I swear I squealed with unrestrained delight when I found out that Chemical Attraction was coming out! The Social Experiment has quickly become one of my favorite series by Addison Moore. It's hilarious and entertaining ! And good lord oh so sexy! I loved where Addison Moore went with Ember and Dexter's story. Their story has such a unique twist on the their history and attractions to each other. When all of that crazy was thrown into the mix I was going nuts! Scary as all hell but couldn't look away! This book was so awesome!

3.88 ★★★★☆

《 Plot 》
The Social Experiment (TSE) makes another appearance with Group C using ‘The Chemical Attraction’ as their theme this time.

Ember, a woman who doesn’t believe in love, is a Group C’s participant. Ember declares to her friends that she will ruin the TSE. Dexter Houston is the mastermind behind TSE. This book puts the spotlight on Dexter, the story behind how TSE comes up and his past life.

The things both Dexter and Ember have in common are both of them don’t believe in love. Dexter believes he can make anyone fall in love with TSE. He accepts the challenge from his friends to make Ember falls in love with him. Ember has also set her mission to make Dexter falls head over heels with her in order to win the bet she made with her friends.

It’s being told from both Ember’s and Dexter’s point of view alternatively.

《 Characters 》
September Sparks, the female lead
September is more known by the name Ember in the book. She has a feisty side to her and yes, a little flirty. I love reading her story. She’s a bit playful around guy but she does have her maturity side. And yes, she is very straight forward.

Dexter Houston, the male lead
In the previous two books, we only catch a glimpse of Dexter but not on the story of his life. Unexpectedly (I was shocked lol), he had a little daughter named Chelle. Dexter has an ego of his own but he loves Chelle dearly. I think there is a little character development in Dexter nearing the end of the book.

《 Pros & Cons 》
Less content on dirty talk/thoughts
↳ This book is the same as the previous book. There is less content on thoughts surrounding sexual stuffs. There are a few here and there but not at almost page like in the first book.

A little different from the rest
↳ There’s a little action being put in this book which is nice.

A little grammatical error
↳ There’s a few grammatical error I noticed in this book.

《 Extras 》
In my opinion, I think the book ends nicely. The flow of story is good too. I am just glad I made the right decision to continue reading up until the last one. From what I have read, this is definitely a standalone book. It has the appearance of the characters from the previous book but it doesn’t interfere much with the story. You will understand just fine if you decide to read only this book.

“And I definitely like the slow road angle. I think everyone should see that love comes in different paces for different people.”―Ember

I love how accurate this is. Not everyone has a fast pace and some are just comfortable with taking things slowly. Different people come with different preferences.

⚝ Who should read? ⚝
❥ Want light and quick read
❥ Want to read new adult
❥ Love strong female lead

As soon as I found out that there was going to be another book in this series, I knew that I had to read it, and honestly Addison Moore didn’t disappoint. I did enjoy reading Dexter’s and Ember’s story as I did find them to be quite interesting characters, their story was completely different and not one that I expected. The angle that Addison chose to go with this book was a pretty interesting one and honestly, I am pretty glad she took it as it’s different from everything else. The one thing that I will say that I found a little distracting is that at times I found myself struggling to keep my attention whilst reading, it didn’t happen a lot but there was just something lacking that made it hard to keep my attention gripped. Other than that I think that Addison nailed it perfectly, I’m interested to see what happens next or to see if there is going to be anything else from all of the characters.

Ember has never believed in love, she has a huge heart but would much rather keep it shielded and protected than to risk giving it away and having it trompled over. She’s a good girl at heart but she does have one huge attitude that she would much rather show to everyone else, in a way it’s a mask to protect herself. The only aim she has when it comes to The Social Experiment that she ended up signing up for thanks to her friends, is that she is going to prove that she won’t fall in love instantly, however as you know things tend to go completely different than you expect them to.

***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review***
This is the last book in The Social Experiment Series and I am sad to see it end. I thoroughly liked the series. My go to for Addison Moore will always be the 3AM Kisses series, but this was a nice and refreshing series. Very different from anything I have read before and I liked it!
Ember... She is a spit fire! If I wouldn't have known, I would have assumed she was a red-head because that is what she reminded me of throughout the book. She is completely opposed to the L word. She doesn't believe in it and wants to prove that to her friends. So since she is the nanny/babysitter for Dexters daughter, her friends make a bet with her.
Dexter... He thinks he can make any girl fall in love with him and maybe he can, but he doesn't expect to be the one falling for the girl who was supposed to just be a bet. Now his friends pay up, but he doesn't want anything to end with Ember. He has fallen so head over heels for this woman that he would even loose his job to be with her.
Ember and Dexter both won their bets, but they didn't expect to be the ones falling for the other person. Only time will tell if these two will last!
This was such a great ending to the series! It seems like Addison Moore left herself open to be able to continue the series if she wanted to! Maybe we will see more of the Social Experiment in the future!

