typical rock star, right? We all know what happens when you jump on that train don't we girls? Heartbreak.

Letting someone in means letting them see all of me-the damage, the hurt, the pain, the bitterness I have toward life beyond the music.

Lyric, which by the way, is the best female character name that I have ever come across in my years of reading! She was recently crushed by her now ex boyfriend who is also in a band. Hence why she has it in her mind that bad-boy rockers are a bad idea! That is all about to change...

He steals my breath, my heart, and my soul, all in one telling kiss.

Music is my everything. It's the air I breathe. The beat I walk to. The blood in my veins. It's what lulls me to sleep at night. What carries me through the storms of my life.

I personally believe that all things happen for a reason. Maybe that bad-boy rocker isn't who you see in your future because of your past, but don't let opportunity walk right by.

My favorite part was the push and pull between the main characters! I was on the edge waiting for them to finally move forward and when they did, it was better than I ever expected it to be especially for the “no sex” portion of their sexual encounter! LOL!

I received this book to read and give an honest review through the New Adult Book Club, so thank you to them, before I forget😉.

This is my first K.K. Allen book... not my first book about rock stars though, not by a long shot, haha! No spoilers here, but I will say, there was a bazinga of a cliffhanger at the end of this book that kind of threw me a bit. I had gotten wrapped up in my own head and didn't read the promo link well enough, or I may have just confused 2 books in my head. At any rate, I probably should have done a bit more research before signing up; because right now, me and cliffies...we aren't on such great terms... LOL! So when I got to the end of this book... and it was *where* it was, I may have said a few colorful words, oopsie! Hopefully, we don't have to wait too long for the next one.

I had almost no complaints about the actual writing, I only saw a couple of teeny, proofy things... The story flowed well, the back and forth between the character POV's were integrated in such a way that made sense, it was a tad predictable, but rock stars, you know?!? However... the smut was smoking hot. I really liked the song lyrics and behind the scenes tidbits of the music business. The characters behaved as you'd expect them to... sort of... LOL, read the book, you'll understand it!

Anyway, 3.5 rockin' the tour-bus stars! And thank you again to all who had a part in making sure I got a copy of this book to review!

K.k Allen has become one of my favorite authors. Her writing is flawless and phenomenal..

Lyric has been the road manager for one of the hottest rock bands..She is strong willed and cuts herself off from the rock band image that Wolf has..She has her heart broken by a rockstar. She is determined not to go through it again. She has a secret. One she is determined to keep in. But day by day Wolfe tears down the wall she tries so hard to keep up..

Wolf has that bad boy rocker image that comes along with being a rock star. But when he sets his eyes and heart on Lyric, that image quickly goes away. He wants her. And he isn't afraid to show it. Getting Lyrics' wall to come down can be a challenge.

I am not to keen on rock star romances but Kk Allen has definitely changed that. This book deserves far more than just 5 stars!!!!

This is my first KK Allen book and boy am I going to buy all of her other books to read!!!! I was lucky enough to get this book as an ARC and I'm so glad I did! The story was very well written! There was plenty of chemistry between the characters We get two points of view from both characters and really get to know them and their backgrounds. I can't wait for the second book to find out what happens in the next chapter of Lyric and Wolf's journey!!!

Wow! Totally and pleasantly surprised by this one!!!! Rockstar reads are sacred to me. They have to be done just right and be true to the lifestyle. I don't want fluffy boy meets girl, boy swoons girl, they fall in love, and HEA. That's hardly ever true. I want real, raw, and true. Even if it's heartbreaking, I want REAL. Dangerous Hearts was real. I loved every single minute of it. It's was everything I love about a great rock story.

Be forewarned... This is not a standalone. I repeat THIS IS NOT A STANDALONE. I had no idea. I knew it was part of a series but didn't realize the second book is the conclusion to Wolf and Lyric's story. I cannot wait to find out what happens next. I only have to wait until July, but I'm still flipping out creating scenarios in my mind which isn't always a good thing. July cannot come fast enough.

Sexy, naughty rock stars. Plus, an awesome storyline. What more can you ask for? For myself, I'm satisfied!

K.K. Allen has recently become one of my favorite authors. This happened after reading her other books Up in the Treehouse and Under the Bleachers. Both those were two of the best books ever! So, when I had the opportunity to read/review Dangerous Hearts I jumped at the chance. This book didn't disappoint. The hate to lust to love between Lyric and Wolf was super HOT! I can't wait to get my hands on book two!

