NO driver ever wants to be pulled over by the police, but if you do find yourself in the haze of the flashing blue lights, pray that PC Plod steps out of something nearly half as cool as this freakish machine.
Ahead of the New York International Motor Show, Japanese auto manufacturer Nissan released a special one-of-a-kind police vehicle that has turned more than a few heads.
Going by the nickname "Copzilla", the jet black 2017 Nissan GT-R is fitted with police lights, bull bars and, of course, a huge rear spoiler making it one mean looking crime-fighter.
Unfortunately, as it was built purely as a show vehicle, it is unlikely that we will be seeing any new model GT-R's rolling into a police force any time in the near future.
Nissan will no doubt reveal their reason for creating a police prototype at the New York show, however, as the 2017 GT-R's pose as realistic potential options for future fleets in some of the world's more cashed-up police agencies.
If it was to be picked up by a law enforcement agency, with a twin-turbo V6, 562bhp engine under the bonnet, it would be one of the fastest police cars in the world.
Early last year, Dubai Police introduced a 2016 model GT-R to their fleet, adding even more grunt to arguably the most powerful collection of police cars in the world.
Law enforcers in the United Arab Emirates city also drive specially modified police versions of the Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FF, Audi A8, McLaren MP4-12C, Aston Martin One-77 and Lamborghini Aventador.
No doubt Dubai Police will be keeping an eye out for any update on the latest Nissan cop car.