Ember and Dexter first meet when they run into each other while riding their bicycles on a mountain road that is somehow too narrow for them to pass each other safely although a moment earlier she was afraid that a semi might drive down that road. She nearly falls down the mountain, they argue, she gets hired to be his daughter's babysitter. She is dating someone in the unethical Social Experiment, which is run by Dexter. They are both cynical about love and they both bet their friends that they could make the other fall in love. They have sex and fall in love. He has a crazy ex who does crazy things. They live happily ever after.

I already complained about my issues with the experiment. It exploits students for ratings, just like any reality shows, but the participants aren't getting compensated. And then he goes and hooks up with one of the participants for a bet. Bad boy, you're a very bad boy, Dex.

A couple of other things that annoyed me after three books in this series all had this: The slut shaming, all the brothers who are weirdly enmeshed in their sister's love lives, and the way everyone's breasts or testicles are referred to as girls and boys.

I liked some of the dialogue.

I received an ARC of Chemical Attraction and I absolutely loved it!!! Good way to end this trilogy series, but I'm still here hoping like any good series we readers sink our teeth into there will be more, maybe in the future!!! Kinda been left open there cheeky Addison! She knows us well 😜 lol...
They say opposites attract but all kinds do is the reality of it.. These two Characters Ember and Dexter are like minded and both are cynics where Love is concerned for different reasons you will come to understand. Let the blood start pumping...
You will fall in love with this devilish duo along with a side character that brings them closer in their own cute way 😍
So read and fall even more in love with the Characters and couples Addison thinks up and join on this journey to where you find even the people you may believe closed off, may just have a chink in their armour after all, where love can seep in.
I think just like all Addison Moore books its best to say let yourself be the judge and read!, her books speak for themselves... I can't wait for the next of any book she gives us 😀 happy reading everyone hope you enjoy as much as I did xoxo

I liked this book it was cute but to be honest at first Ember really got on my nerves. I love heroines who are strong and take a stand for themselves but also I feel like you don’t have to have a snarky reply to every single person or thing being said, to me that is just immature. Just because you are an independent lady you don’t have to have a chip on your shoulder and be angry and say ridiculous things to people around you and having a reply to everything, to me sometimes it’s better to say nothing to prove yourself. Anyways as the story progressed the hate/love relationship between Ember and Dexter grew and she seemed to mature a bit which I think helped improve her character. It turned out that I love these two. They had their issues and trials to deal with but the author worked things out really well and I ended up enjoying this book.

Dex and Ember are one crazy couple - crazy perfect for each other. I love that they both started out thinking love is a sham, and ready to school the other. While I don't generally enjoy the whole "I bet they'll fall in love with me" premise, this worked so well in this book. Two jaded leads that both liked to pretend they didn't have a heart, but had huge hearts after all.

Ember is a fiercely independent, no-holds-barred lead, and she does what when wants to do and needs to do. She's loyal, caring and smart.

Dex is jaded by his own experiment, but he recognizes something in Ember immediately, so how jaded can he really be?

Overall, a good, fun, funny read with the right about of heat and conflict.

4 Stars!

The newly crowned (by me) Queen of Snark and Euphemisms, Addison Moore, is back with the third and final installment in The Social Experiment series about couples who connect through a, well, televised social experiment on their college campus. This time we get Ember and Dexter's story and it is pretty, freaking great!

Ember is sassy, snarky (of course) and doesn't believe in love. Dexter is the "genius" behind The Social Experiment and he has been jaded in the past. Ember doesn't believe in love. Dexter thinks he can match anyone with the perfect mate. Things aren't going well on screen, but behind the scenes sparks they are a flyin'.

There's a bet, a kid, steamy scenes, snark and the best euphemisms around! Chemical Attraction is a winner in my book!

Dexter is often left in awe of his woman, "Ember jumps to her feet and offers a slight wink before taking off for the door. What the h* ** just happened? I sit there far longer than necessary trying to figure it out, but I’m stumped." Dexter is a possessive one, "I knot up his shirt and pull him in without thinking. “You don’t touch her rack or any other part of her.” The man is seriously territorial, "his lips rake hard over my cheek until he’s nibbling on my ear. “Nobody kisses you but me,” he whispers it hot and aggressive..." I liked this book, I have to say that this is my favorite out of the other books in this series. I loved Dex and Ember.