**Spoiler Free Duet Review**

“You’re the only one I see. When I’m singing to a sea of faces, yours is the one I look for.”

Well, the Stolen Melody Duet was one entertaining, angsty, drama filled read, that’s for sure. If you’re in the mood for one of those Kindle throwing reads where you find yourself shouting at the characters to….communicate, then this sexy, swoony, dramatic and emotional romance is for you!

‘Music has always been my purpose, but Lyric waltzed in and gave substance to it all.’

If there’s one thing we loved about K K Allen’s Up in the Treehouse, it was the relationship build, the intense feeling of love, which was also apparent in the Stolen Melody Duet. Whilst the relationship between Lyric and Wolf was anything but a slow build, we no less believed the magnitude of the attraction and chemistry between these two passionate characters.

“You don’t see it, do you? What you do with words?”

In this rock star romance, K K Allen certainly brought the fabulous -behind the scenes music feel- we crave in these stories, putting us right in the moment with the band; with Lyric and Wolf as they navigated their way through the turbulence and obstacles of life on the road as a rock star. The force and sensation, the excitement as the band took to the stage made us feel as though we were there.

Both Lyric and Wolf are products of the music industry, destined to be part of the scene thanks to their parents. Lyrics father is a well-respected rocker, her mother….well, she’s another story, and Wolf’s father was also part of the scene, so it was in the stars these two would follow that same path. Lyric behind the scenes, and Wolf Chapman, as the driving force and front man of Wolf, the band.

Both Lyric and Wolf carry self regrets from their pasts, harbouring a lot of pain which is reflected in how each live their lives, finding it hard to trust and let down those walls. Opening up doesn’t come easy for these two, especially so Lyric, who really has been bitten by disloyalty from loved ones.

‘It’s funny how fighting for someone you love gives you more strength than fighting for yourself.’

We have to admit there were times Lyric drove us to distraction. Poor Wolf didn’t know if he was coming or going. Lyric was hiding secrets from her past, Wolf was left in the dark as to what they were, yet was expected to understand Lyric’s hesitancy, a hard ask when he has no idea what her secrets entailed. We kept thinking….just tell him…communicate.

‘Here words are her weapons, and I’ve lost count of how many times she’s stabbed me. All I know is that it fucking hurts.’

We loved the relationship build, the music feel, the secondary characters were all fabulous as were the developing relationships of the Wolf band members, the comradery of the band and the banter between them. The romance was swoony and it was certainly hot, though at times we felt the sex overshadowed the emotional relationship between Lyric and Wolf, but then again, the physical release became a much needed escape and connection for them both.

“I want this,” he says. “I want us.”

This was one roller-coaster we didn’t want to get off! We probably would have preferred a little less dramatics, but overall the sexy, swoony and emotional elements we enjoyed far outweighed the odd annoyances. Fans of angsty rock star romances, who want to feel as though they’re part of the story, and who love having their stomachs (and hearts) tied up in knots; you’ll revel in this duet!

‘He steals my breath, my heart, and my soul, all in one telling kiss.’

I love me a good rock star romance. I am
really picky and very hard to please when
it comes to them. So when I come across
one that intrigues me I do a happy dance.

This one met all of my high requirements
and I really enjoyed it. I liked Lyric. I
loved how she managed the band and
how she took no shit from Wolf. She
had insecurities but they did not rule
her, she dealt. Wolf was everything that
I loved in my rocker boys. I also
like persistence in my heros and he
had that. In spades.

This is the first book that I have read
by this author and I am excited to
read more in the future.

I enjoyed the first 57% SO MUCH! I loved everything about Lyric and Wolf. But then 58% happened and Wolf said something that PISSED ME THE FUCK OFF. After that I couldn't connect to him. And I hate to say this (I swear I'm not a prude) but the sexy times was so... 🙄😑 I actually laughed (and liked) that they were having a hard time because Wolf was ALWAYS. FUCKING. HORNY. Dude needed to chill. So for the next 20% we're reading about all the ways these two get off and then something strange happens. Wolf is telling Lyric an emotional story about his mother. And they have sex right after. *facepalm* It didn't fit. Add in the ex-boyfriend drama and this book turned into everything I stay away from in books nowadays.

