A boy who was trying to impress a girl by taking her on an adrenaline-pumping fairground ride saw his plan backfire - when he PASSED OUT.

Daniel Melendez Barron shared the video of his attempt to impress on the Sling Shot at a Six Flags theme park .

But the ride, which has been noted for knocking out those who ride it in the past, was too much for the young man - and he fainted four times.

In the video, it's shown as less than three seconds before the boy passes out in the park in Mexico, reports La Republica .

Although it's unknown exactly what age Daniel is, the companies which operate rides like these has been criticised as campaigners believe that minors should be banned from the ride.

Many reportedly faint on rides which engender high levels of adrenaline

The video has gone viral and has more than two million views on Facebook.

There is a medical reason why so many people do pass out on rides which flood the brain with adrenaline.

Vasovagal syncope happens when the heart rate slows down and blood pressure drops, causing the sufferer to faint.

The young boy went on the ride with a friend

According to the NHS , An external trigger – such as an unpleasant sight, heat or sudden pain – can temporarily cause the autonomic nervous system to stop working properly, resulting in a fall in blood pressure and fainting.

It may also cause your heartbeat to slow down or pause for a few seconds, resulting a temporary interruption to the brain's blood supply.