The third installment in the Social Experiment series, Chemical Attraction, is an outstanding romantic comedy by Addison Moore. I've previously read the other two stories in this series and each one out does the one prior. Where were these kind of events/experiments when I was in college? The author has created an excellent plot line that she is able to expand on with more and more characters and distinctly different story lines that overlap. In this we learn about Dexter, the man behind TSE, and Ember, friends of participants on the previous two books. This matching wasn't planned, but holy monkeys I loved the wit and the charm and the sarcasm that was loaded on these pages.

Great story. This is a bittersweet moment for me. Even though I loved reading the final book in this series, and meeting Dex and Ember, it's still the final book. However, this book was amazing just like the others. The way that Dex and Ember originally started out was seriously riotous. There witty banter and comebacks always made me laugh. Their passion made me swoon and their heat made me sweat. All the right things to feel when reading a great romance story. Well done to Addison Moore for another amazing story.

P.S. I must admit I would have liked it if there were a book four, just because I would like to see something with Dan or even Arlo.

Not as good as the first two. For being so against love they sure fell in love quickly and without really getting to know each other. They didn't even spend much time together. There should have been more interactions and getting to know each other. The first two books the main characters already knew each other but we still saw them interact and learn things about each other. We learned some things with Dex and Ember but I felt there was not enough. And we really didn't see Ember with his daughter though she was supposed to be babysitting. It would have been a better book also with her getting to know the daughter more and hanging out with her more.

Probably my favourite of the trilogy but I still have to mention the pacing of the dialogue and the plot. It's an interesting idea to have a dating show on a campus but I don't believe what the cameras caught would actually make good TV (IMHO). This is a very small niggle and largely unrelated to the romantic story but it does illustrate my point that this author has good ideas and creates really likeable characters. She's also the Queen of one liners. But I need just a wee bit more world building. A bit of a slow down to the pacing. And some dialogue that isn't entirely one liners. (I'm exaggerating, but it was the major point that kept drawing me out of the stories).

Chemical Attraction is the third book in The Social Experiment series. Dexter has had two successful trails of TSE and is about to start the third at Leland. Ember has had two friends participate in the TSE and both have come out happy and in love. She plans to be the first failure in the experience as she doesn’t believe in romantic love. With both of them not believing love is for them it is fun to watch how they interact as they both place bets with their group of friends to get the other to say ‘I love you’ before the 6 weeks of TSE is over.

The Social experiment is back! This time with the love Guru Dexter himself finding that what he is convinced does not really exist just might in fact happens. Love! Pitted against the woman who could not possibly have a more perfect name to her persona Ember Sparks, we follow the two most disbelievers that love even exists as they fall down that slippery slope or shear cliff of love. The show that has had a 100% accuracy for helping coeds find love, just might have found the hardest one to crack on screen with her match. Behind the scenes though there is one bang of a romance beginning. Fuled by coffee and steak the two of them find themselves full of obstacles trying to prove that they can make the other fall in love. All bets are off though when they find themselves right where they swore they would never be heating up sheets and each others hearts. A laugh out loud read, that will keep you hooked until the very end.

(Definately 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟stars) This book was absolutely smashing. And finally the CREATOR gets a dose of his own CREATION. Fortunately for Dex everything turned out beautifully and he and Ember were together in the end. I enjoyed the book thoroughly and im sure as we all know Addison Moore is a GODDESS with her words.

Everything Addison Moore writes is great! The characters are so likable and relatable and make you want to read the entire series just so you can see what happens for every one of them! The writing is sharp and smart. The storylines are believable and entertaining. This series was a lot of fun and I would recommend reading the books in order!

Love triumphs

This is a great series. I couldn't wait to see how Ember handled her six week experiment. From dangling from her hair to car chases, she keeps things interesting. I really haven't care for Dexter very much through this series but he rebounded in this book. Great book and series

This book was so much fun to read! It was laugh out loud funny, sweet and entertaining. Addison More is the best at writing sarcasm. The characters are quick witted and sassy. The story is light hearted and makes you feel good when you read it.

You get to know Dexter and Ember in this third book and follow them as they fall in love, something neither one of them believes in. They meet in an unusual and harrowing way, have misunderstandings and romance and get their happily ever after all while you’re cracking up!

If you want to read a book that’s going to put a smile on your face this most definitely it!!!