The ending was okay. I understood it. But I'm still mad over everything that happened from 57-90%. The book ends at 95% so I didn't get to enjoy it as much as I wanted to. 😔

Rockstar romances have become a huge favorite of mine. When I found out that K.K. Allen was writing this book, I could not wait to get my hands on it. K.K. Allen's writing blows me away every single time. Her words make me feel. Make me fall in love. Make me an emotional wreck. Her words let me feel everything. Dangerous Hearts took me on an emotional roller coaster ride leaving me breathless. This story is everything. The character development was spot on. Each character grew in different ways and I loved seeing how they changed from beginning to end.

Lyric grew up with music in her blood being the daughter of two huge musicians. Even though she wasn't doing what they wanted her to do, she still found a way to be in the music business. After her recent breakup, she ends up as a road manager for Wolf. And being a female road manager is tough!! But, this is one job she is great at. Sparks fly when they first meet. What I love about Lyric is that she is very independent. She didn't want anything from her parents. She earned what she has worked hard for. Lyric loves fiercely. Her song lyrics are absolutely beautiful and you feel the love and pain in them. A talent she keeps hidden. But why?

Wolf, short for Beowulf, is a womanizer. His name is just flat out sexy as is. He doesn't do love or relationships. After firing his road manager, he hires Lyric based on her reputation and not who her parents are. The moment they meet, she was already his. He just didn't know it yet. He made it no secret that he likes women and had no interest in Lyric, but when others showed interest in her, he made them stay away. He was so protective of her. I loved seeing him slowly let one girl open his heart up once again. Learning his secrets of why he is the way he is was very emotional and just sad.

What I loved about this book was the epic romance. Well, I should say that I loved everything about this book since I absolutely did. Hello!!! Rockers!!! But yes, I loved seeing Wolf completely fall for Lyric. He was the big, bad rocker who everyone says not to fall in love with. He even said it himself. Seeing him slowly change and want things he never wanted was so sweet. I love seeing the bad boys go soft. It was beautifully written and made me fall in love with these two. I was rooting for them from the very beginning. Wolf and Lyric were able to share their pasts with each other. Their feelings. They opened up to each other and became each other's support. I loved how they would share their lyrics and write lyrics together. I am literally sitting her fan-girling right now over this!!

I really, really fell in love with who Wolf and Lyric were to each other. The prologue at the beginning gave us an insight to their past and how they first met. This was one of the main reasons I really fell for them. I was hooked with this prologue. I knew who they were to each other, but they didn't.

Dangerous Hearts was a captivating story from start to finish. I could not put this book down. My mind is blown right now. This book does end with a cliffhanger that definitely left me wanting more. I seriously need the second book right now!!! K.K. Allens writing is just beautiful and exquisite. She knows how to completely entrance her readers and make us feel so many emotions with her words. This book has become one of my top favorites. I still can't get this story and the characters out of my head. If you are looking for an edgy and sexy rockstar romance, then this book is for you!! It is a definite reread for me!!!

Romance with a side of sizzling?
Check!
Cliffhanger that leaves you on the edge of planet earth?
Check!
And one super hot, bad boy rocker with a sweet side?
Checkedy check check check!

Lyric, to some, words are cheap. For us, words are everything.

The first book in the Stolen Melody Duet series introduces us to Lyric and Wolf. Total opposites in many ways, but so similar in others.
When Lyric lands the job of Wolf's tour manager she's thrust into his world of rock and roll while trying to keep her heart hidden from rockers like him. But Wolf is interested in getting to know Lyric, at least for just one night. They're both drawn to each other time & time again and are forced to face the music.....they care for each other beyond the physical. So what happens when life gets in the way and Lyric & Wolf have hard choices to make? Who will walk away from the start of their song?

I became addicted to Wolf and Lyric's story from the beginning. This certainly wasn't you average rocker romance, which is a good thing! There was incredible depth and growth with the two main characters throughout the book. Wolf was so charming it was easy to fall in love with his character. And at the same time to feel his pain from his childhood. I think both Lyric and Wolf make for a perfect leading couple and I'm anxious to see how their story will end in the next part, Destined Hearts.
In my opinion, this book deserves a full five "howls at the moon" stars! I'm very interested in reading Allen's other books, as I loved this one! Recommend it times a million!!!
